Whitebelly brings back a young Dust, who is welcomed by Eclipselight into their
little empire. Dust is renamed Dustpaw and is apprenticed under Whitebelly.

Although it is the beginning of newleaf and spirits are high, Eclipselight worries about the health of
the three of them and decides to go to the Sun Stone to ask the Heavens for a prophet to keep
them healthy.

-So far the Squad has found nothing interesting on Shadestripe situation
- Midnightkit hangs around Brushfire, much to Brushfire confusion.
-Glowpelt helps Coalbreaker to to the med cat den, where both are heavily eyes by Bluestorm
-The newly found Sawnflight is brought in.

- Pearpaw asks Creamfoot about his friendship Dawnrush, but only gets vague responses

-Sawnflight is brought into the clan injured, but refuses to speak to her.

- Jaggedear worries about Nightspot accidentally revealing Briarcreeks secret
- After their insisting that everything if fine doesn't land, the two reveal that they are a couple, and subsequently reveal this to the clan.
-Windclaw has elmspark help draw everyone to the center of the clan, where he reveals Briarcreeks pregnancy without an outside clan.
-Windclaw, Brushfang, Oceanpaw, Elmspark, Minnowyesm and Twigsnap begin to argue that code breakers have no place in the clan.
-Snowbell and Duststep quickly argue back, While Slitear, Jaggedear, and Nightspot quickly stepped to block off anyone from getting near Briarcreek
-Laurelstar is panicked, and hesitates to step in, leaving Windclaw to accuse the lack of punishment on familial favoritism.
Before any more accusations can be made, Flamehope steps in, and offers to leave if cross clan borns are such a problem, as her kits are the same,
- She goes on to mentioned the clans hope for more kits, and how they should all be ashamed of themselves for even considering putting kittens in harms way.
-Windclaw directly get in Flamehopes face, trying to intimidate her, bit it fails.
- Laurelstar montions for Sandstormm to pull Windclaw away from Flamehope, the addresses the clan herself
- Makes the call that if Starclan didn't want cross clan kits, they would not have brought them here.
-Several people try to argue, but Laurelstar will hear none of it.

-At night, Windclaw enter the med den, exciting ocean paw until she realizes he's not there to see her.
-Coalbreaker is also awake at this time, overhears Windclaw.
- Windclaw approachs Swanflight, who bristles.
- Though he tries to press her, all she will say is that "she" wants nothing to do with him.

Summary: Eidernose congratulates Yarrowpaw on learning all of her required skills; Yarrowpaw tells her mentor she will wait for her brother, Chaserpaw, to join her before she takes her assessment. Firpaw and Umberpaw celebrating Fescuebreeze's new name and rank, as Paprikastrike and Selene look on contentedly with their kits Owlkit and Rabbitkit.

Icyclaw checks up on Winterflame, who has had two extremely cute white kits - who are named Glowkit and Candlekit - and asks who the father is. His sister does not answer, but for once? Icy does not mind. He really does have a soft spot for kits huh.

Creamthistle checks in on his kit, Cresspaw, right after he is apprenticed. Unsurprisingly, as he has not had many chances to visit him while in the nursery, Cresspaw does not like him at all. Oh well. Will he get along with his older half-sister Bitternpaw and Ryepaw? Only time will tell. {To be continued(tm)}

juliet does bc she feels bad

cloudytree knows she is so in love with thistle. but she puts her love aside and talks to fortune, who has become apprentice-aged but still on the small side. he got beat up by a passing loner and is now rlly scared. cloudytree decides to get the young tom the hell out of the rogues and asks if he wants to join tundraclan. he is confused. is she a spy?? but honestly he doesnt care because his father thorn was too busy making battle plans with the rogues to care for fortune. fortune agrees to join tundraclan, sad to leave his mother but cloudytree reassures him that she will do whatever she can to protect peach. cloudytree doesnt know how to tell her, but peach ends up overhearing it all anyways. she thanks cloudytree for protecting her son and asks her to take her to tundraclan after she gives birth. cloudytree questions why after birth, not before. peach sighs and explains how once she tried to leave the rogues but thorn had something to say about it, motioning to a scar on her nose bridge. she doesnt want thorn to accidentally hurt her kits. cloudytree nods in understanding

cloudytree tells thistle about her plan to save peach and fortune. thistle is so happy because cats are finally getting out of his father's control. cloudytree also tells thistle about how much she loves him. thistle's purrs are so loud it is literally deafening. he literally loves her sm too. simp. thistle, even though he never met foxkit, thinks of her as his stepkit bc thats cloudytrees daughter. he wants to save foxkit more than ever now

morninglight has a psychotic break. swanflight, wisteriaflight, hollystar, and her remaining family members care for her during this time. beetlethorn curls up to her mother. they just talk. about the weather. the birdsong outside. anything to make morninglight feel happy and safe. the others leave the mother and daughter duo alone for morninglight's comfort, so she does not feel overwhelmved. beetlethorn loves her mother and will do anything to make sure she is okay. she even finds a calming, new game for the two to play. beetlethorn draws a square with nine smaller squares inside of it. she tells morninglight that they each take turns putting drawing either a circle or an x in one of the boxes, and whoever gets three squares of their shape in a row first wins. this calms morninglight and lets her think about something else other than the world around her

Northstar gathers the clan and officially announces new rules that will take effect in the clan. Outside relationships require her approval. If kits are born without one, they will be killed. Cats can receive whatever names they desire, she does not care. Unless they are really stupid, those may result in a kick from the clan. No more kittypets are allowed. They only bring their reputation down. Noone is to go against her word or will, which is final and absolute. She talks for a long time and many more rules are stated. Most cats start to doze off after a quarter of an hour.

Northstar also continues to bring the kibbits with her and teach them about the responsibilities of deputies. Owl used to help her teach them good manners, but now can’t leave Thornblaze’s kits alone. On one such venture, North tells the kits about how she was chosen by Starclan to become a clan leader and that they visited her in a dream. Whetley remembers that she recently dreamt of the she-cat. She says that in the dream they were all in a beautiful and rich place having a ball and Northstar was the most beautiful cat there and as she walked down from her pedestal everyone looked at her in awe and bowed their heads. She also says that Bacup was in it too and he was spinning around trying to find his tail, but it was missing, but at that point Northstar stops listening. She starts wondering if Whetley’s dream could be telling the future and whether the kitten, just like her, is given glimpses of their destiny by Starclan. After all, she was sent to her by Starclan so it would make sense. She convinces herself that this is a sign from the heavens that Whetley is the one to be her deputy and she can now get rid of Bacup. The kit is nothing but trouble anyway. When Thornblaze brought them to the clan she promised not to kill them, so she spares his life, but starts ignoring him and focusing the training solely on Whetley.

Rainstorm and Seashell get taken in by the clan. They used to belong to a large clan, but it was struck by a tragedy. Cats got swept by massive waves of water and only five survivors remained. With the leader dead, Rainstorm took their responsibilities, previously being the head warrior. Despite his efforts, three of the cats suffered too much and soon died to exhaustion and disease. Without a medicine cat and their herb storage obliterated, there was no saving them. Seashell was no help either. In the great flooding she lost her mate and kits. Her previous litter didn’t survive for long either, with one of the kittens being a stillborn and the other two killed by a fox when she went out to hunt for food. They’re both heavily mentally scarred and in Rain’s case also physically. He used to be a very caring tom, always putting himself in danger to save others, doing all the heavy work and helping wherever he could. This hasn’t change, but his attitude did. No longer is he the cheerful, joking and optimistic cat he used to be. He feels forsaken by Starclan and has a hard time accepting the deaths of his family and friends. Hearing that Northstar speaks to Starclan and receives messages from them in her dreams interested him. He seeks answers from the stars and starts studying them wondering if this way he can find out about future events. Because of his scary looks most cats keep away from him so he spends most of his time alone or with Seashell.

Songbird used to belong to their clan and the cats knew each other very well. He tries to console Seashell, but is also saddened to hear that his old friends are dead. He also learns that his best friend, whom he got into a fight with just before leaving the clan, was killed by a dog short after. Songbird is a sweetheart so noone makes a connection that those two events may have been related.

Gentleman keeps visiting Amber and telling her all sorts of tragic stories about the outside world and all the mistakes sylphs can make that can lead to killing their patient. Amber hides in a hole under the tracks for a couple of days, until Songbird and Jinx dig her out and return her to her cart.

--Dace and Salmon's tale - how they lost their family. Swamp gators are not cats' friends, a harsh reality too many cats now in ChaosClan have realized...
--Sloebramble has been wandering a forest for a while, in search of... something. They aren't sure what, but they are tired of bumping into things. Perhaps they can find someone to guide them in ChaosClan.
--Pineconepaw and Popcornpaw hit it off right away, while Fritillarypaw befriends Salmonpaw with her quiet attitude and supportive nature. The other apprentices can be a lot, with their different outgoing and fiery personalities, and the two new apprentices take solace in their alikeness.
--Olivegrowl sees that her kits are hiding something from her, determined to see what it is throughout the moon. The stories of the same thing happening to Kiwituft echo around her brain, having a small inkling she knows what she might find eventually - her suspicions proving correct when two kits come out of the swamp, dirty but bright. The tom quickly announces, his chest puffed, that he is Spadekit, and his sister is Olivekit. The she-cat is more timid, only perking up and trusting Olivegrowl when she mentions her name was once Olivekit too. Silently, Olivegrowl smiles at knowing there is another 'olive' in the clan, already falling in love with the two kits as if they were her own, Spadekit reminding her of herself and Olivekit, not quite painfully, reminding her of her late mate, Eveningrain.

dragonsoar, lycheewings, and sedgepaw hang out in the medicine cats' den. dragonsoar has been relegated to bedrest re: alpinemask's orders after he caught her trying to practice battle moves in the middle of the den. lycheewings helps sedgepaw memorize some of the herbs alpinemask has been showing her, but sedgepaw has some trouble and begins to express her feeling that she'll never get it right and she's always had trouble with training, and maybe she isn't cut out to be a medicine cat after all. but lycheewings and dragonsoar console her and it's a spark of real, genuine friendship

ambergleam and thrushspark receive their full names and cyanstar's family have a moment of gathering together to celebrate. their family has grown so much, from when it was just cyanstar, falconflight, and twiteflight. now there are mates and grand-kits and it really is so amazing how much time has passed. cue the family banter and cyanstar having an emotional moment, letting himself be swept up in his own happiness and pride for his family while falconflight tries to regain control over the kits, thrushspark boasts about how cool his name is, and dandelionspring and autumnflower congratulate ambergleam on passing her assessment

in the elders' den, briskbird makes it a point to be welcoming to be super welcoming to the new elder, who is a little gruff and not instantly loving the warm hospitality. but briskbird is really trying his best and icicleclaw and brindlestrike try their best to help out and keep briskbird's feeling from getting hurt. then raccoonears comes in for a visit and briskbird comments that raccoonears seems a little down, she admits that she can't think of a way to make rosellathorn realize that raccoonears is actually super in love with her and that she wants to be more than friends. because she's also worried that rosellathorn doesn't feel the same way. and this all prompts the elders into put their heads together and start brainstorming ideas

verglaspetal is still reeling from houndjaw's death and has been putting her all into training rootpaw to cope. rootpaw finally calls the training session to a stop and asks verglaspetal if she's feeling alright. and she knows that verglaspetal isn't, but it's the best she can do. and verglaspetal tries so hard to keep it together but she sobs. just full blown emotion, and its a really sweet apprentice-mentor moment as rootpaw shows how mature and level-headed she really is while she comforts verglaspetal, who is literally holding her family together

snakespots, tallpeak, and aspenwish meet with cyanstar and splashfall. they're all just long-time friends vibing out after a long day of hunting and patrolling. they look over to where the elders are gathered together talking, and aspenwish makes a comment that they aren't so different from the clan elders, and everyone laughs except snakespots. when splashfall asks him what's wrong, snakespots smiles and says that it won't be long until he'll be ready to retire, and tallpeak jokes that he has been slowing down over the moons, but snakespots doesn't laugh, so the others know that he's serious. cyanstar admits that falconflight had requested to move to the nursery with the kits because he felt that he wasn't as young of a warrior as he used to be. as the conversation continues, splashfall admits that he had thought about what it would be like to retire, but he always thought that redstar, sweetecho, brackenrose, and blizzardrush would've been with them

meanwhile, many of the younger warriors set out on a hunting patrol. foxbounce teases poppybloom about being distracted, but he runs off after marigoldstream, leaving azaleabreeze and adderflash to ask poppybloom what has been bothering her. she is hesitant, but confides in them that she met a tom named mysterio. her littermates begin to gush, but poppybloom quiets them, knowing that lambtuft would be crushed, and she doesn't want to hurt his feelings. before azaleabreeze can ask what poppybloom is going to do, the rest of the patrol is stopped when siskinship lets out a scream. it turns that wisteriavine fell into a hole when the ground collapsed under her. shamrockeyes tries to climb down to help wisteriavine, but the ground begins to give way under him as well. foxbounce and shellpond run off to try to find another quickclan patrol and get help, while poppybloom tells the others to stay with wisteriavine and keep her calm. she and cinderspots investigate the surrounding area and find a old fox set that leads to a tunnel. together, they decide to go in and help wisteriavine be dug out, and the three escape through to fox set. later, cyanstar announces that the clan should be wary of the area, as there's no knowing how far the tunnels might stretch or how dangerous it could be. separately, both crakesnap and dragonflywing consider the new information
