Having survived her first gathering, Laurelstar sat among the leaders with a little more confidence. At least she knew what to expect this time. The unknown tension in her clan seemed to at least not have followed her here. Still, there was a strange air to her group, as if everyone came with some sort of mission in mind.
Fernstep decided sitting through her first gathering as deputy wasn't the way to go. She needed to make an impression, on her clan, her leader, or other deputies, whatever it was she needed to show. Of course who she would approach was itself a bit a mystery. She had no one she was suggested to. As her luck would be though, she didn’t seem to worry about finding anyone, as she walked right into another Tom. “Oh my goodness, I’m sorry!”
"Ooo!" Dawnrush perked up at the others words, "Yes! that does make sense, I think we could ge that to work. Though I have a feeling our elder Brsuhfang wouldn't enjoy the thought." Dawn chuckled at the thought of the grumpy tom." Creamfoot joined in, but added, "You might be able to persuade him, you do seem to be one of the few he actually likes." Dawnrush chucked, and then sighed. "I just hope things go well for our queens. We've already lost one, and many of the kits we've had were found outside of the clan." She thought back to her own adopted children, just now entering adulthood. There mother had been her friend, for the short time she had been with the clan. So many never knew their mothers.
Gingerspring nodded at the toms words. "Clan life...well it wasn't in my cards at the time, but here I now!" Gingerspring tried her best to brush past her own past, mostly out of the desire to not have to think about it. "ah yes, I believe those are the very lights my clan was named after, though I am fairy new, so the clan history escapes me." Of course she wasn't going to mention that the cat who drew her to the clan had droned on to her about how fake the story sounded, he was convinced former leaders made it up to sound impressive. She wasn't sure herself.
"Ah so its not just me cursed this gathering" Brushfire said with a laugh, not ready to discount the interaction yet. "Last gathering, I happened upon a little forbidden cross clan romance, and was hopping to get a little update on it, but I haven't been able to find the two. Hopefully that doesn't mean bad new for the pair." He questioned if his last statement was to much of a risk, as he had no clue how loyal the cat infant of him as over the code.

Hearing Rosewillow speak and mention hos she liked his named, made the silver tabby tom shy in a different way. He ducked his head a bit, smiling as the calico molly spoke. "You're to kind Rosewillow... Thank you. Also who is this Silverpsirit you speak of? Are... are they apart of your clan?" Perwinklepaw asked curiously, tipping his head slightly as he spoke.

Willowreed embraced Cicelycloud as the all white molly approuched, a very loud rumbling erupting from her. "Thank the stars they never gave up on you. I knew you could do it. I just... I was just so worried." the molly meowed. Willowreed gave a small nod as Cicelycloud spoke more, an overwhelming feeling of pride washing over her. "I'm so proud of you Cicelycloud. I knew you could do it. It really is good to see you and know your thriving."

"Leaders can have kits, as our leader just had her second litter. As for our healers... I don't think so. Although no cat has even asked... I know its a bit sticky I suppose with kits in our clan. Our leader she well she forbids just about any forbidden kind of relationships. Especially outside clan relations. However there have been a few rare cases." Stintspeckle explained. Sensing that Swanflight was a bit embarrassed, the black ticked tabby gave the other cat a small comforting nudge. "It's okay I promise." he meowed, trying to reassure them.

Seeing Thistlepaw relax a bit more made the flame colored molly smile largely once more. She knew he would thrive well where ever he ended up, being happy he found a place he felt comfortable. "That's good to hear. As for our family you know mother, Mallowleaf, and Waxwing would be happy to know your doing well. I hope maybe another time you could maybe face them once again. You know maybe after you gained your confidence back and are able too." Strawberryseed meowed.
Crossbill dipped his head respectfully when Nightwing introduced himself. "My Clan splits the average population into Sparrows and Avocets. We have separate dens and patrol separately, but we both hunt and fight. The only difference is that Sparrows are males and Avocets are females. Perhaps Sparrows are more common to use brute force and strength while Avocets are more likely to use stealth and speed, but that falls to the distinction that the female cats are often thinner and carry muscle differently," he meowed. He knew that Sparrows were muscular, but muscle on an Avocet lended a hand to their speed and ability to use a larger cat's size against them. "It is a tradition that is as old as AviaryClan, and no cat is inclined to change it. On the topic of ShiningClan, that's a rather unusual name for a Clan. Is it always sunny in your territory?" he mused.
Aardwolf's Mane was confused by Foxhop's energy. She'd never met a cat with endless amounts of energy that could infect the ones around them. "They're not dangerous in the slightest. They're very flighty creatures, but they are incredibly intelligent to be able to break into the fortress that is a termite mound. It takes aardvarks the brute force of their huge claws, but an aardwolf uses their cunning," she chuckled. As he moved on to asking about her spy work, she chose to bite her tongue and reveal as little about her position as possible. "There's no need to apologize, young one," she meowed, biting her tongue as she realized he was likely older than her. She often felt as old as the sky from the level of wisdom she held in her position, and it often came back to bite her when she assumed a cat was younger than her. "It's my first Gathering too, and every cat deserves to be excited about such a thing. It's strange being around so many cats, but you have to know when to pull back on the questions. As it is, you seem to be doing a fine job with that," she meowed.

Hyenpaw had been switching between the topics of gatherings, and asking Pearpaw about her medical knowlodge since he was new to learning. Pearpaw knew what he was doing, trying to make a trade in information, trying to make her feel confident that she could teach him when he was knowledgeable himself, but it didn't make her less nervous herself. She was the first to notice the kit approaching them and immediately was nervous, and she silently pointed her tail to the approaching cat to get Hyenapaws attention. He turned his head, and upon noticing the kitten his ears perked up. "Well hello young one! I haven't met many kittens at gatherings, this must be am exciting day for you!" Pearpaw merely nodded next to him. She had no clue what the best move was with a potentially lost kitten, she wasn't quiet and adult herself. Still, she listened intently, knowing that at any point she might be pulled into the conversation at any moment, she knew it was always best to be prepared.
"Ah so its not just me cursed this gathering" Brushfire said with a laugh, not ready to discount the interaction yet. "Last gathering, I happened upon a little forbidden cross clan romance, and was hopping to get a little update on it, but I haven't been able to find the two. Richterstar's eyes widened, and he blinked away a mist of tears that quickly began to form. After the heartache surrounding his family, here was a seemingly healthy daughter standing right in front of him. It was everything he needed, and he smiled somberly. "I'm your father," he murmured quietly, the words rolling of his tongue as he digested what they meant. He knew that Deerdash was the mother of Conifèrescreech, but it was amazing to him that there was at least one more kit out there. "How many littermates to you have? Other than Conifèrescreech, of course," he purred, stumbling over his words slightly. He was nervous, nearly shaking, but he was excited to finally meet another of his numerous kits.
Faondapple smiled and reached out as Bramblinglight began to muddy her words and try to rephrase what she had said. "I get what you mean. I was around for Quickcough, but I was just a warrior apprentice at that time. I remember fearing for my life, and I would never willingly have put myself in Wolfwhiskers's position during that time. The stress wore him down to the point of breaking, as any terrible event like that would," she shuddered lightly. "I would never wish such kinds of things upon my own Clan, but sometimes I want a way to prove myself by saving the Clan from something terrible. The way you're feeling is completely normal, even if a cat may think you strange for it," she chuckled lightly. She remembered the mourning wails that filled the camp at all hours of the day during the quickcough outbreak, and she remembered not being allowed to leave Sweethen's sight in fear that she would catch the disease. Yet, she wanted to do something amazing with her paws. She wanted to save a life that might've been considered too far gone for saving. She wanted to prove to every cat that she was a worthwhile healer.
Rootwake shook her head sadly. She had lost contact with Eagle when the Neighborhood disbanded, but she had embraced her family with Lichenmurmur and Visontwist since then. Her heart warmed as Lycheewings spoke kind words about Lichenmurmur. "She never lets the little thing out of her site. She's taken to calling it Squeaks," she chuckled, ducking her head as she laughed at her sister. Only Lichenmurmur would be the one to try to hunt and mouse and ultimately make it a pet. Fondness for her sister made her heart swell with joy, and she turned her attention back to Lycheewings. "Family is one of the few things I hold dear to my heart. A cat who does not respect the ones they consider family worry me," she murmured. The way that some of her clanmates acted, keeping their noses in the air and avoiding the ones they love, make her feel like a family could fall apart at the drop of a leaf.
Tourbillonpelt nodded as Manateecall explained a few of the perks of splitting the Clan into multiple camps. If ChessClan continued growing at this rate, he might need to suggest such a thing to Richterstar. He quickly dismissed the thought, though, knowing that the cats of ChessClan are too close to ever be willing to separate into more than one camp. Family ties ran deep, and many of the first kits were now well into adulthood and raising their own families. "I don't think any cat could imagine themselves as a Clan cat before they become one," he murmured. The conversation continued without him as he lost himself in thought, wondering what life in SwiftClan could ever possibly be like. He finally came back to the present when Figspots asked Manateecall if he would ever consider becoming a leader or deputy. "I'd never be able to do it, with that many cats looking up to me. Your leader has to be stressed beyond belief," he murmured, a slight joke on the edge of his voice.
As Dustleaf spoke of pairs in her Clan, Tombecho smiled thoughtfully. When the molly wished good upon the Outback Runners, they dipped their head respectfully. "A family, led by their mother, joined us a few seasons ago. Wolverinedapple tries so hard to keep her kits together, and I can tell she's so terrified that our Clan will dissolve like their previous one did. Having to live with that constant worry would take me beyond where I could function," they murmured gently. Wolverinedapple was so strong, and yet Tombecho was able to see past their stony exterior and into their fear-filled heart.
Thistlepaw took a deep breath and nodded, holding himself steady so as not to flinch anytime he heard a full name. They had done what he couldn't, and he knew it would take him a long time until he was ready to embrace his past. He hadn't even shared his story with any cat in the Outback Runners, though most knew he carried a dark secret behind his quietness. Maybe one day he could open up and allow himself to grow past his history, but that day was not today. "Are things in IvyClan going well?" he asked. He knew that most Clans go through long spells of trouble, and he was worried about his former home. He would always care for the Clan, even if he can never go back. He slowly lifted his eyes until he managed to hold Strawberryseed's gaze for a few seconds, but he quickly let it fall again. He wanted to return home and tell a cat about his struggles, but he was just not that close to any cat yet. "I'm making friends," he lied, trying to hide the quiver in his voice. He felt terrible about lying to Strawberryseed, but he wanted to make it known that he was doing okay in his new home.

Ostrich's Cry chuckled lightly as Morninglight expressed her reluctance to pull Batpaw out of his rigorous training. Ostrich's Cry held no such qualms and knew she would always be willing to use her authority to take an apprentice for a sunrise or two of essential herb training. "I'm the only healer in my Clan, but we're a small enough Clan that we can survive with just me. I'm just wanting to share all of my knowledge before I'm considered too old to be of use," she chuckled. She cast a quick glance over her shoulder, wondering where Aardwolf's Mane had gotten off to. "You know how the young cats are, thinking you're old and out of date once you're eighty or so moons. I don't want to be considered the batty old healer," she rolled her eyes while stretching out one of her back legs. It gave a satisfying pop and she settled back into a comfortable sitting position.
Aardwolf's Mane was confused by Foxhop's energy. She'd never met a cat with endless amounts of energy that could infect the ones around them. "They're not dangerous in the slightest.
