For as long as any can remember, clans of wild cats have existed, and for as long as they have existed, there have always been loners, rogues, and kittypets looking to join them, hoping to find fellowship and safety in numbers.

However, many clans proved to be very selective when it came to who was allowed to join their ranks. Some cats were turned away based on their backgrounds, unusual appearances, identities, and beliefs. Others were accepted, but only if they agreed to conform to the clan's ways in whatever way they could.

Those who were rejected and didn't want to conform eventually decided that they'd had enough, and formed their own clan: WildClan, where all were welcome and could be wild and free.

Rules:

1. Just like the clan itself, this roleplay is meant to be a fairly lax one, similar to clan roleplays from the late 2000s to mid 2010s. This means that characters don't have to be 100% realistic. Cats with semi-unrealistic pelt colors, eye colors, names, different beliefs, backgrounds, identities and other traits are allowed and encouraged! However please don't go crazy. No OP/Mary-Sue characters, pink cats with wings or former BloodClan members with emo bangs. This roleplay is still meant to be taken seriously at the end of the day, just a bit more relaxed, so please do not create ridiculously over-the-top/joke characters.

2. This roleplay is intended to be a pretty active and fast-moving one, so keep that in mind when joining. I prefer if you post at least once weekly, and if you have a high-ranking character this is required. With that said, your posts don't have to be very long. You can keep them simple, short and sweet, or you can write several paragraphs if you want! Just make sure you write enough to give others something to work with and respond to.

3. No reservations, high-ranking positions are first come, first served. If you want a high rank, better get in there quick! Only one high rank per person.

4. No two living cats may have the same prefix, and no cat may have the Wild- prefix. Additionally try to keep your characters original, if part of yours is too similar to someone else's, it may have to be changed. This clan is meant to be full of different, unique cats after all.

5. Proper grammar and spelling please.

6. You can't be your own mate/crush or mentor/apprentice.

7. Please keep all forms and ooc conversation to the discussion thread.

8. You can make your own form, but it must include appearance, name, age, gender, rank, and any other additional info about your cat such as personality or history if it is relevant.

9. No NPC characters.

10. Although it may go against the spirit of the clan, I reserve the right to ask you to change anything about your character if I deem it to be too unrealistic, inappropriate, or otherwise unfit for the roleplay, and to add or make changes to these rules at any time as I see fit.

Name: Dragonstar

Personality/Background: Despite his clan's wild ways, Dragonstar has always been a very stern and code-abiding cat. Raised by traditionalist parents who were quite old when they had him, he was taught growing up that WildClan had once been a place of acceptance for those who were different, but that it was now "out of control" and "lawless" according to them. A kittypet had joined the clan, but continued visiting her old housefolk for food. The medicine cat had had a mate and kits. And the leader of the clan hadn't even had an apprentice before they assumed the position. Dragonstar, Dragonfang at the time, kept note of all these things, and traditional clan values were instilled in him by his parents from an early age. And now that he's leader, he's trying to reinstill those same values in the rest of the clan, bit by bit. He does his best to be gentle and kind despite his serious nature, but his large stature, gruff voice, and generally intimidating appearance don't always lead to the results he wants.

Personality/Background: Wolffeather is the exact opposite of his father, both in terms of appearance and personality. While he shares the same pelt color and eyes, the similarities stop there. He's a scrawny, short-furred tom who believes that much of the warrior code and traditional clan values are outdated, and that the cats of WildClan should be free to do whatever they want, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone. This has often led to tension between him and Dragonstar, not just because he's his father, but his leader as well. But that doesn't stop Wolffeather from doing what he wants. WildClan got its name for a reason, after all; they're wild cats, and wild cats do what they want.

Personality/Background: Peachflame is a passionate, fiery young warrior, in more ways than one. She loves serving her clan and joins as many patrols as she can, seemingly never growing tired. But despite how dutiful and energetic she is, she's also been known to get into trouble, and some suspect that the reason she keeps busy with so many patrols and clan duties is to keep herself out of trouble.

Personality/Background: When Hollypaw was born, her parents (now both deceased) named her after her fur, as dark and spiky as the leaves on a holly bush. Imagine their shock, then, when her eyes opened and turned out to be the same shade as holly berries. Her pitch-black pelt and bright red eyes is unsettling to some, which isn't helped by her quiet demeanor. Hollypaw doesn't speak unless spoken to, and when she does, she uses very few words. It's not clear whether she's shy, antisocial, or simply lost in thought, but whatever the case, she doesn't seem to have any friends, and her complete lack of display of emotions makes it extremely hard to get a read on her. Despite all of this, she doesn't seem to be a bad cat.

Basic Description: A dark brown ticked tabby tom with minimal white and yellow eyes.
When it comes to Hazelhollow, it's best to remember his three most prevalent traits. His honesty, resourcefulness, and critical nature are at the base of his personality in many ways. Hazelhollow rarely needs help from others - accepting it even less often - even now in his old age. However, he will offer his assistance to others, though not without a sigh or muttered comment. His brand of honesty isn't always the best, depending on the situation. He despises lies, but also dislikes "softening the blow" and as such is very blunt in the delivery of his honesty. Unfortunately, he's also quite critical, of both himself and of others. He holds his kin and himself to higher standards and can be quite cruel when others fail to meet his expectations. There are other facets to his personality, but these are the most notable.

Born as Haze to two now-deceased rogues, Haze and his two siblings, Reggie and Lillian came into the world in a rather vicious and harsh Leafbear. His parents weren't always around, often causing trouble for clan-cats out of pure spite. The three siblings were quite close, and when they were about eight moons old the trio ran into a young kit who had wandered out of camp, trapped in a fox trap. Between the three of them, they were able to save the kit, though he lost a large portion of his tail. Due to this heroic act, the three were allowed to join Wildclan. While his siblings became warrior apprentices, Haze, now Hazelpaw took the path of a medicine cat. Seasons later, his sister; Lilypond had a litter of three kits, Dawnkit, Duskkit, and Dunekit. His brother never took a mate, or had kits, and died just three moons after Lilyponds first litter became warriors. Lilypond died a few moons ago after falling into the river by the gorge. Hazelhollow began to retreat emotionally from the clan after his brother died, and is now even more emotionally not after Lilypond's death.

Basic Description: A slender creamy tabby she-cat with a lighter underside, blue eyes, and a short stubby tail.
No cat is perfect, nor are they wholly evil, but a shade of gray. Even the best of traits can be twisted and turned into something else. Let's start with Dawnpools more daring side. This particular she-cat has a tendency to jump into action, not really thinking before she jumps into an adventure. This isn't a particularly bad thing either. She's the first - or second - to volunteer to do things that are dangerous or just less than appealing to do. It may get her into trouble but she's always done so to protect her clan. Then there's her more possessive side, her feelings towards her littermates, family, and her clan, in general, go past the general protective, or even overprotective line. Tying into her considerable temper, Dawnpool has very few lines when it comes to keeping her littermates, family, and clan happy, whole, and safe. On the more neutral side, she's quite outspoken, not afraid to speak out against a clan-mate that's done wrong, or just announce her opinion in the middle of a clan meeting while someone else is still talking.

She was born to two warriors of wildclan, Barkfang, and Lilypond, next to her two siblings Duskit and Dunekit. She's lived a rather normal life, she looks back on her time as a kit happily and with a great amount of joy. Her time as an apprentice while tough was exciting and quite thrilling. For the most part, she's had a rather boring life, aside from the few adventures - chasing foxes, battling badgers, etc - that she's had. She does her best to keep a close relationship with her siblings, and with her only surviving uncle, but it doesn't always work out. Her mother's death a few moons ago affected her greatly and she's become quite a bit more short-tempered as of late.

Basic description: A small lilac and tortoiseshell chimera tom with a white chin and chest and teal eyes.
Birchthistle like everyone isn't a purely good or bad cat. While his occasional moments of paranoia can cause some problems and heat up tension, these - outwardly at least - are few and far between. These moments of paranoia mostly focus on the "Baddie of the day" or the idea that his mother or siblings are going to come after him. Because of this, the tom is quite alert and observant, which helps him make the odd insightful comments. It's his observant and alert nature that makes his more obvious and outward paranoid spiral so few. Birchthistle is also quite determined, he does his job well and will often work himself hard to accomplish something. Whether it be a new battle move, or hunting crouch, or just a patrol, or gaining a new rank, he's quite determined to do it.

Birchthistle didn't have the best start to life. His mother was a former kittypet turned loner, called Luna, while his father was a born and bred Wilclan cat, named Thistlepatch. His parents were many things, but they were good cats for the most part. Unfortunately, Luna had a need for normalcy. Anything that wasn't perfect or normal, wasn't something she liked. Due to Birchthistle's status as a chimera, he was not given the attention a kit needed. His mother practically threw him at his father the next time he came to visit after Thatch and his siblings were born. He hadn't even opened his eyes at that point and didn't know the truth until he was about seven moons old. This led to a great amount of resentment. That being said, he loved his father, who never judged him for his strange coat and took the name Birchthistle in his honor.

Basic Description: A lean light brown and white tabby cat with odd eyes and a dark forepaw.
After meeting Larkpaw it's easy to like or dislike the feline, due to their complex and rather strange nature. She has a tendency to ramble absentmindedly to fill any silence, whether it's about what she'd caught today or just the weather. They're quite poetic though and have a way with words, but are oddly slow sometimes, so it may take her a bit longer than others when it comes to some things. She knows herself well, and while she can be quite optimistic she can be very easily discouraged. While their tendency to get emotional can put a damper on things at times, she finds that it helps her empathize with their clan-mates. She's a fair cat, so she may occasionally offer assistance - later in life - to others. All this said, Larkpaw is the superstitious type, and can be quite jumpy at times due to this.

Larkpaw was born to Craneflight and Stagpelt. Larkpaw - then Lark-kit - has had a rather normal time as a kit, playing with den-mates, litter-mates, and siblings. While having a rather normal life as a kit, Lark-kit was always a bit strange, she loved scary stories, old wives tales, and other things of the sort. Many fed this eagerness for learning and story-telling, though it led to some of their oddities. Their tendency to ramble about these things hasn't made her the most popular cat in the apprentice's den, she jokes that at least it makes for an interesting conversation. If you can get a word in. Her mother died of sickness not even a moon after she'd become an apprentice and her father left just a moon ago, not being able to handle the death of his mate.
