Okay so imagine: After the chaos at Wano, a city inland collapsed due to the damage done. It went up in flames, the ground was destroyed, bringing buildings to the ground. Well. In that city, there was a treasure, a crystal, hidden away for years, since the Void Century occurred. When the city fell, for the first time in more than a hundred years, sunlight touched the crystal, activating a power nobody alive today knew existed.
When this power activates, it erases the memories of everyone who was on Wano Island at the time the building housing it burned down. (That way characters players don’t want to forget don’t have to lose their memories) Which leads to chaos and confusion. It strikes suddenly and intensely. They’ll have only basic information, they’ll know their own identity, MAYBE they’ll remember what they do for a living. Maybe they don’t. Marines may forget their duties, or pirates may forget they were ever pirates. Friends may become enemies, or enemies may become friends. New alliances may be formed, others torn apart. They must find and hide this crystal— without destroying it— in order to retrieve their memories. However, the trick is, very few people actually know this is the cause of it, much less where exactly the crystal is. After all…Wano is a pretty big country.
