Móraín | Advisor/Guard | Storm | Tagging: Grimjaws, Emersyn | Location: Camp
"Actually, I was hoping to talk to Shade about patrols too when I get the chance, and bring Grimjaws out with me tonight," Móraín admitted. She’d served this Pride since her birth, and she’d put 110% in, no matter how big or small a task was. She’d acted as an Advisor, a Guard, and as guard duty. How many times had she been the one to catch some youngster trying to sneak out at night? Karter had always been the worst, yet simultaneously the best. He never quit, but he had been crafty. He knew how to get out. Most of the time it just didn’t last long. As Advisor to their Chief, Móraín respected hierarchy and rules above all else. If said rules were broken, then the offender must be punished for it. If anyone could keep someone in line, it would be her.
Kassandra | Hunter | Earth | Tagging: Ada | Location: Camp
"There’s a dozen other cats you could talk to, or do some basic exercise around camp, help out in camp grounds if you’re really that bored. Or ask to tag along and watch a training session if there’s one taking place somewhere in or near camp," Kass pointed out. Yet another reason she couldn’t imagine being a Den-Mother, how restrictive it had to be as far as activity. She had to be moving constantly.
Kazill | Guard | Storm | Tagging: Linkk | Location: Camp
"Okay cool, I’m glad. Now, lift your head up, leadership rule #1: Look others in the eye when you speak with them, show you’re not afraid or intimidated. Or if you are, pretend that you’re not. Now let’s go chat with your ex boyfriend." A joke as it was, Kaz still regretted it the second the words left his mouth. He’d never been known for watching what he said, but that was uncalled for. He gently nuzzled his friend's shoulder. "Sorry, sorry. I didn’t…I’m sorry. That wasn’t necessary." He fixed his gaze on the ground. Anyone else, he wouldn’t have really cared this much with, but Linkk was sensitive, and Kaz knew it.
Karter | Guard | Storm | Tagging: Navii | Location: Camp
"You…do realize you’re not STUCK in camp and don’t need to sneak around, right? When you’re not den-tending, don’t they have you helping out as an All-Around or somethin'? It makes no logical sense whatsoever that you’d be allowed to just sit ‘round and do nothin' all day. And that’s comin' from someone who doesn’t think logically," Karter pointed out. "Besides, if you try to sneak around, Móraín is gonna catch on and find ya, and that’d be pretty nasty. She misses nothin' around here, I SWEAR it. I’ve been caught sneaking out at LEAST three times. Best advice: Don't even try." He shuddered.
Kade | Captain | Earth | Tagging: Tiny | Location: Camp
Somehow, Kade didn’t think so. "I don’t think she’d appoint Whisper. Not because he’s not fit for the job, but specifically because he’s her son and it could be easily seen as favouritism. Moonlight's always been cautious around things like that," he remembered. Kade didn’t really have any good guesses himself. He’d seen Moonlight friendly with her Pridemates, there were a few she could easily choose from. "And why not? What makes you think you’re not even worth consideration?" He wondered. "Our Chief analyzes everything she can, every aspect, good and bad, before she makes a choice. You’re not out of the running yet."
Moonlight | Chief | Earth | Tagging: Shiro, Jasper | Location: Forest
Moonlight purred with amusement. "Give them a scare, huh? I think I can do that. They’ll be astonished by my lack of hunting ability," she joked. She had more confidence in herself than THAT, but even so, it was true that in comparison to two cats trained specifically for hunting, she had a severe lack of skill in the department. Jasper and Shiro were both wonderful Hunters, she admired the both of them, truth be told. "I’ll do my best. Best of luck."
Shade | Lead Guard | Storm | Tagging: Emersyn, Móraín, Grimjaws | Location: Camp
Shade had been about to turn to wander off and find Katherine or Eclipse, but her attention was drawn back by business. Business and professionalism had to be taken care of first. So she nodded, about to speak when Móraín put her piece in. She would trust that. Móraín had been a Guard before she’d risen to Advisor, she still followed through with Guard duties, and she had no soft spots. If rules were broken, she had never been afraid to enforce them. Sometimes in a physical manner if need be. However, the fact that the Omega hadn’t been permitted out in so long on accompanied patrols was still a bit surprising. Yes, it was more limited as an Omega, but there had never been any restraints quite so bad that it allowed a cat's skills to go rusty. Time to get him back out there, supervised, but permitted to travel a bit beyond camp.
"Yes, I want him on a small patrol today, midafternoon, with Móraín and Rose to keep an eye and help guide him. Móraín has good judgement, if she thinks it’s safe for him to be out, I’ll trust that. Rose ought to be getting out too. Recently she does little more than walk around with her tail dragging in the dust. Móraín, report back however it goes, good or bad as it may be." Her dark blue eyes moved back to Emersyn. "Is this acceptable to you, Vice-Captain?"
Ryder | Guard | Storm | Tagging: Wilted | Location: Camp
There was some time before the evening patrol would be sent out. There was still time for a walk, and he’d be glad to get out, so Ryder nodded towards the front entrance, eager to slip away from the noise of camp. There would be time to congratulate the new high ranks later, when they weren’t surrounded by mobs of cats, clamouring to say congrats as was. "How about we go out by the east side? It’s pretty nice there. Maybe we can relax a little by the stream, away from all…this." He wasn’t sure what to call it, but it was just sheer noise. Business.
Hunter | Vice Captain | Earth | Tagging: Kuro, Crescent | Location: Camp -> Forest
"I think it makes sense," Hunter noted as they headed out into the forest. Good lord, it was high time their Chief would choose the new high ranks. She’d stalled for quite some time. Hunter couldn’t imagine, the worry of not only choosing the right cats, but of potentially causing grudges and frustration to be dredged up if someone who had been vying for the role wasn’t assigned to it. Admittedly, he himself had once upon a time hoped to climb the ranks, but he’d made it as far as Vice-Captain, and really, now that he was older, he saw that maaaaaybe he wasn’t the best cat for a rank any higher. He had leadership skills overall, as far as knowing what needed to be done, but his charisma and ability to command was lacking when it came to groups larger than 2-3 others. "Do you have any guesses as to who she might be looking at as potentials?"
Micah | Hunter | Earth | Tagging: Crystal | Location: Camp
Micah purred with half concealed laughter. So it hadn’t gone over how she had hoped it would. That was okay. "Oh calm down. I don’t demean anyone's life, I’m just trying to make light of the situation." She’d thought the sarcasm in her voice earlier would’ve said as much, but maybe it was more prominent in her head than out loud. "I don’t mean any harm by that, just teasing a little, and trust me, if someone actually thought about it that way, I’d gladly join you in eating ears," she put in.
