all newly joining cats, as well as anyone showing no symptoms of sickness, are sent to a large cave in the south-western edge of the clan's territory to remain safe from potentially catching this mystery disease. in her absence, littermates valentineveil and redswipe are named temporary seraphim for this new temporary clan camp.

✦satinstar gathers all of the high ranking cats to inform them of her only having 2 lives remaining. basilfloof, gooseglare, fernmist, bonnetpaw, and flybackpaw sit near the molly, while their healthy counterparts smogtongue, mambo magnolia, moraineslip, valentineveil, and redswipe sit at a distance in the fresh air as to prevent them from getting sick from the others. it is decided that satinstar is to be completely quarantined in the church's altar room, away from everyone else for her safety, with only the rit zien and grigori tending to her when needed and bringing her food. she will begin to communicate when needed through them or through a window, but no direct contact is to occur.
✦the meeting was about to end, when tiny little bonnetpaw's voice spoke up, gaining the attention of all 10 older cats on her. "i had a dream, but it felt like more than a dream. i was talking to flybackpaw about it, and he said it sort of sounded like a vision." with just those few words, every cat in the circle stiffened, all except for satinstar, who forced her shoulders to roll back and relax as she gave the small molly a kind smile and a gentle prodding to continue. "it was a black void of screams."

Visions and dreams of future events that would come true. Named after the celestial event he was born under, Eclipselight saw things. Things that he knew others didn’t. Eventually he learned to read these visions seemingly sent to him by the holy spirits above. Eclipselight’s visions would lead him to the Silver Expanse, a beautiful taiga he would call home, and the Sun Stone - a gorgeous orange-yellow gemstone taller than a twoleg and with a mystical nature to it. His first night sleeping under the Sun Stone he made contact with the Heavens - the force behind his mysterious foresight - and they gave Eclipselight a vivid dream of the future. Eclipselight and his kin would lead a great empire of cats to prosperity and success, under the guidance of the Heavens - but first, he would have to build it from the ground up.

𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓
The Eclipse Empire is a clan who makes their home in a boreal forest environment. Their common prey consists of songbirds, frogs, ermine, small fish, hares, and other birds. Common threats to the clan include lynx, foxes, badgers, and birds of prey. The Eclipse Empire warships - every member to a varying degree - The Heavens, a mysterious entity that guides the empire. Their sacred place where the king/queen and the prophet go to communicate with The Heavens is known as the Sun Stone.

The Eclipse Empire is founded by Eclipselight, a strict but good-natured tom.

King/Queen (King/Queen _______, no unique suffix, equivalent to leader, holds the nine lives) - The current ruler of the Eclipse Empire, a descendant of Eclipselight. The next king/queen is chosen from the pool of heirs - decided based on age and lineage.
Royal Consort (regular warriors naming scheme, equivalent to leader but only has one life) - Mate/partner to the current or former king/queen. May not become king/queen.
Heir (regular warriors naming scheme) - Cats related (directly or indirectly) to king/queen. These cats are next in line to become king/queen. To be officially recognized as a heir, cats must pass the advancement exam. Only heirs may become the next king/queen.
Prophet (regular warriors naming scheme, equivalent to medicine cat) - Cat gifted with ability to receive signs from the Heavens. Doctor to the empire.
Knight (regular warriors naming scheme, equivalent to deputy) - Cat who leads the commonfolk under the guidance of the king/queen. Organizes patrols and hunting parties. May not become king/queen.
Commonfolk (regular warriors naming scheme, equivalent to warrior) - Regular members of the empire.
Apprentice ("-paw") - A cat training to become a commonfolk. A kit becomes an apprentice at six moons of age and trains under a commonfolk (or higher). An apprentice must complete four successful training sessions and reach at least twelve moons of age to take the advancement exam. An apprentice training to become a prophet must complete five successful training sessions.
Kit ("-kit") - The youngest cats of the empire.
Retired (equivalent to elder) - The oldest and most experienced of the empire.

LEAFBARE || The days are cold. The nights are long. Snow falls periodically, coating the grass with a frosty sheen of ice. It is perhaps the hardest season, but many agree it to also be the most beautiful. Hungry predators prowl through the forests, greedy enough to attack fiercer opponents for the slightest chance at a measly scrap to eat. The levels of sickness rise to an almost unbearable point, and most agree on one thing. Life is hard.

Cats with an underlined name I would like to save from death rolls. Injuries are fine for all cats.

I haven't quite decided when this will happen, but Cloudfeather is evil. Eventually I would like rolls for "accidents" but not quite yet. I want to develop this more.

Fernstorm had taken Blizzardkit out of camp, accompanied by Icefrost and Autumnsong. The three queens wanted to spend some time together since the pair had found out they were expecting kits. With this being the twos first litter each, they wanted to get all the knowledge from Fernstorm. The sun peered through the tree tops, warming all of them. Fernstorm was watching Blizzardkit dash around in the snow when she smelled something familiar. it couldn't be? Could it? The queen thought. She opened her mouth to taste the air. It was! She scooped up Blizzardkit and ran toward the scent. She could hear the other two queens following behind her. There, in a snow pile, was her kit! She set Blizzardkit down and started licking Pumpkinkit. The other queens had puzzled looks on their faces.
"This is my lost kit! Pumpkinkit!" She explained.
Autumnsong stepped forward. "Let's get Pumpkinkit back to camp." She picked up Blizzardkit and led them all back safely to camp.

While all the joys of a returned kit happened, Cloudfeather slunk out of camp. He didn't want to be around all the bustling queens as they awed over the tiny kit. He told himself that wouldn't have happened if he were leader. The large warrior found a warm rock to lay upon. He flicked his tail in annoyance. He should be leader, he told himself. At the very least, deputy. The tom knew Oakstar had all nine lives still, so he could realistically shoot for deputy. But how? He wondered. Cloudfeather pondered for a few moments. "I need to seem like I am the most loyal cat in the clan, that way I can take my rightful place." He finally declared. With that, he stopped back to camp.

Spiderweb was easily accepted into the clan. The big tom took immediately to caring for the queens. He checked on themall every morning, afternoon, and night. He became like the broodmother of the bunch. Fernstorm insisted she could take care of herself but Spiderweb kept coming around, and eventually she stopped protesting. The tom would sit there for hour watching the small kits tumble around.
Even with the queens who didn't have kits yet, he was constantly watching. If Icefrost made even one sound of discomfort he was right there, trying to find out what was wrong. She would always shake her head and say it was simply the cold weather. Spiderweb would look down and declare that one day he would find a way to make the coldness go away. Icefrost liked his company best, right off the bat. With her mate being deputy, he was very busy and couldn't be with her all of the time.
Autumnsong didn't mind having him check on her either. She was far too busy with her tasks to worry about food. So, whenever he brought her a piece of fresh-kill, she was grateful.

Snowwing had noticed the fluffy tom helping out with the queens. She brought him a piece of fresh-kill and nodded over to where the warriors ate. Spiderweb blinked gratefully at the young warrior. The pair padded over and Snowwing lay with her paws tucked under her body. Spiderweb lay with his legs stretched out. "You deserve a break." Snowwing mewled.
Spiderweb shook his head with a smile, "No, no. I enjoy helping the queens!" He playfully protested.
"Still," Snowwing went on. "You can come hangout with me anytime you'd like. Maybe we can patrol together sometime." Her tail tip flicked.
