The friendly and playful, cuddly and sweet cute little boy made a small sound... The stubborn, hard headed, shy and sometimes nervous one wasn't so sure he liked it. He didn't know what to feel about Gale being shy to Aoi. He then shook his head a couple times. golden eyes looked to the other trainees. The white furred off white eared one nodded. "Yeah, you're fine, you can help us." Glancing to Gale, he said "Well, some cat has to do it...and even better if you have help."

The average height but slender light brown beauty nodded to the other female. She didn't want to upset her again. She wanted to say something, but didn't know what. "Well, you've got a lot of time and...as long as it's not a male you don't really have to worry. Though I guess some males might not want kits either," she said. She thought of Yukino again...then shook her head. "Will you...support me? Obviously I'm not asking you to help with the kits, since there's a den tender for that. Would you support me, though? As my friend, or whatever else" since now you know I have a crush on you...I don't know what to call us now. She ended up going from talking to thinking in one moment.

The sweet and gentle pretty little red thing yawned and shook her head. The shy and nervous brown patched one, with high white, said "No. No, it isn't anything private." The tabby (in the red) she cat laughed a bit. "I just want to talk and hang out. I don't know if there's anything for me to do today; no one has come to get me," she said.


Storm

The green eyed fluffy black she cat said "Alright, yeah, that's what I figured. I figured you meant he was a good cat, and not that Linkk had no chance." She glanced to the two again, then away. "Well...we'll just have to see what happens with them," she laughed.

The gentle, sweet, friendly, and playful slightly smaller and slender male looked at him. "I'm offering," he laughed, and moved a bit closer. He looked up at the bigger cat a moment. He then began to lick at the fur, grooming it back into place to be neat and tidy. That reminded him, he should probably groom himself. He should at least check himself, since he'd chased Navii earlier. That wouldn't exactly make him a mess. It might still have put some hairs out of place.

The happy go lucky but cold and cruel (when needed) handsome golden male yawned. Shaking his head, the slightly bigger semi fluffy golden male listened. He shook himself as he stood, shaking away...anything. He then made himself sit once more.

Gale nods, "I-I'm glad you both want to hep me" he says. He looks from Snowy to Aoi shyly. "Well, we should get started, these piles won't sort themselves" he says going to the pile of herbs and pulling out some and began sorting them. His little paws moved like a blur, trying to sort things as efficently as possible.

Rose

Rose ran to the edge of camp, hiding herself from the other cats. She didn’t want to harm her friends, and the best way to do that must be to stay away from them. Or at least that’s what she thought. She sniffles a little, “Stupid me. I’m the cause of my friend’s death. That must be what my nightmares are telling me” she says.

Wilted

Wilted nodded, a little bit sad that Ryder didn't believe he deserved a higher role but most of her admired his selflessness and how he wasn't greedy, trying to climb the ranks. "That's impressive, not just any-cat would do that, give up an opportunity to gain a higher rank" she says, giving a smile to him in admiration.

Morning

Morning walked through the forest next to the pride, just taking a morning stroll. He took precaution to make sure his tail didn’t drag on the ground, but just an inch off the ground.

They watched the meeting going on, she had little unsure feelings about Reimei's promotion. Especially as the captain, vice-captain positions were pretty much a center think which got her parents together. She was happy for her mother, but still, she did feel sad about it too, even if their father could be wanted for Reimei to live on.

He listened to his mentor there thoughtfully "are you ever wondered why does, not messenger has other duties than what we do?" he meowed suddenly. He looked over to his sister there "actually if we don't find anything better to do, we could always ask if Koumei needs any help? She is not allowed to get out without someone to accompany her right?" he meowed looking over to his mentor.

She turned to Monroe her so-called former vice-captain "thank you Monroe and congratulations to you too for being a captain now, I hope you and Emersyn work well as a team now when she is your vice-captain" she meowed to him with a purr. She gave him a smile but then took a more serious look "by the way Monroe? are you okay? I've seen that you're being seemed a little bit down recently" she meowed to him.

He was silent for now, looking elsewhere once again "well then I hope this meeting ends soon then, I can't wait to get out to do at least something" he responded. His eyes looked toward the chief there 'Shade huh? Lead guard shade...I see good for her...' he thought to himself as he looked around to see the guard.

He looked at his mentor with a long stare "So you made traps there to me to figure out where the good or bad things?" he meowed blinking his eyes "seriously? Okay...that's interesting..." he said with a smile.

She looked at Hunter as she did hear his latest words "You're not bothering me that way I do like you as a friend, and...maybe little more too, but that's means nothing...so don't worry about it" she meowed getting a silent for a while "just be yourself...what do you mean to avoid you? you maybe act like an idiot someday, but does we all...it's not a reason to avoid you" she meowed thoughtfully. She nodded to Crescent with a smile "cool, cool, we're ready to go then, I guess?" she meowed looking over at Crescent to Hunter "you're the vice-captain so...it's your call to say are we ready or not" she meowed looking at him.

She listened to both Jasper and Moonlight "Oh I see, then I guess I will wait to see who gets what rank on later...then" she meowed looking around the woods. She turned at Jasper "well we better slow down as those rabbit holes are not far anymore, we don't want them to meet us before we see them" she meowed with a laugh.

He looked at them both "sure I don't have anything better to do anyway, so excited or not, doing something is still better than doing nothing at all" he meowed. He eyed the herb pile there "so what do I bring were? or what do I do for those?" he asked curiously.

He sighed looking elsewhere "of course, we're going to do some guarding jobs..." he meowed rather uninterested. He flicked his ears at the she-cat's other words "actually now when you ask...can we after the guard patrol...do some battle training? I want to know how to fight better? actually, how to win a cat who is larger than me? maybe even how to win against a fox?" he meowed. He did know that a cat winning against a fox could be almost impossible especially alone.

She gave a small laugh "good for you, I don't really like frogs or lizards...it's not like there is much of those anyway" she meowed getting to the pile to choose something which could be bought for two. She took two small mice to bring back, dropping them to the hunter's paws "when I was a kitten, I remember it clearly when one of the hunters brought a dead snake to the pile...hah, everyone was so horrified that the snake needed to take away" she meowed suddenly.

Jasper wasn't willing to interrupt the conversation that was going on behind him, but he couldn't help but curiously tune in, just slightly. He couldn't help himself, really, not when the words were being tossed over his body. He hadn't forgotten about the big decisions Moonlight had to make, but at the same time, it hadn't ever been the first thing lingering on his mind. It would make sense if that was the reason why she had been stressed lately... hadn't Morning been helping? He'd naturally assumed the two of them did the plotting, but maybe he was mistaken. Whatever the case may be, surely that took a lot out of her.

"Well, hopefully this can take your mind off of it, just for a bit," he said to the Chief. "We won't be out too long." His green eyes shifted towards Shiro at her joking, and he teasingly flicked her ear in response. "That was my plan all along," he shot back playfully, even though as a hunter, she surely knew that indeed was not. Despite the joking, he did slow down quite a bit. Ears pricked, body in hunting mode, Jasper crouched low. He nodded his head to his left. "They're all there," he informed the two - or, more so Moonlight - in a hushed tone. "Watch and see if you see any action there." He tasted the air, then nodded slightly to himself. "Their scent is faint, but not stale. Some of them have definitely been here within the past day or so."

Immediately, Kali's head popped up, and her eyes began to skim around, looking for Aoi. She was unable to find Jeshi's trainee, though. Perhaps they were waiting until Moonlight returned; Kaliska had quickly been able to suspect the Chief had temporarily left the pride's campground. "That makes two of us," she joked slightly, shifting over to pat the ground beside her with her tail, indicating Jeshi should come and sit by her. "We were just chatting." There was no lie to that, either; that was exactly what she and L'Anda had been doing.

Based on the smoothness in L'Anda's tone, Kaliska suspected they too were friends. Although, L'Anda naturally spoke in a honey-sweet voice. Kaliska wasn't the most vocal herself, but out of the three, she had a feeling she was probably the loudest there. "So it seems our Chief has left for now," she continued, an odd but hopefully successful attempt to start up a conversation. She quickly eyed L'Anda, catching onto her laugh, and tilted her head curiously. However, given that she had brought something up, she decided not to speak of it quite yet. Perhaps Jeshi hadn't heard it, anyway. "Do you think it's something important? I don't think she's left once since I arrived here."

Bramble let his eyes carelessly linger on Kaz and Linkk nearby, watching as the two of them - or at least Linkk - somehow manage to tune out the fact that there was a very important meeting going on. He was evidently too wrapped up in the tomcat in front of him to acknowledge anything or anyone else around him. Hm. Interesting. He didn't poke at either of them, though; he knew at least Kaz would still be aware of what was happening up at the front.

He glanced back at Shiyu. "Our job is... special," he said, speaking that last word more slowly than the rest. "It's our job to observe the pride and report back to Bat, or now Reimei. We tell them about things we see in the pride, such as if there's conflict, or whatnot. And we are the only ones who are allowed on Earth Pride territory without causing harm, assuming we don't do anything stupid. And while we are allowed to do things like hunt and whatnot, sometimes I feel like it's forgotten about. You know? We're the messengers, the voices, and oftentimes, I think the cats forget we are still cats that had basic training in things like hunting. It sucks, it really does, how we have to approach others, but it is what it is." He forced a small purr, desperate to lighten the mood. "On the good note, at least we haven't had to say much to Earth Pride's Chief. That means we're relatively at peace with one another."

Bramble allowed his head to turn away from Shiyu when he mentioned Koumei, and he gave an eager nod of his head. "Great idea," he purred. "If she needs an extra set of paws or two, then we can certainly help her out. We can always see if Sparks would like to come along, too; as a Scout, it is his duty to keep an eye out. He might want to do a quick skim of the area. But we should wait until our Chief here is done. I believe that will be as soon as Shade accepts her role."

While Monroe didn't feel for a lot of cats, he was genuinely happy for Reimei. She deserved it, truly. He hadn't gotten to know her, really know her, until he had been promoted, and while he still felt like they weren't the closest, he definitely felt like he could be genuine with her. His happiness wasn't an act; he truly did feel an oddly large amount of pride within his chest.

"It's nice to have a friend alongside me," he agreed. "I am happy it's her, since Ryder and I don't really... talk. Although that was thoughtful of him, offering up the position." At first, Monty couldn't help but question why Ryder would do such a thing, as a higher position meant more authority and respect, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized he was in the exact same position. He had liked the attention at first, and he indeed did like having the ability to have final say over things, but at the same time, he liked a laid-back position. He didn't feel like himself, in a rank like what he had. It would only go up, surely. Unless he did something horrible. Or something horrible happened to him. Whichever came first.

"Do I?" he asked, shooting her a quizzing, perhaps a bit suspicious look. "Because I've been feeling just grand lately." It was sarcastic, a dramatic exaggeration. In truth, if Monty was looking down, he wasn't sure why. "Maybe I'm just tired."

At this point, Emersyn was stifling a yawn, the tip of her tail swishing impatiently. She couldn't help but sneak several glances towards the exit, her paws in a knead-like action as she waited around. She had never been good with meetings, since she was never involved and half the time, nobody ended up following the new rules anyway, and she was eager to taste the fresh forest air.

She was becoming painfully aware of the glances her way, and she couldn't help but squint her eyes a bit and shake her head, a silent way of telling them to mind their own business. She focused on Monroe, one of her few true friends in the pride, sending her a visible help me look. At that, she snickered slightly, then stood up.

She couldn't help but inch closer to the front, desperate to figure out why the meeting was on hold. Her eyes landed on Karter and Navii, catching them just as Navii swiftly turned away from the Guard. "Trouble in paradise?" she chirped, her tone audibly sarcastically sweet, as if she sympathized for them. The two of them, or at least Navii, who was a good friend of hers, would most likely know she wasn't actually being rude, but playful, in typical Emersyn fashion. "Poor darlings. Life can be so hard sometimes." By now, Navii was facing Karter again, closer than she was before, but Emersyn figured it would ruin the moment to bring that up. She took a seat nearby them, enough to listen in on their words if she so pleased, but also at the right location to tune into Bat's voice when he decided to continue the meeting.

It certainly caught her off guard when their Chief called out her name, despite her weariness with the glances that had been shot her way. Her ears pricked forward, eyes moon-wide as she stared at him, long enough to make it seem like she was calculating and double-checking to make sure she had indeed heard him correctly. "Oh." It was a mumble of surprise, and her bright eyes shot over to Ryder, evidently quizzingly watching him. Ryder and she weren't close; she barely knew anything about him. What had she done for this? Ryder seemed like someone who wanted a position like this, so why her? If you don't go now, he'll change his mind. Still taken aback, her voice was weirdly shaky as she responded: "Of course I will, Chief." She shuffled closer to him, but still eyed Ryder. Was this a trick? Was he willing to humiliate her in front of the whole pride? And yet again, did she deserve this? Bat said the name Ryder, not Emersyn. She supposed that meant she'd have to prove herself even more than she was trying to do now.

She listened to the announcements from afar, feeling a bit fearful. The lead guard position was still open... was she going to be chosen? Oh, she certainly hoped not! Lavender knew that she could never handle that type of responsibility. She let out the breath she didn't know she was holding when she heard Bat asking Shade if she'd like to be the lead guard.

She felt a sense of pride and admiration when she heard that Shade was to become the lead guard. Plus some other feelings... but what did those mean? Eclipse had tried to push them aside for so long, simply focusing on her tasks and responsibilities as a hunter. She needed nothing else, right? Her life was her position in the pride.

Are we doing any training today?" Melody chirped, not exactly being quiet as she padded to him. She settled down in a seated position beside him and curled her fluffy tail over her front paws.

"I’m always here for support. I’d be a kind of useless Pridemate and friend if I wasn’t," Kass pointed out with a quiet purr, trying to dissolve the tension hanging in the air, even if just by a little. She fluffed her fur up against the chilly breeze that blew through the air, chilling her. "As for a mate…one day, perhaps. Simply not immediately. I haven’t had enough time with anyone I’ve had feelings towards for anything to happen so quickly." That was true, Kass flitted between her Pridemates, never lingering in one place or with one cat too long, largely for fear of getting attached, but it had happened regardless.

"Thanks, Linkk. I can return the favour after if you want." Kaz quickly found that the gentle grooming was enough to soothe him, relax his mind and body alike. Impressive in a way, since he had a mind that wouldn’t quit running in circles. It focused him enough that he could shift his attention properly to the meeting to take in the information, while also loving the attention he was being given. Attention hog.

"Never said there was no chance, but y'know…I do worry a little. Linkk is such a gentle guy. Kaz is his total opposite in…pretty much every way. I worry they’d end up clashin' someday. Maybe by accident, but Kaz's got a shorter temper than me at the best of times, and that’s sayin' a lot." Karter shuddered. "If Linkk wants to go for it, that’s completely his call. I’d never have the guts to even try with someone so different from me, someone who shared no common ground aside from livin' in the same Pride." The brown tom shook his head, turning his gaze back to the meeting as Emersyn and Shade had stepped forward to receive their listed roles.

Ryder fell in next to Wilted again and took his old seat back contentedly. "I know." In fact, most cats wouldn’t. Even if they weren’t necessarily ambitious, most cats wouldn’t turn down an offer to serve a higher role, but Ryder was approaching midlife, and he was content just where he was. In his current position, he could serve from the sidelines, just the way he liked it. "But there are cats out there who deserve the role far more than I do. Cats who have worked harder, who have been more present. Cats who are youthful and full of spirit. I don’t mind surrendering the opportunity if it gives them a chance to really make something of themselves in their youth. I’ve already had my chances."

Shade quickly groomed back ruffled dark grey fur to groom herself enough to be presentable, then she stepped forward after Emersyn had finished speaking.
