Luckily, Honey(kit?) created a useful distraction. "Oh! Honeyki- Honey, calm down please. We didn't know how old you were, we just assumed." She paused, before introducing Frostbite "This is Frostbite, by the way, and I'm sure he didn't know your age." she purred at Sandkit's curious questions. Kits!

Ripplefield smiled at the other warrior, "Thank you Spiderwhisker, I hope you catch something good!" he said as he padded towards the camp's entrance. It felt like he had run through that opening more than enough times these few days, he never knew he could get tired of the bramble barrier. As he made small talk with Spiderwhisker, he halfheartedly tasted the air, not expecting to find anything, let alone the fresh scent of another cat. The golden warrior froze and whispered, "Spiderwhisker, do you smell that? There's the smell of a cat" he waited for Spiderwhisker's confirmation before going towards the scent, in a stalking position. He peeked through the leaves, and saw a... three-legged kittypet? No, her ribs showed and she was stalking something. No kittypet could be so experienced with hunting, most of her moves were extremely accurate. what should I do? he thought.

FallenRains

Blue eyes are glued to the medicine cat apprentice, Moonpaw. "Maybe he does," is answered quietly. "But I don't know what it is. If he has no name, which is quite likely, I'd call him... " His eyes fill with sorrow at the words he can barely say. "Sparrow or Rough - kit." SHE would have agreed. SHE would have chose a better name. "Ripple, like my mothers mother. Or...Maybe Storm, or First, like my father."

The words spoke, the warrior runs his tongue over the kit yet again. His baby. Nothing is going to harm him. Such sorrow clogs his throat, remembering his losses. His loneliness. "How is my son, Sandkit? And how are you Moonpaw?"

LightningStrike

He smiles again, rising from his nest with a nudge to their side. "Come on. Surely the Clan needs us." He purrs quietly, stretches and begins to head out of the den. The young Warrior ponders the feelings he is experiencing. Surely he couldn't be... in love? "Are you hungry, Cloudfur?" Is questioned, noting that the kill pile has a lone grasshopper on it. Who'd caught that?

HoneyKit

She knows she's tiny. "Mama said I was born moons ago, and should soon get to learn to hunt." Is said indignantly, but her firey bout is gone. "Probably like eight." She says, though she is the exact same size as Sandkit. "I'm small, but .. Mama said.." Was she believable? Probably not. A nervous glance is cast at the medicine cat - would they check her teeth to see her age?

Moss

It's. THIS. Close. Just a little further. A little closer.

The squirrel flicks it's fluffy tail and she freezes. Was she seen? But it goes back to scratching through the needles and dead leaves and she resumes her hunt - keeping low to the ground she moves just a little bit closer. Her stomach rumbles and again she freezes - but it's too late, rhe squirrel hurries for a tree and she leaps forward.

All she catches is a mouthful of fur.

The queen sighs, spitting out the reddish fur, and sits back on her haunches, panting. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Is muttered to her belly, head hung in defeat - wincing at the push of tiny paws against the injuries on her body. "I'm trying, I promise. I'm trying. " Unfortunately for her the wind is not in her favor, so she doesn't smell the other cats. Instead, she smells a mouse and begins to walk after the slightly stale scent.

Finding a clan, finding a home, could wait. She needs to find something to eat or her babies wouldn't make it. She wouldn't make it. As she walks - on her tip toes - her belly brushes the grass. It's clear she's expecting.

Cloudfur groaned and gently tapped the other with their tail before purring back at the other and getting up their joints popping and crackling.

"Surely you've done enough for the clan." Cloudfur hummed. "No i'm not hungry, but don't let me stop you."

Cloudfur chuckled at the grasshopper that made its way into the pile. "One of the kits must've caught it eager to hunt and prove themselves to the clan."

The warrior hums his agreement to the comment above the grasshopper. "You're probably right," he states, "and grasshoppers aren't very easy to catch to start with." He stretches again, his ears flicking, "I think I should probably wait to eat Cloudfur, there isn't much on the pile." Straightening up he adds, "I should go hunting. "

Strike is quiet a moment, knowing that the other probably thinks he works too much. "Do... do you want to come ?"

"First off, who are you and where are you from? What are you doing on our territory?" He had a confident posture, tail held high, but his claws were sheathed.

Cloudfur glanced at the pile; it was true that the pile had slim.pickings maybe they just hadn't hunted in a while? They shivered at the thought that something worse was happening.

Cloudfur stared at Strike for a moment.

"I would love to go hunting with you." They said quietly.

She's thin, too thin, despite her belly - but she shoots to her three paws (recently just three paws, as she stumbles a bit when she stands and turns and the injury is still fresh). Her warm heterochromia eyes turn on the warrior with trepidation, "I'm MossBlossom, Moss." She states, her low for a she-cats voice is soft and warm, remnicent of honey'd teaor oven fresh bread. "I.... I had to get away from the humans. Im not going back." She lifts her chin from its submissive tilt, then drops it again, (she's prideful, but not foolish.) Please, they kil--" her voice breaks with sorrow, "they killed Fang. They tried to kill my kits too." It's clear that the kits in her belly are what she cares for, not herself, as she doesn't even mention her own injuries, her hunger. "I'll go, just please don't attack us. Okay? My kits are due soon. I just want them safe. I'll go, you don't have to hurt us, but i wont go back to the places with the humans. "

And he's said something about doing something. What would she do? What could she do? "I will leave your territory. Your clan. I tried to go to AdderClan.. they are gone too. I'm just trying to find a new, safe home. A safe place" She has no claws, another human gift. "Please. Just tell me which way to go, I'll go. Don't hurt my kits. Please." Is begged, tired and hurting and so very scared. MossBlossom is ready to TRY to outrun him, and whomever is hidden and waiting for her to try something, but she would try - if only for the sake of her kits. Gentle as she is, she'd try to fight too, if she has to. "Just tell me which way to go, and I'll leave your territory." She winces, but otherwise gives no indication of her pain.

He hums a long note; the sound deep and warm. But, why is Cloudfur staring? The warrior shakes out his pelt a moment, "Why?" Is questioned before the words are fully formed sentences, "you're staring. "

Embarrassed, when he realizes what he's said and how the warrior flicks his ears. "I mean, why were you staring at me?" He casts another look at the kits, the medicine cat and then the prey pile before he starts walking without a response: it would come or it wouldn't. Is Cloudfur sure they want to come with him?

Honeykit

The tiny kit stares at Sandkit; "Well how old are you then?" She asks in mock affront. Kits never get to do anything! Out in the forest,... she could do things! The grown-ups wouldn't keep her in camp! She could explore! "Course I'm older, Mama was small like me." Of course, the kit is really only five moons, and her affront has more to do with wanting to not be small and young anymore... she wrinkles her nose, half sizing up the other kit. "I think you're bigger than me though. " Is said quietly, nodding to herself.

At LeafClouds' insistence that she calms down the kit looks at her, "Why?" Is asked in a small voice, "Why does everyone have strange names?"

Cloudfur blinked at Strike. "My bad. I hadn't realized I was staring. I didn't offend you did I?" They asked as they caught up with thr other tom.

Sandkit WAS around 6 moons old by now, he could be an apprentice! "yes Sandkit, if what Honey said is true, you two could be apprentices soon!" had it really been that long since she found Sandkit?

Instead of chasing her away, Ripllefield asked "Do you have a mate or a family you could go to? It seems difficult to hunt with your... disabilities." He took a step forward at her reply. "we have a kit that is not yet weaned, if you help us nurse it, perhaps we could allow you into the clan." offered the warrior. His posture faltered a bit, what about his own mate?
