catches x1 other birds and x1 songbird! Unfortunately,
Cherryfeather and Pinefur are both injured when a fox ambushes
the small patrol. Cherryfeather received a minor infection and
will need x1 marigold or 1 moon of rest, and Pinefur
received a scratch and will need x1 cobweb or 1 moon of
rest.

Family; Butterflynose gives birth to a single healthy kit!
They were colored by me on grey_hoodie's lines. They are
a shorthaired cream mackerel tabby with low white
(genetically solid, shows mackerel tabby). Their genotype
is XO-, BB, dd, aa, McMc, spsp, tata, CC, Wsw. Peonyflower
returns the burnet and chervil back to the herb store since
the birth had no complications.

Whiskered Away

Hunting; Northstar's patrol catches x1 scraps!
Nightfall gains an ache after being sent on two patrols, and
will need x1 borage or 1 moon of rest.

Patrolling; Northstar's patrol was uneventful due to
having to return to camp soon after leaving since Thornblaze
developed a cough due to patrolling twice, and he will need
x1 catmint and 2 moons of rest.

and x1 deathberry.

are a longhaired black ticked tabby with folded ears and

Hunting; Sunshine catches x1 fish!

Patrolling; Sunshine comes across the cat
again, and joins the tribe after she gives them the
bird. They are a shorthaired solid black-and-white
with yellow eyes. Their genotype is LL / BB / DD /
AA / McMc / Wsw. They were colored by jazz. on
H155's lines!

Requesting; Sunshine's request is granted!
The cat is a mediumhaired grey tabby with
high white spotting and aqua eyes. Their
genotype is Ll / Xo- / B- / dd / A- / Mc- /
spsp / tata / ii / C- / WsWs. They were
colored by HI55 on grey_hoodie's lines.

- Ravenus gives birth to a litter of three, with Imbe assisting. Ravenus is told the news of deafness, and doesn't believe it at first; but soon its clear that Sparrow can't hear her. Oakling, the new cat, tries too comfort her, but she snaps at him. She seems to be favoring Sparrow, leaving Nimbuswhorl and Eaglejazz a bit confused. Imbe asks why Ravenus named them that way, trying to comfort her.
Ravenus replies with that the father had two 'words' in his name, so Nimbus and Eagle were both named like that. Sparrow was named because the dad's first name was Hawk, but also because it'd be easier for her to understand. Imbe is surprised, but nods.
Pyrrhus is concerned that his kits may be deaf, talking to sick Animus about it. Animus, wisely for the first time, states that kits will be able to handle themselves no matter what. "Sparrow will think we are weird for hearing things. It will be normal for her, we don't need to act like this is something big."
The new fox worries Ravenus as she listens to Arno informing the clan about Breeza finding a fox scent. She growls at anybody trying to enter the den, which results in confusion on the outside. Soon though, Pyrrhus enters with a kit in maw. He states how he found the molly, who is iconically the same age as the other kits. She takes her in.

Outside of camp, Lilieae is mad at Antonius because Animus isn't training her for her final moon. Antonius blankly states that if she wants to, she can leave. She hesitates before growling and following Antonius to the training area. -

𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐞:
Butterflynose lay in the almost silent nursery with a sleeping kit at her belly, almost dozing off herself. She could hear songbirds calling outside, and distant chatter between cats, it all just felt peaceful. Her eyelids felt heavy and just as she let them meet she could suddenly hear frantic and panicked voices outside. Butterflynose glanced around and soon Ebonystar appeared at the nursery entrance with an unknown tom, who had a tiny ginger kit in his jaws. The tom placed the kit at his paws and then spoke “his name is Dahliakit.” The tom said, sounding out of breath. “Would you mind taking him in?” Ebonystar added. Butterflynose shot the tom a confused look but nodded and allowed him to place the kit with her daughter. They looked about the same age and the small kit started crying, but soon stopped after Butterflynose started grooming him. “Where is his mother?” She asked the two cats standing in front of her. “Our clan broke apart, I couldn’t find his mother, or his siblings, I hope you don’t mind.” The tom spoke “I’m Tumblepounce by the way.” Butterflynose nodded at him, half-smiling but still concerned about the new addition to her litter. Ebonystar quickly escorted the tom out, probably to question him and test him until she deemed it okay for him to officially join BilberryClan.

the winds of change take hold over highgarden, and there is a strange stillness in the air. solsticestand has a dream of mourning on a dark night, with one molly standing over the rest. she recognizes the blur of several highgarden cats' pelts, but there is a deep sadness in the clan, and there are fewer cats than are currently in the clan. when solsticestand wakes, she feels that highgarden is nearing the end of the fighting with the rogues, but she fears the cost that the end will demand from the clan. she leaves the herbalists' den to find dawn breaking and the early risers beginning to gather for patrols. solsticestand finds sweetheart and sparrowflutter bickering, but they stop when solsticestand approaches and ask her if she's alright, and she tells them to keep their eyes open. sparrowflutter and sweetheart share an awkward glance, but agree anyway, and the siblings share a nice moment of silence before they're dragged apart by their various duties

tawnyrose and bluetcrest share a moment, looking out on the early morning activites of highgarden and contemplate the very early days. before they can get too nostalgic, however, someone runs into camp with words of scenting rogues too close to the borders, and their moment is broken. highgarden is much different than it once was, and they face much harder hardships than they once did

the patrols meet silverscar and claystripe, who seem eager to find a new home to settle into. perhaps... a little too eager? but overall the clan seems happy to meet new additions, and someone comments that the extra paws will be needed with all of the kits expected to join them this moon. silverscar and claystripe share an interested glance, but it's chalked up to them being merely curious and interested in knowing more. besides, who doesn't love kits?

a glimpse into the nursery and all of the new kits as harrierglide and topazdawn name their kits. merlinsong helps the new parents out a bit, and softglow is eager to help him while ferretwhisker watches on. someone makes a comment about the third gen kits, how so many of the veteran/original members are becoming grandparents, and softglow snorts, thankful that his kits were merlinsong are still young, but tempestcreek reminds him that hawthornglow's kits are nearly ready to receive their full names, and the older members are caught in the moment, remembering when even tempestcreek was just a kit, let alone her older siblings. when softglow looks to merlinsong, the herbalist suddenly seems disconcerted, but the moment passes before softglow can say anything and goldenthistle muses that her own kit will barely have enough room to breathe in a few moons, and vervaincloud is glad that her own kits will be out of the nursery and she'll have the chance to pull her own weight in the clan

tawnyrose gathers the wardens along with her kits and several of the other senior-most members to discuss finally launching an attack on the rogues. tawnyrose pov as she looks at her dear friends, as she knows that the same thought is going through all of their heads: the battle will not be an easy one, and it is very likely that they will not all survive. ferretwhisker reminds them that they need to fight for the good of highgarden and for the future. she tells them that harrierglide named echokit after elkecho, who died so early in the fighting with the rogues, and she hopes that this will mark the end of the battle, so that echokit will not have to grow up like this. flickersky shares similar sentiments for tempestcreek's kits, and hurricanejaw remains quiet, as if remembering his own family who has been lost over the seasons.

the night before tawnyrose intends to lead her battle party against the rogues, the night is split by howls of terror and pain as the guards try their best to awaken their clanmates before the rogues descend. after moons of waiting and preparing, it seems highgarden was too slow to find their offense, and the rogues have finally taken the opportunity to attack with their full strength. the final battle has begun and highgarden's future rests in the balance as the clan cats fight for their lives

all newly joining cats, as well as anyone showing no symptoms of sickness, are sent to a large cave in the south-western edge of the clan's territory to remain safe from potentially catching this mystery disease. in her absence, littermates valentineveil and redswipe are named temporary seraphim for this new temporary clan camp.

✦fern & goose have horrible visions of the deceased cats being ripped out of heaven and thrown into what appears to be a black pit of nothingness. the two rit zien make the decision to keep this news from everyone to avoid causing a panic, specifically within the sick cats and their families.

✦ grieving families - tunatail's death - the death of her firstborn son was incredibly difficult for inkbread, especially since she was still mourning the loss of her sister, but thankfully her sister's mate frozenhowl was attempting to comfort her, as well as her surviving daughter pufferstrike. frozenhowl did his best to make sure that both mollies made it safely to islandclan to share the news with tunatail's father and other two siblings. the two mollies, and the one tom traveling with them, decided to stick around for a few moons, just to mourn.
✦ grieving families - hawkfrost & silkworm's deaths - as mambo magnolia is mourning over the body of her mate, her kits not even knowing of the passing of their father yet, her eldest kit butterflyswoop hears frantic calls for her name coming from the direction of one of the patrols had initially gone off in. the bengal molly quickly races to the edge of the clearing as the patrol bring in the body of her littermate silkworm, and the molly's wailing cry if enough to bring her little sister hornetgleam running to her side. she tries to comfort her older sister in knowing that she's not alone, she still has her, but all butterflyswoop can think of is how she is the last of her 4 littermates alive.
✦ grieving families - whimbrelface's death - ivorytower decides to take the news of the tom's death to his mate, which is her older brother. she had kept up with her brother about his secret forbidden mateship, and so she knew about when and where the two toms met up every few weeks. ivorytower felt her eyes sting with tears at the confused look on her brother's face as he appeared and spotted her instead of the black tabby tom he expected, and she quickly races for him, nuzzling her body into him as firmly as she can before her tiny voice whispers to dove; "he's gone, i'm sorry. the plague took him. he's with his littermates now."

✦ grieving families - nightsky's death - sagescorch was the only member of her family left to mourn the death of her mother, and so it was nearly impossible to console her. her father had died moons prior, as had her brother, and her mentor, and only recently had her mate passed from this same very plague. she began to isolate herself from everything and everyone at this time, refusing to talk to anyone about her feelings or grief. she did begin spending time with ivorytower frequently however, perhaps tolerating the other molly only because the white molly was selectively mute and didn't bother her with talking.
✦ grieving families - silkfeather's death - glacierlily had only still been getting over the loss of her only brother smokemask, when the news of her younger sister's death from the same plague reached her ears. she had no idea how to process this information, and while her friends insisted she was not well enough to travel to highgarden to see her mate at that moment, her three surviving kits did their best to comfort her in his place. gladiolusclaw, asterthought, and freesiagrin made sure to rotate their duties so that at least one of them was always with their mother and she was never alone.
✦ grieving families - swooptalon's death - when the news of his mate's death reaches his ears, floodsplash is in pure shock; he was sure that she was strong enough to get through this sickness, but apparently he was wrong. luckily, his daughter spurglow grew stronger this same moon, and her littermate hookfang was allowed to visit her, alongside their father floodsplash. the older tom was still mourning his mates passing, as were both of his kits, but the little family tried to cling to each other during this hard time; at least they still had each other.
✦ grieving families - sprinklrain's death - lilypaddrift's regaining her health was one positive that happened this moon, and her littermate frogspring was allowed to come visit her and keep her company for a few days. during this time unfortunately, their mother passed away, and while neither of the kits had very strong positive memories of/with their mother, they did mourn her in their own way, grateful that she at least would have their father and two other littermates to greet her in the afterlife.

--With more and more cats passing because of Darkfever, the clan grows fearful. Still, it seems the disease is quick to spread and hard to stop. Mockingbirdstar and Charstar consider halting all patrols for the moon, but the fear of attacks or lack of food outweighs the price of sickness, especially as it seems some cats are recovering.
--Charstar tries to feel pride at Heatherdust's warrior ceremony, but can't help the sinking feeling that he is losing his clan and he is helpless. Ivyshine consoles her mate, also worrying for her dad...
--Shrewpaw is new to the clan, growing close to Hawkpaw and Falconpaw; especially the latter, as she frets about behind in her training and failing so much. Shrewpaw confides about her fear of failure, determined to try her assessment again and again and succeed no matter what. The trio are quick friends.

season: leafbare / winter
snow lies in massive drifts over the territories. even the warmest areas feel the effects,
from frost killing vulnerable plants, to causing coughs to those who have experience too
much exposure. as prey and herbs have become scarce, there will also be fewer strangers
looking to explore the vast clan territories. queens may have a harder time kitting, so
medicine cats will need to be well-stocked and prepared for the following moons.

general notes:
• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries
• all images from replies are either made on lineart specifc for cac's purposes or are ftu from various free-to-use websites including unsplash and pixabay

TUNDRACLAN ▬ selkirks

hunting results
• magnoliablossom's patrol watched in amusement as salamanderflame challenged smokeyheart to a challenge to see who could catch a hare faster. the friendly competition lasted for majority of the patrol, the warriors grateful for the distraction fromt the biting cold air and, by the end of the day, both warriors caught a hare, so the patrol returned to camp with high spirits and x2 hares.
• during silksky's patrol, silksky climbed up a tree in an effort to catch a raven, while the rest of the patrol watched from down below and offered quiet cheers of encouragement. when silksky returned to join her clanmates, she had x1 common raven in her jaws and she added it to a pile with x1 stoat and x1 tundra vole. however, as they began to walk further, silksky let out a hiss of pain, complaining of something sharp in her paw. the patrol rerouted and returned to camp where wisteriaflight determined that silksky has a splinter from climbing the tree. unfortunately, it became infected and silksky will need x1 oak leaves, x1 marigold, and x1 moon of rest.
• hummingbirdflight's patrol had some trouble tracking down scent trails this moon, as it seems as if majority of the prey has been huddled into their dens for the cold weather. even still, smokescreen managed to catch x1 harlequin duck, though she did receive a scar for her hunting efforts.
• mr. j's patrol has a rather successful day as the group gathers their pile of x2 rock ptarmigans, x1 hare, x1 common raven, and x1 tundra shew. however, the trip was not without its fair share of hardships as vixengleam let a small cut go unspoken. by the time she asked the healers to take a look at it, the scratch had already become infected and will need x1 moon of rest. likewise, elmsway wrenched a claw that began to bleed, and she will also need x1 moon of rest.

border patrol results
• pouncewheat's patrl followed a scent trail, expecting to find a cat. instead, however, they found a neat pile of x9 pebbles ripe for the taking, as if someone passing through accidentally left behind their pebble stash. the patrol looked around to see if the owner was anywhere, but their efforts were fruitless and pouncewheat decided to take the pebbles back to camp.
• everything seemed rather quiet during lavapool's patrol, and the group was just about ready to turn back and return home until, suddenly, ratwhisker froze and said that she felt like she was being watched. immediately, the patrol gathered together in a defensive position, not about to take any risks. the rogues descended on the group soon enough, and the clan cats fought back viciously, warblercry's recent passing fresh in their minds. the flurry of attacks was enough to drive the rogues away, but several of the tundraclan warriors sustain injuries. lavapool fought at the front of the group and suffers from severe bleeding, which will require x1 cobwebs and x1 goldenrod as well as x2 moons of rest. meanwhile, caimanripple and magmacrawl received scratches that became infected. they will each need x1 moon of rest.
• crowcall and her patrol return back to camp with little to report. they reassure the leaders that the borders are secure, and duckleap nearly slipped on a patch of ice, but the rest of the patrol was rather peaceful.

herb hunting results
• while sootpelt and pyreash help swanflight, the warriors come across x1 stick and x1 foxglove, which they bring to swanflight with hopes of receiving praise from the medicine cat. swanflight thanks them for their help before sighing, knowing that the warriors were merely trying their best to help. swanflight also finds x1 cobweb and x1 goldenrod to bring back to camp.

training results
• babypaw passed the training session and learned agility. however, terrabite noticed that babypaw was starting to limp, and it seems that she got a cut on her paw pad, which gains an infection after walking on it too long. she will require x1 moon of rest to recover.
• unfortunately, sandstonepaw was a little nervous this moon, unable to bring himself up into the tree that they were practicing to climb. sandstonepaw failed and was unable to learn climbing this moon, but he can try again next moon after taking more time to work up his courage.
• all of the other apprentices pass and learn their respective skills.

assessment results
• unfortunately, blackberrypaw had some trouble concentrating this moon, perhaps too nervous about trying to please cockroachstar. so, by the end of the day, blackberrypaw failed her assessment, though cockroachstar reassures her that she can try again next moon.

mates & families
• emberleap learns that bloody mary is expecting his kits, and mary will arrive to drop them off in 2 moons' time.
• gingerbreadswirl gave birth to two healthy kits.

camp events
• in the dead of night, the guard watching over the camp raises an alarm as dark shadows begin to emerge, breaking through the camp's defenses. while the tundraclan cats struggle to wake up and meet their enemy, the rogues begin their attack, silencing the guard and meeting the warriors with bared teeth and sharp claws. by the time the warriors drive the rogues back out of the camp and into the dark of the night, it seems that tundraclan secured a victory without major loss. that is, until peachflower tries to account for the kits and finds that scorpionkit is missing. while the warriors fought the rogues, it seems that one of the rogues broke into the nursery, and the clan comes together to begin rebuilding their defenses, feeling gutted that scorpionkit was stolen right from under their paws.
• both anacondapath and carrotstalk are brought to the medicine cats' den this moon after their clanmates notice that they seem to be coming down with illnesses after going on too many patrols this moon. anacondapath has a cough, and she will need x1 tansy and x1 moon of rest. meanwhile, the medicine cats determine that carrotstalk has a fever, which will require x1 feverfew and x2 moons of rest to recover.

additional mod notes
• please be aware of the cats that you're putting on patrol and how many cats are on a patrol. magnoliablossom's patrol had 10 cats as opposed to your limit of 9, and there are several cats that have been put on patrol multiple times (crowcall was also put on the same patrol twice). if you don't want them to run the risk of getting sick, i'd recommend limiting the number of times they are sent out on patrol<3

For some, the first snows have arrived. For others, it is simply a chill in the air. regardless, all Clans will experience Leaf-bare as a harsh and unforgiving season. Queens and kits are more likely to die during birth, prey will flee from patrols, and loners are less likely to stray from their warm city homes. In addition, predators and sicknesses abound, waiting for the chance to pick off the weak. All in all, it is best for a Clan to be at full strength during this time.

She didn't know how to express that her kit was a full-grown messenger now, and that she recently gained her full name, so Fernmist settled on telling her that she'd go out and find her as she guided Icicletrot back to one of the sick dens. The sick cat didn't complain, content with Fernmist's reply, and stumbled back to her nest, several scoldings ready on her tongue to chide Harekit for sneaking away. She ended up dying in her sleep hours later...

The two brothers thanked their fellow Clanmate for the news and turned away to grieve silently, and if they paid more attention, they would've caught the scents of both Mouflonclimb and Whitespring on the breeze and the faint sound of their comforting purrs as they feebly tried to be there for their sons.
