the tension rises as the leaders become more and more strict, adding rules and changing the warrior code. everyone is on edge to say the least. some more so than others...
the medicine cats are particularly upset about the rule that has been added which states "no medicine cat shall heal another without the permission of the leader." they are also getting especially restless with the age old rule of medicine cats being unable to have mates. of course the other ranks are also affected by the rule of only permissioned healing as this means that they will not receive treatments to their ailments without the leaders permission, which also arises the possibility for the leader to completely veto the cats treatment. as leaf-bare draws near and disease more prominent the medicine cats grow restless and bitter towards the ones who continue to enact these rules.. they believe somehting must be done..

general
the expansion of their clans territory over the years has granted them a wonderfully large area of territory, that combined with the fact that no other clans have moved in near them means they have no need to do patrol of the entire territory and instead do weekly territory patrol and patrol a smaller portion of territory once a day. their territory is the entire expanse of an island that is fully surrounded by a beautifully blue lake, although part of the island extends to almost the shore of the land that surrounds the island making it possible for the cats to leave although they rarely ever do except on the rare occasions of a prophecy, but that hasn't happened in many many moons.
-camp
the camp of crater clan in near the center of the island atop the large hill that rises out of the middle of the island.
most of the dens are just burrows the cats dug out of the side of the mountain. they comfortably fit about 3 feet from each other, moss covers the bottom while sticks line the inside as support. all cats have their own assigned den aside from the nursery and medicine dens, although the medicine cats do have their own assigned den they keep the herbs and all other things related to their work in the designated medicine den. the nursery is three separate dens, the dens are about the size of two regular dens put together. normally there is about one queen and her kits in each den.
-hunting area
the cats normally hunt around the mountains area but on occasion treck down the mountain to hunt in an open field that the cats named "hollow woods" this area has few trees although the ones it does have are odd looking. they are not very tall and are barkless unlike most trees they see in the area. this field is quite lushious despite the odd trees and the cats have grown used to them now. it is a wonderful place to hunt if you don't mind the walk down to it
-other places
other notable places are the coast of the island, known for it's beautiful waves and sparkling sand. the nighttime forest, a dense forest of trees varying in sizes from bush to grandfather oak trees, it got it's name because it is dense, so dense in fact that it seems that time stands still in this forest, never ending darkness reigns. their is also a quite gargantuan crater after you reach the edge of nighttime forest. the cats rarely go here as it is barren with no brush or trees and serves them no purpose other than the fact that it does fill up during wet season.

indentation being an early riser lavenderpaw yawned as the sun beamed through the opening of her den. she noted the time of day and decided this would be a good time to be getting up and around. just a tad bit before the other cats.. she thought to herself and she stood and stretched before heading out of her den to go for a short run around the outside of the dens, being careful to avoid making loud noises as she padded around the other cats dens..

He walked out and to the prey pile, sniffing out a mouse which he took up and walking to a soft patch of dirt where he lay down and indulged his hunger. indentation Stepping out of his own den, the large tom let his gaze wander over his clan-mates, dark eyes narrowing for but a moment before returning to normal. Lionscar hummed to himself, mentally going over patrols. He glanced over at Bearstar then snorted, and turned his gaze over to his clan-mates. Maybe patrols can wait a few moments, at least until more cats are awake. the battle-scarred tom mused before padding over to the prey pile to grab a bite to eat. Lazily he picked out a hare, before padding over to a sunnier area so he could warm himself while he ate. Taking his time the tom slowly ate, taking a bite, chewing, swallowing, grooming his coat for a short while, before repeating the process.

indentation Blinking sleepily as she awoke, the ticked tabby she-cat paused as she realized there was a missing bundle of fur next to her. Holding back a panicked wail, the young she-cat practically awoke in an instant. Head snapping up and gaze flickering around her den, the feline let out a hiss of distress before carefully dislodging herself from her other kits. Taking note of who was still with her in the den and in the nest, she quickly realized it was Fallowkit that was missing. Which means no one is missing, Fallowkit's just trying to give me heart palpitations. Great Starclan. Nearly sighing in relief, the molly decided to double-check to make sure and poked her head out of her den. Quickly spotting the young kit, she felt her tense shoulders sag. Shaking her head as she turned away from the entrance, she returned to the nest she shared with her kits, and carefully curled back up around them. Despite this, she didn't fall back asleep, knowing she'd probably have to get up soon for her other kits anyways.

indentation It was easy to say that they hated, late-night patrols, though they adored late-night training. While they never really enjoyed the fact that they rarely got any sleep in those nights, or the stressed and bruised muscles. Fadedpaw thought of it as another pawstep closer to becoming a warrior. Though it's really not that big of a deal these days or that great due to Lionscar and Bearstar controlling everything. They mused with a tired frown as they got out of their nest. Blinking slowly the dilute feline padded out of their den and into camp. Copper eyes flickered around camp, face falling into a polite and calm mask. It didn't seem that many cats were up, and Fadedpaw was fine with that.

Thistlecoat awoke from his fitfull slumber thoughts and dreams heavy on his mind.

He felt bad for his assigned mate Blackstar; it wasn't fair to her that she was forced to be with him when he didn't like her or any molly for that matter, but Birchstone, oh how Starclan knows how much he wished his feelings towards Birchstone could be known; not that any of it mattered now.

Thistlecoat sighed as he got up. He might as well get to know his assigned mate.

"I hope she's nice at least. I don't want her to be mean." Thistlecoat mumbled.

He made his way to Blackheart's den stopping at the entrance.

"Blackheart? Are you up?" He called softly.

Thistlecoat wasn't sure if he wanted her to be up or not. He supposed he would have to tell her about their less than wanted ordeal.

"I-I need to talk to you. I have something to confess." He mewed softly.
