Something like a poly relationship, but his affection is for Dawn only and Lily would become okay with it as she can't provide pups for Dawn

That depends how far along she was before the skip, and the skip was only two weeks. Wolves and dogs are pregnant around two months, or eight weeks, so if she was only a month along, after the skip she'd have two weeks left to go, and it might be too early for her to give birth with two weeks left to go...since dogs are pregnant much shorter the an humans. A human having a baby one or two months early is too early I think, so for an animal maybe two weeks early is too early. I don't know, I tried Googling it and didn't get an answer...

It says Toy Fox terriers range from 3-9 pounds which...I don't believe, unless it means a newborn puppy is three pounds. Our terrier is 11 pounds...or was last time we weighed her. Which mom asked the vet about and he said she's fine at that weight.

haha usually if an animal gives birth two weeks ahead of its normal due time, the babies are either dead, super premies or something has gone terribly wrong with the animal. For dogs, they would need extreme special care and to be watched over 24/7 since being born even 8 days before the original birthing point would likely make them unable to even drink the milk from their mother without difficulties. And if a pup is born more than 10 days before the due date then there is a very small chance the pups will survive.

However, it is actually rare that an animal falls into early labor.
