The friendly and playful, cuddly and sweet cute little boy yawned. The stubborn, hard headed, shy and sometimes nervous one opened golden eyes. A pink nose sniffed a bit, and he patted the ground with pink padded paws. He then shook his head at himself. The white furred off white eared one stood up, white whiskers twitching. He went out to get food, wondering how Gale was doing.

The average height but slender light brown beauty made a small sound.... Green eyes seemed to widen as she looked at Winter. The white marked one said "Tell...tell them? I suppose I could tell Kass, but...what if she rejects me? I could go tell Shiro then, but again I'm not sure about her. I think i might like her, but I shouldn't say anything until I'm sure." That's how she saw it, anyway. If she told Shiro she liked her, and then it turned out it wasn't actually a crush, that could be awkward...

Navii began to de feather the bird. After all, cats didn't eat feathers, and in fact feathers could probably be bad for them.... The fluffy black she cat smiled and said "Thank you," to Karter. Green eyes glanced to Llinkk, then to Rose. She said "I'm just a den tender, so I'm no help in hunting. I probably could learn to hunt, but I'm needed here. In case any she cats get pregnant or give birth. I'm probably not actually allowed to learn to hunt, since I'm needed here,"

The gentle, sweet, friendly, and playful slightly smaller and slender male gave Rose a bird (if she didn't eat yet). The light brown male then turned blue eyes to Karter, and said "Birds...just birds," then laughed a bit and shook his head. "If you're hungry, I'm sure Navii wouldn't mind sharing. She's got the bigger bird after all," he said to the other male. He then sat and began to de feather his bird. "Oh, that'd be me then...I wonder if a hunting group will be organized," he said.

"Last I saw, Shade had gathered Kesteral and Katherine for a patrol a few minutes ago." If a cat could’ve smiled, Móraín would’ve, and as was, there was a sparkle of warmth in her gaze, and a light purr in her voice. "So that’s covered for the time being. This Pride is pretty self-sufficient."

Karter tilted his head to the side. "Den-Tenders get All-Around training too for when they’re not workin' in the nursery last I checked. At least, that’s what Winter says. After all, there’s not always den-mothers or kits, and a cat can’t just not do anythin' in the meantime," he pointed out.

"Only if you fall into a river," Kass joked. She shook her head. "No, you can’t freeze solid. You just may get very cold and need to be warmed up. That’s why it’s advisable not to be out in it too long," she warned. "You’ll be okay, don’t worry about it. I’m sure you’ll be alright, if you get sick or cold, Echo is a wonderful Healer who will nurse you back to health."

"But they can’t do anything if they don’t know, right? And even if they’re uncertain about you, don’t give up on them. Sometimes you just need to get to know them better. Look." The white she-cat nodded out the small door. "They’re both out there."

The white marked one wasn't going to tell Shiro until she was actually sure. She shook her head a couple times. She quickly finished her prey, then stood up and glanced to the other female. "Wish me luck?" she asked, giving Winter the choice. She wouldn't mind either way, but it might boost her confidence.

Navii dipped her head then raised it (cats can't shrug). The fluffy black she cat said "Well, I guess I could help then. Linkk is right to wonder though. Would some cat organize a hunting party, or are we supposed to just go out on our own?" she asked.

"I dunno. Usually that’s left to a Lead, but we don’t have Leads yet. My guess would be to talk to the Captain or Vice-Captain, since they’re in charge if the Leads're inactive." Karter settled himself on the damp, grassy ground more comfortably. "I'd lend ya a hand, but I’d probably scare all the prey away," he half joked. He wasn’t exactly known for being quiet. Not to mention being a bit clumsy at times.

Winter gently brushed her muzzle against Ada's shoulder. "Best of luck." She knew Kass could be intimidating, it seemed in the Huntress' nature, whether intentional or not, so she couldn’t blame Ada for her anxiety. "She’s talking with Gale and Echo now, but I’m sure she’d be fine to spare time for you if she cares." That would be a telltale sign. Never make time in your life for someone who wouldn’t make time for you, as far as Winter was concerned.

She wasn't sure, because maybe Kass was just too busy with the others. That didn't necessarily mean she didn't care to make time...right? The white marked one shook her head. She headed out of the nursery, able to still hear whatever answer Winter gave. She then headed to Kass, Gale, and Echo. She stopped a couple feet away. She took a couple deep breaths, then braced herself. Stepping forward, she asked "Kass, do you...have time to talk? I...have something to tell you," she said.

The green eyed fluffy black she cat nodded to Karter. She glanced to Rose and Linkk a moment, then back to Karter. "You...would not scare the prey away..." she muttered. Then again, she'd never seen him hunting, so what would she know? He was a guard, so he guarded...camp? She wondered if guards were allowed to go with hunters to guard them.

Amusement glimmered in Karter's pale eyes. "You don’t have to defend me. I’m just jokin' 'round," he promised, playfully bumping his head against Navii's shoulder. He hadn’t expected she’d leap to his defence against…himself. It was amusing in a way. Not that he was going to say that out loud for fear she’d get embarrassed. The last thing he wanted was to make a friend uncomfortable or awkward.

"If someone doesn’t make time for you, then they’re not worth the time you give to them. If someone cares about you, they’ll make space for you, it’s as simple as that. Kass has an odd way of expressing herself, but I’m sure she at the very least won’t be rude and turn her back." Winter knew little of the Huntress, but she was confident in that much, at least.

Kass reached forward to give the anxious Trainee's ear a lick. "I promise you won’t freeze solid. Whoever told you that is playing some sort of joke on you and trying to scare you," she promised. A new voice caught her ear. Ada, the only current den-mother at the moment. Was there something she needed? Shouldn’t that duty go to the Den-Tenders? The black cat nodded to the Healers. "Well, I won’t keep you. You two eat, before the food gets cold." She nudged the mice towards them and turned her gaze on Ada with thinly veiled curiosity. "Ah, Ada. Of course. What’s the matter?"

"Oh, nor do I! Folks are constantly on edge for fear that the slightest misunderstanding could launch us into chaos all over again, just like five years ago, and who could blame them?" Shade shook her head. It was unfortunate, really, but it was what it was, and that was that. It just meant they had to be careful and watch where they tread.

"Do you need anything else of me for the time being? I can gather the cats still remaining in camp so you can make the announcements, if you’d like," Móraín offered. "And please, Chief." She flicked her gaze towards the dwindling prey pile. "Don’t forget to take the chance to snatch up some prey this morning."

"Heh. Hopin' for some more time to chat?" Karter couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. Navii was one of the few he actually cared about…and yet he’d been neglecting his social life almost altogether in the recent weeks. Including her. "I promise I’ll fix that. Anyway, life's…meh. Pretty much the same as always. I was just tellin' Rose I’m worried about mom, but beyond that, not much's actually goin' on. You?"

Kass wasn’t sure what she had been expecting, but certainly not that. She blinked, standing there in silence for a long time as her brain tried to process that. "You…as in…" she already knew the 'as in', but she needed to hear it directly from Ada. It didn’t make sense. Kass was just about the worst possible cat to get a genuine crush on, with how much she teased and played. She doubted if she’d ever be able to commit to someone and give up her flirting and teasing. It wasn’t something she had ever really considered before. She’d never had to.

Ryder was more than a little surprised by the request. He would’ve thought she’d feel safe approaching her own Pridemate. If she didn’t though, then he’d be happy to be there with her. "Of course. Whatever you need. Do you want to bounce some wording off me, practice a bit before we go talk to Captain Reimei directly?" He suggested.

Storm pride

The pride's young healer was still learning to become what the pride needed. They were still young and they felt like it was not the right time to become a full healer, but the world said another way when their mentor died suddenly. They knew that the aged healer had some serious problems which were not being told in public, but they could never think that the dead come so soon and without any warnings.

The night felt like forever, he didn't get much sleep at all, instead, he just rolls around his nest almost the whole night wanting to get some sleep, before a few moments,s before the sun rose he fall asleep. He could not sleep for long as the voice of the other waking pride member woke him up, tired and tumbled for the restless night. He stood up even if his body wanted some more sleep, but his brains told him to get up, no matter how tired he was the pride needed him and he didn't want to be disappointed.

She gave the advisor a smile, then looked at the chief, feeling a little awkward as somehow she has missed the black tom there. She gave the tom a respectful bow on her head but didn't say anything as she didn't want to bother the advisor who was answering the question of the chief. She looked at them her ears flicking a little bit when her name was being mentioned 'wait what? me as a second?' she thought to herself.

He peeked out of the omegas den, hating to be there, but what could he do about that. He did the mistake and now is getting his punishment for that. His eyes narrowed as he looked at some of the guards there, any of them may take his place as a lead guard anytime soon, it sure made him angry. As an omega, he needs to start his hard work to get into the more suitable ranks again, maybe never getting into any of them any longer.

Earth pride

He left the trainees den, not seeing his mentor yet, but it didn't bother him that much, the day was just stated and they had plenty of time to do whatever. He made quick cleanups, before walking to wake up his friend Aoi the all-around trainee "hey sleepy head, woke up or your mentor will yell at you again" he called out poking the blue tom.

Yawning the black she-cat walked up to the den, blinking her eyes she looked around the camp to see who was up and who wasn't. Stretching she eyed the fresh-kill pile there, but there was not that many, which was nothing new at this early as likely only a few hunters were gone out for solo hunts.

She was being up for a while now, and just like almost every morning, she got out to do a small walk around the territory, but not too far. She managed to catch some early prey too and was on her way back to camp, who knows if she could be needed somewhere.

He was sleeping at his nest, curling like a ball to make himself warmer, slowly murmuring something when the voice and gentle touch was bothering his sleep. Narrowing his eyes open he looked up at his friend "you know...it's still early, I don't think my mentor is even awakened yet..." he said with a yawn.

She looked over to the hunter with a blink of her eyes "well...I am doing some wall repairs...if you could get me some small flat rocks, which could be easy to stack, branches, not too big, but easy to break...then some moss, or fern, if you can find?" she asked her. She then smiled "of course, you don't need to go running around the pride territory to get them, I've had some into that den over there, except for the rocks and branches..." she meowed flicking her tail over one of the small dens there, which was not lived by any other pride cats.

"I gotcha!" Micah darted over to the stack of supplies. They’d need to replenish soon, with the cold season most often being cruel and harsh to them. However, it should be enough for now. The supplies didn’t taste the most pleasant when she picked them up in her jaw to carry them over, but it was what it was. She dropped them next to Crystal. "I’ll go look for the rocks and branches for ya now. Anything I should know about it before I head off?"
