Stone ran fast and as far as she can, not bothering to look back to see if the dog had followed her, it had gotten both of her sisters when he raided their home and she slipped away while he went after her brother. While Stone was running she tried to clear her head, when she did the molly had remembered about a clan her neighbours slightly older litter had told a story about. Stone took this story, unaware that it could not be true, and tried to remember the way through the forest; just like the cats told her.

Eventually, when Stone realised that she didn’t know where her brother was or even where she was and had finally be ready to admit defeat. Stone decided to hide in crevice inside some burnt tree's she spotted just ahead of her, she could smell a slight cat-like scent around her but just shrugged it off unware they were at the entrance to what would become her future. Stone had never planned to fall asleep, all she could think about was finding her litter mate, but with a slow breath her eyes slowly closed, sending her into a deep sleep, her chest slowly rising and falling.

She looked to the camp clearing "I am not sure being a warrior...I feel like I can't do anything to help the clan...I have no clue what I am even supposed to do now" she meowed with a sight.

She listened to the warrior, with a nod "well, yeah I actually could love to see some huntings skills? as a warrior I am now, that thinks the clan wants me to do so I can't fail them" she responded looking over to her son, who seemed to be one the same line with her.

It wasn't that he thought he didn't have the knowledge for the job, more so that he was worried he wouldn't be able to properly communicate it to his apprentice. He'd only ever trained himself. shacking out his thick pelt the large dark gray and white tabby tom pushed into the camp clearing, a few mice dangling from his maw as he entered the clan. depositing the fresh kill he scanned the clearing with his droopy orange gaze until the fell on the form of a smaller dark gray and white tabby, smiling faintly he approached the small feline "hey Lakestep, what are you up too?" he questioned as he settled next to his sister.

hearing her brother's smooth voice she looked up to the large tom and smiled shyly "oh hello Rivercloud" she greeted warmly "oh, I was just about to check on the Queens and see if they need any fresh moss" Lakestep replied, motioning to the clump of fresh moss she had recently collected.

"I wouldn't be here if I hadn't wanted to do this," the silvery tom confirmed, his expression gentle as it became clear to him how Sycamoreflower was feeling herself, "you're hardly alone in the feeling, however." He shifted slightly to be beside her, looking out over the clearing. "Most of us, I think, don't really know what we're doing just yet. I may have chosen this role, but I'm still finding my footing, and I can promise you that at least some of the newly appointed mentors are finding themselves on uneven ground now that they have to train others while still figuring out what their role as warriors really means. This is all very new, just give it time and I'm sure you'll figure it out alongside everyone else. None of us are alone now, after all."

The tom led his new apprentice out of the camp, pausing outside the entrance for a heartbeat to decide where to take her before finally leading her just far enough away that they're be unlikely to bother anyone still in the camp. "Alright, show me your hunting crouch," he mewed, sitting as he did so with his tail curled loosely around his paws.

"A good idea!" Amberpaw would like to know more about the territory, and she kept pace with her mentor as they headed toward the leader and... she didn't know that apprentice's name, there were a lot of names to learn, but she knew she didn't like him. Everything she'd seen from him so far made it seem like he had a terrible attitude. "He wasn't asking your permission," she mumbled under her breath when the apprentice answer instead of Bravestar -- who Brackenstrike was very clearly speaking to instead. What was his deal?

Suddenly, the long-furred feline broke off, her head whipping towards a clump of bracken as they left camp. Her jaws were open. "Is that...kit-scent, Greyoak?" Curiously, she padded towards it and pushed her nose into the grass. She pulled back in surprise. "Greyoak - there's a kit sleeping over here!" Honeymask dipped one white paw into the grass to poke the gray-and-white kit to try and wake it. "Hello?"

At once, the dark tabby's fur began to bristle. Talk of the camp was that their new apprentice Flypaw was...unmanageable, to say the least. Brackenstrike allowed himself an angry tail lash before he steeled himself enough to talk. "It's Bravestar's decision," he mewed in a measured tone. "She makes the decisions here - and besides, Shadowpaw is busy with what Antfoot has in store for him." He moved defensively in front of Amberpaw - he wasn't going to let this brat of an apprentice lay a paw on her.

A frown dawned the apprentice's muzzle. What I've...been working on? Shadowpaw's ears drooped in shame. "Well...I
don't know much," he admitted, head down. "I only know what Brackenstrike has taught me, which is mostly how to hunt. I only know very basic stuff - stuff to keep me alive." The silver cat shuffled his paws nervouly, hoping he wouldn't be too much of a
disappointment to Antfoot.

BlackHeart let out a soft giggle, her tail flicking back and forth in amusement, she enjoyed this toms company. "Well that's a good skill to have for sure." She said with a warm tone. BlackHeart seemed to be a very friendly and warm-hearted she-cat, very gentle in nature.
"I must say that my talent is hunting. My brother always said I could catch anything." She mused.

The ginger male flicked his long fluffed out tail, his orange eyes following the cats gaze to his sibling. "Well, at least you came with someone. Having another set of eyes is always helpful." He said and flicked his ears while watching his old companions go off and do their own things. LionFeather was monotone, but very protective and comforting in his demeanor. Like he was an old friend anyone could talk to. "I hope this whole clan thing works out." He muttered.

xxxxxHe tipped his head to the side a little as he listened intently to the apprentice. " Hmm... I see. So you really don't know that much." Antfoot meowed matter-of-factly. Although his words might have come off as a bit offensive, he really didn't mean any harm by them. " Well, I didn't expect you to be trained already. Otherwise, what would be the point of a mentor? " The small chocolate tom flicked his tail playfully over Shadowpaw's nose. " We should start by having you show me those hunting basics, then after it would probably be best to introduce fighting basics. That way you have a foundation for the two most important aspects of your training. " Antfoot's gaze wasn't fixed on the younger cat as he spoke, but rather off into the distance. His explanation seemed to be as much for himself as it was for Shadowpaw.

Flypaw narrowed his eyes angrily at Brackenstrike, but he seemed to take a hint and didn't press any further. "Let's move it already, then," he hissed, stalking past Bravestar and out of camp, not waiting to see if the others followed.

"Bravestar has been the one teaching most of us about the clan's ways," Firewater responded. "I was already a pretty skilled hunter and fighter before I joined--you kind of have to learn those skills if you're going to survive on your own. But I suppose clan training has sharpened them, you could say." He rose to his paws and gave each leg a good stretch before continuing. "So, if you two are ready, I'd be happy to show you some of what I know. We can start with hunting moves, and move on to battle ones later on."

Moonshine - 12 moons - She-cat - Tags: Pineblossom

Moonshine's eyes softened with pity as Pineblossom went on. She knew there probably wasn't much she could say that would comfort the she-cat...but she would try. She was in a similar position, after all, so she had an idea how the queen was feeling. "Well, I know I'm no more experienced in motherhood than you, but...maybe I could help you out when your kits come." She knew she would be busy enough with her own kits, but at the same time she and Pineblossom were likely going to be raising their kits together anyway, so why not offer to help when she could? "And besides, we have the help of Bravestar's clan now, too," she added, echoing Pineblossom's thoughts. "I'm sure they could help us out, if we need it."
