Halfmoon - leader - 53 moons - female - tags; squirrelflash [evergreen park]
Grateful for the open invitation, the grey molly shifted closer to settle in beside her new companion, tail curling neatly over her small paws as she grew more comfortable. It always took a moment for Halfmoon to ease into a conversation and begin to feel comfortable, but the moment the russet molly began to speak she knew there would be no trouble in the two getting along quite quickly. At the other’s words Halfmoon’s grey eyes darted over to the idle leaders, her head tilting ever so slightly as she studied the quieter felines with newfound curiosity, unable to hide the amused twitch of her whiskers. ”Oh stars I would hope they’re a bunch more friendly than it seems from here, I couldn’t do a very good job leading my clan if I were quite so stoic”, the soft laughter ringing with the molly’s words showed she hadn’t quite meant what she said, but wasn’t one to pass up the opportunity for some shared mischief. The usual warm smile graced her fine features again as Squirrelflash introduced herself, curiosity peaking as it so often did at the mention of unknown clans. ”Im Halfmoon, leader of Moonclan, it’s a pleasure to meet you Squirrelflash. As boring as it always seems to sound; how have you been holding up these past changing seasons?” Halfmoon found herself genuinely curious to learn more of the red molly’s group, having learnt so long ago from Mountainstar how pivotal it was to learn from the stories of other leaders.
Blizzardstorm - deputy - 50 moons - male - tags; tanglestep [aspenclan]
As predicated by his leader, the white tom's mind had been drifting back to his family left at the caves during their trek down from the mountains. Honestly he couldn't help it; since the sudden loss of two of his kits, and the departure of another, he couldn't stop from fretting over his daughter & mate, despite knowing Peachstrike would very quickly bat him over the ears for his worries. Finally forcing his focus back on the gathering around him at the teasing from Halfmoon the deputy gave a huff in response, the natural grin returning to his broad features at the irony of the molly telling him not to fret, as if Blizzardstorm wasn't aware her own mind had been focused elsewhere only moments prior. Allowing her to nudge him to the side, the large tom sighed quietly as he headed towards the growing group of deputies some pawsteps ahead, he was sure Halfmoon must have still felt just as out-of-place among other strangers of the same rank seeing as he continuously needed the reminder he was in fact deputy now, and had been for a number of moons. Before his scrambled mind could return to what could be happening back at home, Blizzardstorm seated his large frame nearest to a dark pelted tabby seemingly around the same age, his fluffy tail coming to rest neatly over his paws as he turned his focus to a new possible companion. "The journey here treated you well, ..."? The deputy trailed off quietly, hoping for the tom to supply his name.
Snowpetal - healer - 35 moons - female - tags; amberpool [coldclan]
It felt slightly strange for Snowpetal to be leading a younger member of her family to the gathering, despite the fact she was absolutely sure her nephew could manage on his own and look after his apprentice without trouble, she also wasn't about to let her sister down. The thought of the older molly still brought a pang of grief despite the moons that have since passed, and if she were honest there were times she looked at Flakestone and remembered the pain of losing her own mother just as young, as if reminding her of her sister wasn't enough. Oh stars that sounds awful! Burning with the regret at thinking of her own nephew in such a way Snowpetal was quick to turn her mind elsewhere, like to the gathering, of course! The white healer felt a lot more confident in her role compared to the last few gatherings she had attended, feeling as though she no longer wished for the guidance of her mentor to get her through certain conversations and the awkwardness of meeting other healers for the first time. Unable to help puffing her chest just slightly, her pale green eyes were quick to find a friendly-seeming companion among the other gathered healers and began to head towards the ginger and white molly with a warm smile. "Hi, I don't think we've met before, I'm Snowpetal".
Magnoliamask - warrior - 36 moons - female - tags; open
Smokewhisker - warrior - 48 moons - male - tags; autumngiggle [outback runners]
Having rather enjoyed the quiet walk all the way from the caves, with the warm companionship of Magnoliamask at his side, stepping into the loud and bustling clearing had very quickly drawn the large tom to the outskirts. Despite the beckoning of the beautiful molly whom had become a dear friend over the past few moons, the older tom sought the companionship of the more quiet crowd on the edges of the gathering, or perhaps even just a spot in a rare ray of warm sun to rest until Halfmoon decided it was time to trek back home. There were still some fleeting moments where Smokewhisker remembered his time as leader of his own clan what seemed an entire lifetime ago, though the peace of being able to seclude himself from the endless chattering was a very welcomed part of his new life. Finding himself a place to sit amongst a scarce group of equally quiet strangers, the grey tom settled in comfortably as his one eye flickered about in search of Magnoliamask's familiar pelt. After a few moments the warrior gave a small sigh of defeat as the strain began to give a dull ache behind his left eye, his head lowering to instead focus on the soil beneath his paws as he waited for the mild pain to ease. Once he lifted his head again Smokewhisker was surprised to find a molly not too far from where he'd been sitting, and once his slightly blurry vision cleared the warrior cleared his throat softly before giving a small smile in her direction as way of greeting. "Not the biggest fan of large groups"?
Applefall - hunter - 27 moons - female - tags; rosethorn [aspenclan]
The hunter's gaze had been straying to her young to-be the entire walk down to the gathering spot, nerves bubbling within her chest at the thought of being responsible for the molly and needing to return her home perfectly unscathed & happy to quiet the fretting of Goldenswoop. As much as she respected the older hunter, Applefall had forgotten how worrisome mothers could get once their kits were out of sight. The fleeting thought was quick to bring the familiar pang of loss rattling against her ribs, had it really been so long since she'd lost her own mother? How scary. Applefall would surely rather her sister claw her ears off than forget the coddling of her parents oh so many moons ago. It was rather easy to have her mind at ease once they stepped into the busy clearing, multitudes of voices filling any silences and strangers slowly filling any empty spaces among the many groups seated around the large space. It didn't take too long for the hunter to find herself nearing a younger looking calico, a companion she hoped was as kind as she appeared. "Hi, is it alright if I sit beside you?" Applefall dipped her head quickly in greeting as she scooted closer to the molly, finding she had become a lot shyer around strangers compared to her rather boisterous behavior back home.
Flakestone - hunter - 29 moons - male - tags; open
Cometpaw - hunter-to-be - 6 moons - male - tags; open
Guppypaw - hunter-to-be - 6 moons - female - tags; sunpaw [outback runners]
Despite being aware of her mentor's watchful gaze filled with mild worry, the young hunter-to-be was much too focused on her shared excitement with Cometpaw at attending their first gathering! It was a wonder how the young molly didn't trip over her excited paws as she bounced with each step, tail high and a bright grin having been a permanent fixture since their departure from the caves. Though it felt strange not to be walking beside Mackerelpaw, she had at least been able to tease her brother endlessly before they left, sticking out her tongue and everything! It wasn't often she got to have the upper-paw between the two of them. Walking into the gathering felt all at once magical and suddenly frightening, she hadn't ever thought there could be so many more clans outside their mountain home, let alone with so many members! Oh she'd be sure to tell the rest of the to-bes about the sea of differing pelts and rise of voices filling the large clearing. Maybe even Foxtrot would listen and turn it into one of his famous stories! "Oh stars"! Guppypaw could barely contain her surprised shriek as she tumbled over her own paws, sending up a small cloud of dust around her before rising slowly again, her pelt burning in embarrassment.. well that's certainly being left out of the story. Giving her head a quick shake to rid her nose of the dust, she lifted her gaze to another young to-be only a pawstep or so away from where she had fallen, and with a quick embarrassed smile the young molly approached. "I don't suppose you saw all that.. right? ahh I'm Guppypaw, a to-be of Moonclan, nice to meet you anyhow", a polite dip of her head followed her rather rushed words.
