                      NATHAN EXPLOSION.
          

          he stared down at murderface, squinting. "..did you shower." he asked, already knowing the answer was no. he ended up just dropping the subject, knowing murderface didn't have time to shower. "just. let's go sit down, c'mon." he said, turning and walking towards the living room, plopping down on the couch.
                    "alright, when they come, all you do is be polite and greet them.." he said, drilling the 'polite' factor into murderface's head. "don't be rude." he added, leaning back into the couch.
          the two sat there for a moment, before they heard the front doors opening. klokateer's had escorted a couple of men into the living room. they all.. looked like they were nathan's friends. corpse paint, black, long hair, death metal themed clothes.. one was even holding his own bass guitar, presumably to try and impress murderface.
                    they all waved at murderface, and nathan called off the klokateer's. he grinned, looking at murderface, waiting for him to greet the men.

murderface is a bit taken aback; nathan's friends are cute.
REALLY cool. "um. hey, guys." he takes in their appearance,
trying not to blush. he spots one of their bass guitars, and he leans
forward, grinning. "woah man, is that yours? it's awesome!"
and surprisingly, that WAS a genuine compliment. rare to get from
murdeface.

                      NATHAN EXPLOSION.
          

          nathan smiled as he watched all of them interact, taking a step back and watching the conversations, kind of like a mother.
                    the one holding the bass smiled, thanking murderface. it really was a cool bass, it was in the shape of an axe.. and the blade was real, and quite sharp. nathan led all of them into the living room, sitting down with them, and murderface.
          "so uh. i should really introduce my friends, huh?" he said, before pointing at the one holding the bass. "this is uh, morte." he pointed at another, this one having long, curly black hair, and was honestly the tallest. "thats uh. salem.." he kept pointing at the men, saying their names for murderface to remember. all their names were, morte, salem, valen, and payne. all pretty 'gothic' names.
                    "so, what do you uh, wanna talk about, murderface?" he asked, turning to murderface. he'd never introduced any of his friends to the band, actually. i doubt any of dethklok knew nathan had friends other then them..

murderface freezes a bit, trying to think of a topic. he.. doesn't really do this
a lot. not just the speed dating thing, but. just trying to make friendly
conversation in general. he normally just spits out insults and hope for the
best. he thinks for a moment, before speaking up. "um, well... what's your
guys favorite type of metal to play?"

          he kind of just sat back, listening to the conversation and chiming in when something interested him. he actually started falling asleep as he just sat there, now, leaving murderface alone in this.

     
                      THE 'DATES'.
          

          the guys seemed pretty interested in the conversation. they all said something along the lines of 'death metal', 'black metal', 'thrash metal'.. one even said 'goregrind metal'. "do you have any favorite bands?" morte asked, staring at murderface while messing with his guitar.
                    it was pretty obvious that none of them knew how to start a conversation. but it was the 'first date'. some of them noticed nathan sleeping, and snickered, grabbing a pillow and tossing it at the sleeping man. but, nathan didn't budge really, he just grumbled.

murderface starts listing off bands that he likes.. fairly well. he doesn't really
have a FAVORITE, but eh, technicalities. "oh, ya know, acid bath, cradle
of filth, system of a down... ya know, the hardcore stuff." he clearly isn't
used to this, voice stilted and awkward as he tries to figure out what he wants
to say.

          a good amount of time passed, with the group talking, and nathan fast asleep on the couch. it had became dark outside, and nathan finally woke up, rubbing his eyes. he looked over at murderface, seeing how much fun he was having made nathan feel pretty proud, for some reason.
                    "well, it's pretty dark outside, and well, we've all gotta go to bed. so, it was uh. nice to see you guys." he said, smiling at the group. it was around 10:30 PM, and everyone was pretty tired, especially nathan. the group thanked the two of them, and only one of them exchanged numbers with murderface, and that was morte, the one holding the bass. hey, it's better than none of them giving him their number.
          once they left, nathan quickly looked at murderface. "so, how'd it go?" he asked, grinning. he hoped everything went well for murderface, and he hoped it wasn't a complete disaster..

"it uh..... it went well. better than i expected."
he muttered, face hearing up. this whole thing has made
him realize that maybe... his typical way of talking was
mainly the thing chasing people away. you'd think that's
common sense, but, murderface isn't exactly the
brightest. "hey, nathan? thanks... for helping me.
i know i can be a jerk sometimes." more like most
of the time, but hey. at least he's self aware now.
it's an improvement.

          he smiled a bit, giving murderface a thumbs up. “yeah no problem. i know i can be a jerk to you sometimes too but uh. yeah. just know that i..care about you.” he said, cringing at those last few words. he started walking to pickles room, giving murderface a pat on the shoulder before leaving.
                    he opened pickles door, looking around. “pickles? are you uh, awake?” he asked, spotting pickles on the bed. he quickly sat next to him, smiling down at him. he slowly laid next to him, staring up at the ceiling.. he still wasn’t used to sleeping next to people.

"yeah, i'm still up. so, how did the dates go? did he say anything
horrific?" he asks, looking over at nathan lays down next to him.
seeing how stiff nathan was, laying next to him, pickles scoots a bit
closer, latching onto his side. maybe he can get him to loosen up?
...probably not. still worth a try, though.
