hi y'all excuse me but I'm about to get really sappy....
Its after a long time of pondering, I have come to the decision to leave the character community.

Most of you might not remember me, some of you might! I got into original characters in 2012 then was heavily involved in the early stages of the Plumerian closed species and then the EARLY days of the very popular Kalon species. I was also in several character re-adoption places such as SCAA (if yall remember them) and then I joined CAAA. I got to interact with a lot of people who would one day become CS Staff (specifically Simon who gifted me my first Plumerian & Calibri who I met through Kalon & Sixbane whose art I stalked for years and who is such a sweet and talented person it is WILD)

Characters have played a huge part in my life & I LOVED writing stories, trading art and discussing them with all of you! This community really grew my love for writing and art, and I would say, made me a more conscious and aware person. And I made so many friends along the way. While I love my characters dearly, I have archived every piece of them that I could to my personal hard-drives. I've chosen to remove as much as I can of them from the internet AND if you see any images or other users claiming my characters as their own please let me know!!!!

I use to think it was selfish for people to do what I'm doing now. That I missed seeing their characters around all the platforms and it felt like a loss. And I apologize that I'm doing the same thing now. I don't have many excuses for myself, just really that I've been MIA for a long time on these forums and sometimes sorting/writing/collecting art became overwhelming even with the relatively small amount of characters I had (~ 60). Another factor is the amount of time I've been doing this (10 YEARS!!!!) and unfortunately, there are overwhelming adult responsibilities that I now have to deal with.

While I have decided to "officially" leave this part of my life, I WILL STILL BE AROUND CS! I will pop-in specifically for the events & I might snag a art piece of my fursona now and again and share it here!!!! This is less of a farewell as just an officially typed goodbye to this community that I love so much <3 <3 <3

*coughs* damn I feel so old now that I think about it. I truly grew up on CS & it's shocking
I joined CS in my first year of middle school & was super involved with just the CS pets but then I got into the OC community and the art sphere and that was really where I found my people. Out of my middle school group I am the last to have continued on with this game to this day, my in real life friends haven't logged on again in years & I don't keep in touch with them anymore, unfortunately. Some are completely off the radar/off social medial so idk how I'd even go about it. Now that I'm thinking about it I should probably reach out and see how they're doing...

But yes, over the years I have:
- Finished middle school, high school, and went on to college
- Switched my career choices a million times
- Worked and am working several jobs (ADULT MONEY YESSS) which I still refuse to spend on virtual currency and therefore struggle with getting my hands on the store pets every two months
- Surprisingly stuck by my original characters from which I'd never part with cuz they're a deep part of who I am now
- I drive now too, and go on some amazing adventures (11 year old me would have been blown away by my freedom to travel now)
- I get to have pets now (2 cats) and my family has gotten better financial standing so now we own a condo & I have my own room
- I'm now pre-med and I study Human Biology & History at a pretty prestigious college (especially for my major)
- I've hit some ruff spots, but they haven't cost me lasting damage

Most significantly, I've become and am still becoming, someone who the little version of me would have been really proud and amazed by. Life has only become brighter and beautiful with every year and I'm very grateful for all that I have. It's funny but I dreamed up one of my first OCs Araisa when I first joined CS & it's surprising how I've really grown into who I had envisioned this fictional character to be, completely unintentionally.



UPDATE to this as of 2022...
- I'm now in a better financial situation as is the rest of my family
- I'm graduating college with a B.S. in human biology in June 2022
- I will be applying to Law School <3
- I have a car, go on trips & have plans to move out
- I have a stable, healthy, and fulfilling relationship with someone I love very much
- I am now very much into sustainability & supporting the environment through simple steps
- And I am much happier and hopeful then I have been in years
