I feel like I've posted a lot recently, but I'm considering taking a break from wishing for characters (after Ganyu) to focus on saving primos to gain weapons for the characters I do have, though I'm not sure... how smart (??) that is as an f2p player. Not sure what I'm asking, really, I have a hard time communicating lol but I suppose I'm curious if the weapon banner is really worth it?
I mostly have all the characters I'm interested in at the moment, and even if more come along I feel as though currently I'm overwhelmed by so many characters that aren't performing as best they couldn't. None of my characters have a 5* weapon because I've never aimed specifically to get weapons for them.

There are some really good 5* weapons. I hope you'll be luckier in getting them and certain 4* weapons than I am!

I know what you mean by overwhelmed, lol. I currently have 38 characters in my party, and I must take my time in choosing which to spoil and build up on.

I luckily got a Skyward Harp, for my Childe! I heard it's the second best 5 star bow for him, since the Polar Star came out a while back. Once that's leveled up enough, I'll equip him with it. My second best archer, Fischl, will get the Viridescent Hunt once that happens. (The Hunt is a 4* bow from the BP's Gnostic Hymn.)

If you want to go for any weapon banner roll-wishes, look a little into what the 4* and 5* weapons are capable of, along with their stats ahead of time, before you decide to try your luck.

If anyone needs or wants help in building their characters, I usually use game8.co
It has descriptions on how to play the character, what artifacts work best on them as well as weapons, and best contenders if you don't get those options, and even some characters that work well with them. I usually just type in the character name followed by build in google and look for that address

@_Mari_ happy birthday yo!! and good luck on your crowning adventures <33 debating on crowning childe myself but i've been hella swamped with building other characters haha. i also use paimon.moe! since i can customize a to-do list and it also keeps track of your wish history from the past 6 months.

@ᴍᴀᴏᴄɪғᴇʀ honestly i was thinking of doing the same thing at some point! honestly i think it'll be a bit difficult, because the weapon pity system is kinda bad compared to the character banner...but there's nothing wrong with trying! i did get kazuha's sword (freedom sworn) at soft pity without spending, so i think it wouldn't be that bad. i don't pay attention to weapon banner shenanigans, so take this with a grain of salt, but it does take a while for certain weapons to rerun tho it seems like they're being rerun in conjunction with the character it's BiS for. so that's something good to hear!!

Happy birthday Mari! Yes I agree that the birthday mail is always so cute, and I also wish you luck on the crowning adventures! I never know what to really do with my crowns haha, I've crowned a number of people, but I still have a good 9 or so left over. No one is double crowned much less triple XD I think a long term goal for me is to either triple crown all tall males, or solo crown all males in general (sorry ladies im just a husbando collector 😔✌)

YES IM SO EXCITED FOR LANTERN RITE, out of all the events I've experienced (which,,,, is all of them since I've been playing since launch haha) the first lantern rite was by far the most disappointing. The date with Xiao was okay, but it really was just a fetch quest simulator that was boasted as having 50 new world quests added or something like that and dont even get me started on the "gifting travelers a million primos" things they tried to do. god what a mess really, the cutsecene was the best part, but the cutscene was uploaded to youtube moths before genshin even came out since the original lantern rite was unchanged from beta iirc

For outside resources to help with genshin, I have a few as well! I use seelie.me as my go too planner, and its been updating a lot to be more than just a planner which I love. It also has an achievement tracker and an interactive map itself! (but its not as good as the original because not many people comment/ update it where things are. so its nice to have everything in one space, but i still find myself using the other interact map more often)

Also Paimon.moe! This has a lot of builds for each character and a system used to keep track of pity since your wish history is deleted after 6 months in genshin. they have guides on how to upload your history into their system for all platforms so its not just limited to PC ^^

I liked the first Lantern Rite. I wouldn't call hanging out with Xiao a "date" but I do agree the quests got to be a bit much. I was down to do a few for primos but it got repetitive quickly as all they wanted were lanterns, materials for lanterns, or lantern delivery. I have 55 left over so hopefully I'll be able to repurpose them this year.

I'm currently working on Ningguang on another note, aiming to triple crown her and Beidou for... reasons (being that they're girlfriends, your honor).

On the subject of builds, I hardly rely on websites for help anymore as I think I've gotten good enough to have a basic understanding of artifacts & DPS builds.

zerocalories: Paimon.moe, I know of that one! A friend of mine linked another and myself to that site a few months ago. I didn't know about the wish history part. That's interesting! I'll have to go back and look. Definitely gonna triple crown Flirty (my nickname for Childe). I'm never going to stop spoiling my most favorite, LOL. He's great. Not only is he excellent as an archer and melee unit. He's also best hunter at getting multiples of fowl and raw meat thanks to the Hunt. XD

I'm almost done with crowning Ayaka. All that's left to obtain is 2 gold elegance scrolls, and one more branch from Azdaha. She's been such a great cryo DPS for me. Her crit rate is 83%, and her crit damage is over 160%. 2 piece blizzard strayer, and 2 piece gladiators are her artifact sets. An all the way maxed out harbinger of dawn is her weapon. I look forward to seeing how much more OOMPH she can do once she's at god mode.

∑Siebren: That's part of what makes Genshin Impact really fun and interesting; how you choose to build the characters you have. No two builds of anyone's characters are exactly the same. Get all them husbandos! ^^
