New Rule: DNI (Do Not Interact) Lists are Banned

^ agreed with the people above. If you find that you have to block someone because of something you don’t like, please don’t be ashamed to block. I know a lot of people who feel hesitant or self conscious about it and don’t do so. But if you ever feel unsafe on this game, please report it to the mods and block. I’ll say it again for people who may be reading this. You don’t need a dni list to be felt safe, there is a reason we have a community here who helps against that stuff, and mods who instill these rules.

ok but the mods barely instill these rules. i believe seasonal (mightve been another mod idk) said on the first few pages that cs relies on user reports for rule breaking content. which means its up to US to inform them if someone has a dni list or is breaking a rule or posting gore or w/e, just giving a few examples because ive seen it and reported all these things now.

They rely on user reports, yes, but they also moderate the site, from what i've seen, themselves and they do a very good job at it. (if the mods are online)

On top of this, would you really wanna gamble this and put sensitive content on a DNI?

I don't think this is a triggers only based thing though like I said earlier, I don't want people who don't respect me interacting with me, and I don't see how that is something I need to seek help for lol, why should I have to become comfy w people who don't respect me rather than telling them to stay away from me. I can't block people if I don't know that about them, and they might not even think its a problem unless its explicitly stated, and yeah some may ignore them but they're not going to become my friend, it reduces the risk and gives me peace of mind

I'm pretty sure that CS doesn't allow harassment or hate of people just because their race/religion/gender identity/etc

Discrimination or hateful comments based on any protected class or identity, including but not limited to age, race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability

So you should report people like that once you find out.

If they don't respect you, though, it's unlikely they'll respect a DNI, or click on it in the first place with good intentions

I'm glad this is a rule, it's to protect the users from potentially malicious people, if someone makes you uncomfortable block them, but if you tell them what will make you uncomfortable they're highly likely to go out of their way to do so.

Not everything needs to be public information, keep it to yourself and if you encounter it, block them before it escalates, you don't even need to reply or explain.

Stay safe online, you don't know the person behind the screen nor their intent, words are extremely easy to manipulate for specific purposes/to mask malicious actions.

honestly if being anti-neopronouns and xenogenders would get people banned id eat my shoe. its not a protected class and is such a controversial topic that I can pretty much guarantee it could never be enforced, the only way to even try to it through personal dnis. I don't expect the rule to be changed its just going to effect the way myself and probably lots of people interact on the site

If someone directly picks on you for your xeno genders block them. And report them as that's actually harassment or bullying.

my point isn't that they'll bully me, I don't think they will publicly harass me, its simply the fact that we might talk without either of us knowing where the other stands that is extremely uncomfortable. I just won't chat w people outside trades, it isn't a massive deal im just pointing out that often dnis can be helpful under certain circumstances

People talk to people all the time not knowing a single thing about them, I talk to you without you knowing my triggers, my pronouns, my gender, my birthday, etc.
