Ritsu Sakuma Nero Outfit!Explanation: It’s adorable! And one of her hobbies is leatherworking so it’s quite possible she made it herself! But even more importantly than that, it checks all her boxes for a perfect outfit! It is comfortable, which is a huge factor for her. She is very active and loves to move, so this is super important for her. It is also very warm, which is crucial as she’s from a frigid planet covered in ice and snow. It covers her ears, which tend to get uncomfortably cold in the icy winds. She mines metals deep below the planet but the snowy, icy wind still blows deep into the tunnels beneath the surface. Mining can be dangerous work, not to mention dirty, so she also needs something easily washable, and luckily for her, this one is! Lastly, it represents the various cultures she comes from. While she mines on Kunea, she is from the Argyllic Isles. The pelts are a common fashion accessory for those who aren’t “long-furs”, those who don’t have double coated, excessively thick pelts. The colors and markings, however, are exactly like the ornate garmets of home. She loves the fact that it reminds her so much of the beautiful dresses her mother used to wear whenever they had parties or weddings back at home. The outfit just simply suits her! She loves it and thinks she looks amazing in it!

Jessie May’s Backstory
She was born on Kunea, a chilly arctic planet, from parents who were from the Argyllic Isles. She visited their home a few times during childhood, though it was expensive. She realized from a young age she didn’t like living on Kunea and wanted off when she had enough money. You see, Kunea only had two seasons: cold and
really cold. There was nothing quite like the cold of Kunea, so cold that it got in your bones and made you feel like they’d shatter. She worked mining for many years and rose to become one of their operations foremen. This nice new job caused her to linger for a little longer than expected but as things became more mechanized and there were fewer hours to be had and jobs to be found, she scraped up her money and moved the family back home over to the Argyllic Isles. She didn’t realize that there was a terrible political situation going on back home, an invasion from a harsh alien species known as Dralts. Half of her relatives had already fled to whichever spaceports would have them. The other half was eager to make passage somewhere, anywhere else. At this point, having blown her money to get over to the Argyllics, she bartered with a crew to work in exchange for her passage to a safe planet. They agreed to take her parents, but she would be required to work for a year or two to pay off the debt. To this day, she works with the crew of space smugglers. It’s dangerous, hard work, but nothing she’s not used to. She enjoys it. The crew are all good people and they have plenty of adventure to go around. But something in her still longs for the joy and comfort of family, when someday she will be reunited. But in the meantime, she aims to find joy in the journey, and maybe find love while she’s at it...
Romance:
She hasn’t been looking for that special someone forever, since most of her time has been spent focused on work. But nowadays, dating and looking for a beaux has occupied more of her mind than usual. She’s open to whoever comes her way and steals her heart. As far as what’s she’s looking for, she wants someone to sweep her off her feet, but they don’t have to do anything big. They just have to be kind, fun-loving, and take time for the little things. Maybe buy her a drink, or surprise her with a little trinket, or take her to do something exciting. She likes getting off at the spaceports they refuel at and hitting the tavern. Maybe one of these days someone will catch her eye...
Hobbies:
She loves to make cool things, particularly when they involve leather working. She has made herself holsters, knife sheaths, book covers, even shoes and clothes! She also likes outdoor physical activities. Her favorite is mountaineering and she can take on even the steepest terrain! The cliffs and peaks of Kunea prepared her for just about anything. She’s also a competent ice-skater, and owns a set of skates. She used to be able to land an axel, though her skills are a bit rusty these days from not practicing much. She also loves reading books about geology and has always been interested in soils, different rock types, and mineralogy. She likes to collect rocks and has a few geodes! She likes all sorts of music from punk to bluegrass and even a bit of rap. She also loves going to the beach on any planet she visits that has one. She has a deep love for seas, water and swimming. She didn’t learn how to swim as a kit and still isn’t the best swimmer but she still likes to go just to splash. She can swim well enough to keep her head above water but it’s pretty much just a doggy-paddle. She especially likes looking at the little animals in tide pools and comparing them across the different planets she visits.
Playlist:Pine Point// PUP — Growing up in a poor mining town with few people on Kunea, she felt the desolation deep in her soul. There weren’t many people in the town at all, and very few her age. Days were short, cold, and dark and many young folks turned to vandalism and other bad behaviors to keep themselves entertained. She went along with some of it, but it didn’t make her feel too good about herself. She only got a so-so education since their high school was so small but she would have liked to go to college and become a geologist or a marine scientist if she had the option. As the mining operation grew, eventually the town was abandoned and its residents moved elsewhere as the land was used for the mine. There was a very empty feeling in the town and residents and this song captures her childhood.
So What (CLEAN)// P!NK — Don’t be fooled by her country bumpkin appearance! Jessie has quite the rebel spirit in her and isn’t afraid to lash out if she feels someone has been taking advantage of her or has been rude. Years of hard work has made her tough, rugged, and determined. While a few relationships in the past haven’t worked out, it doesn’t mean she’s desperate and she doesn’t settle for someone she doesn’t actually love. She’s more than happy to let people know when they’re being toxic. Ultimately, her self-worth comes from her believing in herself and she is quite confident in who she is.
