"uhh....hold on, little one!" Quietpaw started to panic as he realized the kit needed milk. "Seasong, Fallenrains, anyone? I need help in the medicine den! Please?"

"yes, we can go there. Itll be nice to get warm." Softpaw padded into the apprentice den.

At the sound of his name he stiffens, "eat Seasong, I'll call you if I need you." And with that the silver warrior is gone from the group, into the medicine cat den. Seeing the teeny kit he frowns, "where did you find him?" Is questioned politely, creeping closer - "I'm going to get that water out of your pelt." He bows his head to the task, gently licking the rain and puddle water from the kits pelt. "Quietpaw, can you please ask our leader to come here?"

Nightorchid

She followed Softpaw to the den and sat right at the entrance, sitting beside him, "So how's apprenticeship going?" She asked him, still keeping her distant gaze on the fast falling rain.

He mewled in protest, still trying to get the milk he wanted but eventually greeted the warmth with a quiet response, curling into a fluffy dark ball.

"Thank you, you didn't have to you know. Did you already eat?" Cloudfur asked concern gracing their features.

"Will you share this with me if you haven't? I can't possibly eat all this by myself." Cloudfur admitted.

"Hi Honeykit; I'm Sandkit. You're gonna stay here with me? Yay!" Sandkit said while hopping a bit.

Leafcloud purred at the two kits, it was good to have the patter of tiny paws in camp again. All this was concerning though, so many kits were being found lately. She could hear in the background that there was another in the medicine den, but she decided not to investigate, Quietpaw could handle it.

currently idle, tags open if anyone wants to talk to him.

(going to keep this here in case anyone didn't see)so uh, I have a few questions? since there are so many abandoned kits lately, maybe we could do some sort of... origin for them? like, there was a clan that had to exile(ish) them to the nearby clan's territory hoping they would take the kits in because there was some catastrophe going on in THEIR clan? (or something like that idk)
Also, Alpha, I'd like one of Moss/Mossblossom's kits?

(@ meis - I don't have a problem with that! I made her since there WERE so many kits suddenly. I edited her history too, so that there IS a possible backstory, but I'm just waiting for an acceptance)

HoneyKit

She pulls a bit of meat from the kill, offering it to SandKit; "We could be like family!" Is said excitedly, after she's taken a bite or two. After all, she hadn't had much of one, and she'd lost all her kin. "Can we play? After eating. Wanna play?!"

FallenRains

The silvery cat is quiet, curled around the tiny kit, "he needs milk. There are no queens here, not yet." Is muttered, mostly to himself as he thinks out loud. Would the kit even survive? He's thin, and cold... and so so tiny. Sandkit is small - and this kit is even smaller. "We will have to get prey in milk. It may not work, but without a queen..." The words are infact to himself until he makes a decision.

He exhales, "LeafCloud!" Is called to the she-cat, "SeaSong! " Casting a glance at Ripplefield and Wildbreeze he looks abashed, "sorry."

The huge he-cat smiles, "of course I'm sure!" Is said, "I was hoping you might want to have the first meal with me. " He pats the thrush bird closer to Cloudfur, an offering for them to take the first bite. He'd caught it just for them! "I like to start the day by eating,... I'd love to share with you." He takes a seat across from the warrior.

"Well, i went into the woods to get some herbs and i heard him...he was going to die if he wasnt brought back to camp...im sorry for leaving without permission...Ill go get Tinystar now." Quietpaw padded out of the den and called Tinystars name. "Tinystar! Youre needed in the medicine cat den! Its Fallenrains, they want you!"

"eh...as good as it can be when youre losing your eyesight...things are just blurry nowadays....how are you?" The apprentice sat down next to the warrior, glad to have company.

"Thank you; it-it means a lot that you want to share your time and food with me." They said as Cloudfur took a small bite groaning at the taste.

"So good." They said around the bite.

It only just occured to them that they hadn't ate anything for a day or two since it had just slipped their mind to eat

"Yeah family!" Sandkit mewed.

His eyes lit up when he heard play; he hadn't had any other kits to play with and playing with random leaves got boring after a while.

"Yeah! I wanna play!" Sandkit yelled before taking another bite of food.

The calico trotted over to the medicine den, shooting an apologetic and wistful glance at Frostbite. What was wrong? She gave Fallenrains a quizzical look as she neared the den, she had not yet seen how thin and small the kit was yet, and therefore was confused. It did not take long for Leafcloud to understand though, the kit looked frail, tiny, too young to survive long without milk. "Oh. My. Starclan. Fallenrains, where did you- no, how are we going raise a kit this young? We don't have any queens and I'm no expert but I don't think meat or any type of herb can substitute milk," she said. No mother would abandon their kitten so young, something was wrong.

Blue eyes level at the apprentice, "you did right QuietPaw, I'm quite proud of you." He tells the young apprentice- the praise is out of the ordinary. He isn't much for complements, "now," there is LeafCloud. "Fortunately I AM an expert, just... not the way you're thinking. " He clears his long throat.

"Someone needs to stay with Sandkit and Honeykit, to keep them safe. I saw a hawk a couple days ago and i want them watched always. " theres a worried lilt to his voice, "I need multiple warriors to hunt prey IN MILK, you can smell the milk scent on them. Rabbits usually work, but itll take two for a meal. It's not a cure, but it'll have to do." He dares not uncurl from around the kit, "he's too small to let alone." (The last sentence wasnt meant to say out loud); "I need to stay with him for now, or SeaSong. I trust you LeafCloud. Please, "

Honeykit

Not used to eating anymore she doesn't eat much - so her distended belly isn't all food. But she sort of feels full... and doesn't want a belly ache. "Where'd Ghost go?" Is asked, between her clumsy attempts at grooming the rabbits blood from her golden hued pelt.

His ears perk at the sound; and then he feels warm all over. He knows he's blushing and rather than look at Cloudfur he bends his head, pulls some feathers from the thrush, and then takes a bite.
