Rainkit wondered why Bandit didn't answer, didn't he want to be an apprentice? "Clan life is pretty great ," she started softly, "Always, well normally, having a full belly at night, a warm bed to sleep in, friends who always have your back." She paused, looking curiously back at Bandit. "Do you miss being on your own? Ive had many dreams about living on my own, they were so free, it was an amazing feeling not to have a care in the world and be able to do as I pleased." She paused and closed her beautiful eyes, letting a smile creep onto her face. "But the loneliness always brought me back home." She laid her ears flat for a few seconds, realizing that she told the hostile cat something she kept personal, secret. "I'm sorry if I've asked you too many questions.. I just find you interesting." She gave a sheepish smile and looked at him for a second. He always had a gaze that was downcast, never really looking at anyone. She watched his eyes, they were glossy. He must've been crying. Rainkits gaze softened. "I'm not asking for you're life story, you don't have to tell me anything, just know that if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here." She gave a friendly smile and rose to her paws, looking back in the direction of camp. "I should probably leave, I might miss my ceremony. You should come too." As Rainkit turned to leave, the bark beneath her back paws broke off and she slipped, and it sent Rainkit over the edge of the log. She quickly fastened her front claws into the loose bark, this log was very old and threatened to break. The rivers current had grown stronger and faster, and it pulled strongly at the she-cats soaken body. Rainkit's bondi blue eyes were wide with terror. She could swim, but only in the gentle currents. She tried to pull herself back on, put she was too heavy from the water soaked in her pelt. She darted her terrified gaze at Bandit for help before her claws slipped and she was taken under water by the current.
