I have an adorable alaskan malamute named Rain, and I'm the happiest I could ever be <3
Today I'm going to do a photoshoot with him; nothing special, just for my photo album <3
My mother is going to hold the camera, but I don't know how a 1 year and 3 and a half month old dog can sit still in a picture; with fluffy snowballs I bought too!
Any tips on how to make him focus on the camera? <3
Grab their favorite toy and/or treats !
Thank you!! Right on time! We just took some adorable photos <3 It took a while, but it was worth it!
No problem!! A tennis ball worked best for our beagle that we recently lost. Treats work best for our boy tiger!
Tiger <3

We delayed opening presentings because Lyle, the family dog, elderly as he is, hid himself and we almost thought he got out of the yard-
I'm quit Chickensmoothie, I have given my pets away to a friend. Thanks for the memories everyone!

I'm no professional photographer by any standard, but I always try to take pics of my Piperoni Pumpkin-Rolli {Piper for short} whenever I take her out. She's a high energy breed {Australian Shepherd/Corgi mix}, so I find that tiring her out with play is always a good idea before trying to snap any pics. Unless you're trying to get action shots of course! I find that a "tired-out-from-play" pup is an obedient one, lol! Piper's fave game is fetch, but a good walk is nice too.
And, if you can, perhaps hold your pups favourite toy up right above the camera. I use high-value treats {like a piece of smoked sausage or bacon} to get Piper's attention. Also, take as MANY pictures as possible. Like, take several constantly once you find a good pose.
Don't hesitate! I actually took Piper outside to play in her first snow ever today, & I was only able to get some nice shots of her once we'd played fetch a little bit! Waiting for these was worth my frozen shins, lol

But then of course... she doesn't stay still for long (●´ω`●)

Hello everyone! I used to be super active on here years ago and thought I’d drop back in! I own two dogs, a Border Collie named Ace and a working line Malinois named Ameera. I trained Ace a lot, but now that he’s an old man he just hangs out haha. I started in IGP with Ameera and we have since also explored PSA and Mondioring. We have also done Dock diving, lure coursing (LCI coursing), Rally-O, and AKC scentwork. Soon we will try NACSW nosework and hopefully trial in Barn hunt.
