I must ask guys, how are custom pets chosen? I know tess said that customs are awarded for the staff helping, but is there a big amount of criteria? Or is it like, you're staff, so you get one regardless? Do you make them yourselves? Or do they make them based off of what they think of you or is it Based on your ideas? I'm just curious in the process because some of the customs are so utterly unique!

All staff do receive custom pets as thanks for volunteering their time to help keep the site running smoothly. There are no specific criteria that need to be met (I mean, if someone was hired and then immediately ghosted us they wouldn't get a custom, but you know what I mean haha). You can design your custom pet yourself or have another staff member design it for you. You can use CS lines or 100% custom lines, whichever you prefer. Most people choose their fursonas or OCs to use as their custom, but some people may choose a favorite animal or a design they really love.

We can establish that I know the Oekaki boards. That's my home. Past that?
I can talk for hours on the Titanic and her sisters. I am a treasure trove of information about orcas, but I know a lot about animals in general. Want to know about some military aircraft or some commercial aviation incidents? Oh boy, I got you. I know most generally accepted haunted locations in my state and some in the next, as well as several dozen across the US and beyond. I can tell you about money and banking, gemstones and jewelry, and I know a fair amount about automobiles and I'm a good hand at computers. I've sponged up information in several fandoms, different areas of science, and history. My brain runneth over with information.

But beyond the Oekaki boards, CS is a strange creature, and I am but a potato.

I imagine the admins have the most knowledge as to the actual mechanics behind CS. Beyond that it's pretty fun that staff and even members of CS can have super specific interests and topics that they choose to become experts in and everyone helps each other out.

I'm by far the "newest" of the staff having only technically joined in 2018 right before Halloween, (I played for a bit in 2015 on a different profile that has since been Deactivated), so I tend to feel like I'm the least experienced in CS so it's always a surprise when I'm able to figure out solutions to problems with minimal research or deep diving into the forums . I am still trying to figure out if I want to dedicate myself to becoming an expert in an area of CS or if I'm happy being more generalized.

1. are any of you willing to show us your custom pets? I've heard of them but never actually seen one and when I go to look in a staffs pets they often have many many many groups that would take me years to go through, very cool.

1. This thread has many customs listed. ^^;; Some of us kinda want to enjoy our customs privately, so we ask that they not be posted.

2. I'm spending the day with my mother. She's the only family I have for a few hundred miles, and my friends are with their own families, so... \o/
Holidays are usually a quiet affair with us, heh.
