Does anyone know of anything I could do to cheer him up even if it’s a little bit? I’ve been trying to find beagle stuffed animals when I go into Walmart and they don’t have any, I did get him a ornament that was a personalized one and wrote his name on the bone under the beagle but I’m not sure what else I can do, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know…

I’ve been trying to comfort him in all this because I just lost my support cat of 12 years in October… I know how he feels and that’s why I’m kinda struggling…. I was so bad last night that I took tiggers ashes and fur (they’re in a zip lock bag because we’re personalizing the boxes) and slept with him… it’s difficult but I just need some different options son how I can make him happy with there being nothing beagle related in the stores 😔

Thank you in advance!

I'm sorry, Aura!! I understand how hard this must be for you. I wish you the best of luck, and that nothing that traumatising will ever happen to you again.

I've actually just looked at a sweet little cup a few days ago, I hope this link and image help:

This is in Walmart, if you go, you can show the store that image/link <33

@aura
I'm so sorry for your losses </3
I see a lot of custom pet stuff on etsy often, maybe try there?
A pet portrait would be sentimental and a wonderful way to remember copper by as well, there are a lot of both cute
and creative styles. :)

I would suggest talking to your vet about something to help for a long car ride, they can usually prescribe something that will help and it won't cost an arm and a leg(can also discuss CBD oil). Most anxiety treats/supplements over the counter are hit or miss depending on the dog.

Have you had dogs before? What breeds?
A Shetland Sheepdog named Shelly. And still have her
Are there any breeds that have already caught your eye? If so, why?
Golden retrievers. They are so fat and cute and perfect
How much time a day do you have to devote to training your dog?
I am busy with school and it's cold outside so I don't have *much* time to train her but she knows the basics like sit stay heel focus lay down etc. etc.
What kind of grooming needs are you prepared to handle?
We wash her when she gets dirty, clip her nails regularly, brush her fur regularly, blah blah blah you know the drill so that's what I want with my future doggerooskis
What kind of energy level are you looking for?
I'm okay with hyper dogs but I want them to get calm when they need to be.
What do you plan on doing with your dog?
Um.. Dog and owner things??
What size dog are you wanting?
I like medium sizes
What age dog are you looking for?
Words cannot describe how much I don't care how old they are. Shelly is 11. And she acts like a 3 month old puppy.
What kind of lifestyle do you live? (Active, couch potato etc)
Very lazy
“It’s important that my dog.... (finish the sentence)
Is healthy, happy, pampered just everything she/he needs and wants
What do you want the dog for? (Family dog, companion, ect.)
Family dog and companion.
Do you have other animals? If so, what do you have?
11 chickens and 4 kitty cats

Shelly lost her hubby recently. It has been very devastating.
This is Shelly, my biddy 11 yo photogenic doggo

@Snugglebug: I would suggest looking into a bench-bred(show) golden for what you are looking for rather than a field-bred(working) due to your lifestyle and more companion orientation rather than looking to do sports and such with the dog. I will say to definitely research breeds down the road(other than their appearances) when you are ready as each has their own health concerns that breeders should be attempting to prevent and strive to keep out of their lines through testing and just knowing the pedigree. I will say that age definitely matters in your situation with school unless you will be having lots of free time should you be getting a puppy. A young adult would sound like a better fit with what you have stated.

Your photo is broken for me but I'm sure Shelly is adorable.

Hi all!

I have an adorable alaskan malamute named Rain, and I'm the happiest I could ever be <3

Today I'm going to do a photoshoot with him; nothing special, just for my photo album <3

My mother is going to hold the camera, but I don't know how a 1 year and 3 and a half month old dog can sit still in a picture; with fluffy snowballs I bought too!

Any tips on how to make him focus on the camera? <3
