I used to wonder why people would target a game like AJ for hacking, but now the reason kind of just slapped me in the face. Of course there's always just the fact that it is (or was) easy to breach, so "hackers in training" used it for practice, and of course there's the people who like to troll kids on the internet just because they can. But the biggest reason is simple; WildWorks is a pretty scummy company behind the scenes. Sure, they try to keep up a front that makes them seem like a good company that cares about its player base, but all the things I've seen in the past few weeks speak to the contrary. Clark Stacey basically outed himself as a money-hungry cryptobro, and all of the Glassdoor reviews from people who actually work or have worked for WildWorks paint a pretty bleak picture.
TL;DR, AJ gets hacked because people are trying to make WildWorks pay attention to all the bad things they've done.

i totally agree, one if the reasons why i quit. usually i don't play money hungry games, as its VERY clear they're money hungry. Memberships, etc. You cannot do anything without a membership, if I'll be honest.
Games from EA are also money hungry, but they don't force their players and fanbase to pay for things.

worst of all, they don't do anything about the hackers. they just alert you your password was breached, no hacker problem was actually removed. i haven't researched too well, as you have, but I know how much they dont do in contrast to what they do, do for the community.

All I remember about this game is that I once scammed a popular YouTuber in that game for a pink long and then I recycled it because I didn't care. Haven't played since.

I feel like SUCH a brat for begging my parents to buy me gift cards, etc. because I was a SUCKER for these kinds of games. I remember I once got bored of my membership and would play as a non-member because it felt more... old-school. Animal Jam gives this illusion that it's SO COOL to be a member, but once you are one, what do you do? I think the game is heavily dependent on who you play it with; you can actually have so much fun talking/playing with your friends. However, I see that the game's promotion of "rares" really distracts from the actual game. Thus, you get scamming, hacking, and all of those fun types of extortion introduced!

@nyachty I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's stupid that someone will steal literal pixels from people who just want to enjoy the game.

@Clock! I always wondered why AJ got hacked so often, especially because the majority of players are younger. It makes sense now that you mentioned that it's relatively easy to breach for hackers. I'm EMBARRASSED that I once wanted to be famous for playing AJ... that was a scary phase.

@nyachty I remember watching those videos titled, "I WAS HACKED :( **I LOST EVERYTHING PLEASE WATCH**" and AJ would basically reply, saying, "Okay. Too bad. Change your password." They do NOT care about the players whatsoever. Like I mentioned before, I always gave into money-hungry games, and it upsets me beyond belief that I really let the companies do that to me (and other people...)
I mean at least with EA, for example, you can play The Sims 4 and ACTUALLY do stuff. With AJ, it's like "free trial for an overpriced game!"

I feel so bad for begging my parents too sadly like. Using memberships to promote what’s cool or not worked, and not in a good way,, good way for them though
Idk how much I spent on gems as a kid, but it was a lOt. Having a cool den and everything was like amazing but then at what cost?

I KNOW HAHA I WATCHED THOSE TOO! Like now I’m more grown up, I don’t care about what I lost, but as a kid it’s pretty heartbreaking haha, as a kid it was like one of my biggest achievements <//3 and EXACTLLY, even with aj giving you some freedom without a membership, you still couldn’t wear all the popular items like..
I’m a sucker for money hungry games too, smh. Oh well though

Postby ♡ foxes in socks ♡ » Thu Dec 23, 2021 4:11 pm

just wanted to leave a little post on here and say that i logged back onto animal jam classic for the first time in a year or two i want to say? and realised i have a bunch of stuff on there if anybody still plays and would like anything :). i might keep a couple things just for nostalgia reasons but im never going to use them again so might as well give them to someone who will! i have a spare purple long going and some betas and just some other stuff so please shoot me a pm on here if you're interested! my user is siyfee <3

(just as a side note and mini rant ig?? - gosh this is so strange... this game used to be my life from ages 10-14 and now it hardly has anybody on it, it makes me kinda sad in a weird way but i suppose a lot of the og members grew up and left for manyyy of the reasons listed above aha. it's quite bittersweet but i suppose it had to happen at some point, but it honestly just makes me remember back to when it was in its hayday and how long i would spend on it on the never ending quest for black longs and headresses haha. ive also somehow managed to accumulate 2k diamonds from when i used to have membership  im honestly considering buying the cheapest one and just buying a bunch of spikes to giveaway instead of letting them rot on my account :,) )

confession as a kid I would tell people to come to my den for a "HD" (headdress) giveaway and giveaway a HDTV instead
this entertained me for a solid few months

edit: I never scammed people with this by the way!!<3 just do like fashion comps that ended with the joke and a (though admittedly more underwhelming than a hd) different prize<3

You weren't the only one lol. There were a bunch of people that did that back in the day. I even fell for one once myself. ;u;
I also remember, when I was still a newbie player, I thought "HD" meant the TV, so whenever someone asked for a "HD", I tried to trade them my HDTV. Was very confused why people kept declining, until someone finally explained it to me. c':

just a quick question, has anyone got any hacks to sort out the storage account problem im having?. since aj became classic and play wild obviously you have to download the game so you can't really have two different accounts open at the same time unless you have two different pc's, but i have some old storage accounts that i know have got some random items on. unfortunately they're non member and i can't really afford to buy membership on two accounts so i can't just gift myself the items, does anyone know a way around this at all?

So, you open one AJC, then you log out of it but don't close. You tap the app again, and when it opens, log onto your main and your spare on the other one. It's easier to do it with 2 accounts, though! Like 1 at a time lol
