I designed Avian as my fursona a long time ago, but mostly just so people would have something to draw when I participated in art trades and gifts. I just see her as a CS mascot these days, and I don't really have any other active characters or fursona.

I know that Totoro has been on CS for a very long time. Do you still have her in real life?

Sadly I don't, but I believe she is still alive and well. I owned 2 female cocktiels (Totoro and Ponyo) and I had planned for my parents to keep them while I studied abroad for a year, but in the end that didn't work out and I had to re-home them. That was a few years ago now.

The new owners have an indoor aviary and 2 male cockatiels, which was Totoro's dream home, because she always wanted a bf. Ponyo was less impressed because she was hand-reared and a bit strange and didn't really care for other birds. But she loves the owner's kids. They intended for Totoro to have a clutch of babies, so there are probably some mini Totoros flapping around these days.

I miss having birds, but I hope to get a dog in a few years and I don't want to risk having my pet get eaten by my future dog so I'm petless at the moment. I occasionally get to foster interesting small pets for the SPCA, but haven't fostered any birds for them so far. Just rats and mice

hello again! some more questions since I'm curious:

1) have you ever gone to a circus? what was it like?

2) if you could make any CS pet real (as in, come to life in real life), who would you pick?

3) favorite festive activity? favorite winter/festive food?

4) do you prefer books, plays, or movies?

1) Yes, my dad got box seats in NYC for Ringling Bros when I was in 1st or 2nd grade. It was fun from what I remember. I got a toy flying motorcycle guy.

2) The eastern dragons, they're some of my fave lineart.

3)All of them Seriously though, Christmas and Winter is my favorite time of the year. I bake cookies for friends and family, I did about 42 dozen or so this year. My fave I make are Linzers and Snickerdoodles. We have a family tradition of wassail and reading on Christmas Eve, and I always wrap my presents while watching It's A Wonderful Life. And I LOVE snow.

4) Books>TV shows>musicals>movies but I enjoy all of the above and really have only just started reading a lot again.

1. never! we don't really see many of them here! i'd love to though!

1. I have been to Cirque de Soleil once, and I can vaguely remember going to a circus as a kid with a bunch of dancing dogs and horses.
2. I'd choose this one!
3. I use to go ice skating every year with friends. My favourite winter food is definitely gingerbread cookies with a hot chocolate, and then sitting next to the fire and watching The Grinch with the fam. Though since I now live in a place where Christmas is actually summer time, I enjoy eating ice cream while sitting by the pool lol
4. Movies mostly, plays are cool too (loved War Horse and Hamilton!) and I use to be super into books but I've just gotten so busy I don't read much anymore.

I must ask guys, how are custom pets chosen? I know tess said that customs are awarded for the staff helping, but is there a big amount of criteria? Or is it like, you're staff, so you get one regardless? Do you make them yourselves? Or do they make them based off of what they think of you or is it Based on your ideas? I'm just curious in the process because some of the customs are so utterly unique!
