Ban Native Appropriation In Oekaki

I can't say I'm incredibly well versed in this issue or knowledgeable enough to make a case about it, but as I've spent an awful lot of times in oekaki forms (especially with equine art) I've been seeing an awful lot of what would be at best cultural appropriation and at worst racist. Frankly, it just makes me uncomfortable and I know there are others who feel the same on this issue (and likely more white folks that would argue against it). I'm not sure if it would even be enforceable realistically, but I do think a discussion is needed in regards to users being allowed to post images of horses in 'war paint' or other appropriated themes. To create indigenous art with knowledge of it's meaning is one thing. To do it because it's 'cool' or 'interesting' to a white person is another..

Edit; I took a dive into several oekaki types and didn't find anything... I went back maybe 200 pages in each

I would post examples, but I believe it would be inappropriate to call users out behind their back in such a way. I see it on the daily. Going through just about any horse editable, you'll see color-ins with horses covered in 'war paint' and decorated with feathers and headdresses. Even event adopts from closed community adoptables. I may just see it more due to my activity level within these particular forms.

It may be better to send in a report or something than it is to make a suggestion about it tho...

They call it body paint however, and that is not culture appropriating... Many many many different cultures paint their bodies for different reasons, some even for fun!

Edit: I'm indigenous of America and Russia so I know a thing or two

If you believe that symbols from your culture (or any culture) are being used by someone in an inappropriate way, please submit a report and CS staff will take a look.
