And it never said there were no female shinigami's.

I HAVE A GIRL SHINIGAMI! but that's besides the point...
And they all have green eyes because they are shinigamis. Or...sumfin.

Ronald Knox is often discribed as 'always flirting with his secratary'. He is seen flirting with a female in the dispatch in the Will the Reaper OVA. Also, he mentions how he got his death-scythe legally modified by flirting, and how he got the girls in general affairs to come up with a catchphrase for him.
So, there are female Shinigami, they just aren't shown or mentioned often ^^

There need to be some girl shinigami. If a third season is made we need to see some girl shinigami.
Or some black shinigami. THEY'RE ALL WHITE DAMNIT.
