------
Name: Kedar Kedar has no surviving relatives
Kedar has no romantic interests
Kedar has no surviving offspring
Likes: The silence of fresh snowfall, solitude, pupsDislikes: Tense situations, fights for dominance, crueltyStrengths: Strong negotiator, skilled in defusing disagreementsWeaknesses: Her small stature and timid demeanor makes her particularly easy to push around------
Silvery white and flecked with black, Kedar blends in well with
any snow storm. Her summer coat is tinged with cream
around her face and belly. Her winter coat is fluffy
and dominantly white, though numerous spots of black
remain. Kedar's eyes are oft descriped as cold and
unfeeling pools of ice. Her left eye is ringed with scars.
While she isn't blind, she does have trouble seeing on
her left side. The she-wolf is small, outsized by most
males and females. Other scars litter her flanks and
back and her right ear is torn.
------
Personality: Kedar could be likened to a cunning fox.
What she lacks in aggression, she easily makes up for
in problem solving. Being a wolf of low status has forced
Kedar into a life of evasion and appeasement. She's
not too proud to tuck her tail to get away without
bloodshed. She is incredibly good at making herself out
to be pitiful and unassuming, as to never draw attention
to herself. She's not a powerful fighter, but has good
endurance and agility. Stealth in the snow is her strong-suit.
The she-wolf once dreamt of being even one rank higher,
but her vision problems lost her enough fights that she
gave up trying. Instead of participating in the endless
competition for dominance, she chooses to subsist on the
sidelines and contentedly accept what scraps she's left.
Anything is better than fending for yourself, after all.History:
Young Kedar was born to a pair of young and neglectful
wolves. Her mother fed her gnawed on bones at best
and left her hungry at worst. The constant starvation
and batterings from her mother left Kedar small, frail,
and scarred. During this time, her father was scarcely
seen. He brought the occasional half-eaten rabbit to
"provide" for his quickly dwindling litter. Soon Kedar
was the only pup to live through their upbringing.
Sometime after her last sibling was lost, Kedar found
herself to sole focus of her mother's wrath. Her mother
bit her frequently and ferociously, leaving the scar over
her eye in one particularly hostile incident. The she-wolf
was scarely a yearling when she found the courage to give
her mother the slip. Over the next two years of wandering,
she had found a mate, and bore her first litter. This peace
would not last, as the following spring would see terrible
wildfire. Her mate and pups were lost to the blaze.
Shattered by years of torment and this new profound loss,
Kedar was left to wander once more. In this year of aimless
meandering, the she-wolf began to tail the Silver Dawn Pack.
She lived off the scraps of their kills long enough that they
slowly grew indifferent to her prescence, thus accepting her
into the fold. Seeing an opportunity at a new life, one with
promise, Kedar began her attempts at rising the ranks. Her
efforts were in vain, however. Any fight she started was lost,
and she remained the lowest ranked subordinate. Kedar longs
to know the warmth of companionship, in some capacity.
But she fears she wouldn't know it if it were to chew on her tail.

Feel free to contact me about relationships with Dante as well! The potential ideas I had in mind already are:
• rivalries
• a possible sibling/half-sibling, with a rather strained relationship considering all he cares about is his own standing
• a "marriage" out of convenience, where his only goal might have been to produce heirs, but once they've failed to for one reason or another, he's now clearly quite neglectful / distant due to his lack of interest in a romantic connection. This also has the potential for an "affair" plot, because Dante might not be a romantic but he would see the newcomer as a challenger. :]

i saw this (and was pondering and plotting)
but how would voronin do as dante's younger brother? their personalities
would clash enough for some good drama. [s]psst nuka and kovu[/s]
