Frankie walked around the small alleyway impatiently. Where was he? She checked her watch. 11:30pm. He had said to be there at 11:15. What was keeping him? Unless ... unless he had decided not to come.

"Frankie?"

"Devan!" she whirled around, eyes lighting up at the mere sight of him.

"My deepest apologies for being so late. The patrol men are everywhere, I had to sneak my way past them."

She put her arms around his cold neck and stoked his cheek. "It's fine, Devan, don't worry about it. I'd wait for you forever."

He sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you, Devan is not my name. I don't have a name."

She snuggled closer to his rock-hard body. "And how many times do I have to tell you that I don't care if you're a man or a robot or a magical fairy princess? I love you, no matter what."

He lifted a metal finger and with the gentlest touch, stroked her hair. "Magical fairy princess puts kind of a damper on my ego, don't you think?"

She laughed and reached her lips up to his. The touch was icy, and she felt a shiver go through his mechanical body as their lips met, but the kiss was genuine and real. In that moment, nothing else mattered. That moment belonged to love.

In a kingdom far, far away....
A beautiful female dog, son of the king, a plain drab gray male, the oldest of one of the poorest families in the kingdom.
Two very different dogs, two very different lives that come together somehow...

Jackson, a regular old gray dog is resting in the bushes to watch the beautiful King's daughter. He sighs, watching her fluttering feather wings ruffle and swish in the breeze as she sits on a bench to watch the life around her. About a dozen boy dogs surround her, offering her flowers, jewelery and other luxuries. Jackson sighs again. Why did she have to be so beautiful? Why did she have to be the king's daughter? Why did he have to be so poor? Why did he have to be so plain colored? He curses the universe and fate, as the sky darkens.
He sighs once more, he should probably get back home.
Just as he's leaving the bush, he hears a voice.
"Hey," a female's voice.
Jackson starts, and turns around abruptly. It's her. The king's daughter. Her eyes are filled with curiosity, concern and innocence.
"Who're you, I haven't seen you around." She wonders, tail swishing gently behind her. "You look kind of sad, what's wrong?" His heart gives a sudden whoosh at the sight and sound of her concern and compassion for him.
"Um..I...You probably wouldn't see me around your part of town..." he replies, sheepishly staring at the cobblestone pavement.
"Why is that so?" She asks politely, sapphire blue eyes sparkling in the sunset.
"Well...It's just that...you're the king's daughter. I'm...I'm..." He falters off, unsure of whether she should hear the truth.
"What?" Her face is so filled with concern, he decides the truth would be the best.
"I'm just...poor as dirt. And you're...you're the most beautiful girl in the kingdom. You're the king's daughter, too. You have a parade of guys that follow you offering you roses and diamonds and gold. I'm no one." He sighs, tail drooping.
"What? You're not no one." Her eyes sparkle and she takes a step closer. "I see you all the time around town. You take care of all your siblings alone. That takes a lot. You're not a no one to them."
The complement takes him aback.
"I...I didn't realize you saw me." He says, looking up into her genuinely kind eyes.
She shakes her head. "Nonsense. I see you all around town, at the vendors with your siblings. And by the fountain, reading. Or practicing in the fields behind the castle. I love watching you practice..." she says, dreamily.
His face burns. "Oh, really? Hm. I never caught your name..." he realizes suddenly.
"Me? Oh, I'm Radiance. Ray for short. What's your name?"
"I'm Jackson."
"I thought you were 'No-one'" she teases back playfully. "Just kidding. Nice to meet you, Jackson. Hope I'll see you around town again."
"You sure will." He promises. She gives him a farewell smile and trots off in the direction of the castle....

Sorry for the sudden, random and odd names everyone. I keep getting stuck on them so I went on a website with lots of baby names, the site says that Obadiah means servant of god, sounds pretty relevant to the story :3

Tahirah {-}---------------Obadiah {m}

The goddess, this year Tahirah the controller of earth, swooped down and sat at the prepared throane made especially for her. Her finger traced one of the golden vines carved into it before turning to the crowd of people that had a question, a wish, a desire, and it was her turn to listen.

She attempted at a smile before nodding to the king, the man stepped forward and bowed with a nervous smile. "Tahirah, it's been four years since we last saw you and as always it's a pleasure, you're much more peaceful than your other siblings."

Tahirah motioned for him to continue, to ask or say what he wanted.

The king, with another nervous smile took a steading breath, the slightest mistake and he might not be around to see his daughter get married the next morning. The enitre kingdom knew this risk, but they were willing to take it. "I would like the weather to be beautiful this summer, the last few have been, well, not very comfertable."

The goddess hid a smirk as she remembered the flood she had unleashed upon them. "The weather was bad becuase the prince wouldn't do what I had asked of him."

"Oh?" The king said, not hiding his suprise.

"Yes, I asked of him to name his first born Malachi, but he did not."

"B-But my son has not had any children yet!" The king sputtered in protest.

Tahirah looked at the king curiously, this was getting interesting. "Are you quiet so sure? If you looked in the prince's room I'm sure that you'll find both child and father." Wispers waved through the crowd as a handful of guards went to see if this was correct. The wispers turned into cries of outrage as the young prince came out with a boy at his side.

The king stared furiously at the crowd, making the wispers go silent. "Explain yourself my son! You have brought chaos to this kingdom!"

The prince looked at the boy and bowed his head, "His name is Obadiah." the words seemed to echo in the eerie silence.

Tahirah stood up from her throane, a plan forming in her mind. "I will forgive the kingdom so long as I can have the boy as my servant and you name the next son what I had asked of you before."

The prince cried out and hugged the boy closer, hot tears forming in his eyes. "No!" He screamed as the gaurds took the child from his hands and set him infront of the goddess.

Tahirah picked the boy up as the prince was dragged away towards the castle doors, "Now, what are your desires?" She asked. The day went by as person by person stepped forward, asking for rain, a good harvest, the creatures to stop eating their garden, some were of revenge and war. But the entire time the child was in her arms, the dark grey eyes studing her with intrest.
