"Come on, there's no harm in letting just one little virus in. Aren't you all lonely in here, all by yourself?"

So, I'm assuming this'll be the first of a few stories today, since I've been on some weird creating binge and want to make these instead of contests 'n' stuff. So--enjoy?~ |DD'

His foot tapped mechanically on the floorboards, head shifting lightly in the tune. The ship rose and feel in the succulent water, forcing sickness upon most crew members. But, after all, it was just him and two others. And the outlook wasn't the best for the others, but his mind kept singing.

Locked in a tower of violet,
Sealed in pink
Secluded in blue
And an amber with the brightest hue

The waves capsized on the boat, sloshing the upper deck. He should be taking measures--precautionary measures--but he wasn't quite feeling it. He wasn't about to stop the boat's jolly way of reaching the island just yet, for he knew it'd only slow them down.
And our mighty captain wouldn't be held back.

The eyes of the old, salty man kept focused out. Shouts were heard from above, screams, but he stayed below in the Captain's Quarters. "Captain! Captain!... Sirens, sirens!" His nose pointed due north, ignoring the comments. He wouldn't be swept away by a pretty girl's song. But it wafted down, sending shivers up his spine.

Tempt & Lure

He was perfect. But he was still. Unmoving. Encased.

She could not have saved him if she had tried.

She was a medic. The boy had been put under her care years ago. His parents could not let him go.

At first, he responded well to the treatment. He played games with her, as she sat on the side of his cot. He had enjoyed strategy games, and puzzles. He was a bright one.

Then, little by little, his body was siezed, held captive in his shell.

He could no longer talk to her in that sweet, innocent voice.

His eyes would never move to meet hers, deciphering her next move in chess.

His laugh would never again be infectious, the one thing all of the doctors never wanted him to be cured of.

But then, he went still.

"Tempie?"
"Yes darling?"
"Will you save me?"

"Yes."

As his parents caved away under sorrow, they could not take his life - or what was left of it - from him.

So now he lays, confined inside his own body, on a bed he will never leave.

"Will you save me?"
"Yes."

I am the green thumb. Why couldn't I save you?

Sleep tight, my Lure.

As soon as I saw little Lure my mind went to the story of King Midas and the golden and green thumbs.
These are not a romantic pair, but more of a sibling type bond that formed.

Prince Zuko(m) and Hou-ou(m)

They say that Hou-ou is one of the best fire wizards in the nation, if not the best. They say that he is so powerful, only the legendary phoenix itself could have possibly taught him. They say that the phoenix, as his teacher, bestowed upon him the secret of rebirth. They say that is why he has lived so long.

At least, that was what it said in Zuko's book. Zuko was a fire wizard himself. But he was only powerful enough to teach others. Others sought after him for his rank as a prince and heir to the Alpha's throne, not for his skills. Though they did know of them.

If only he could seek out this teacher. If only he could be his apprentice, even just for a day...

I had a whole story planned for these two, but I decided I didn't like it, so I just decided to keep this part.
