SolarClan is disbanding! They are going to transform into ShiningClan, a reboot of my very first clan. They will change to my second clan, non-hard mode. [changes approved by Katrione!] I will be keeping Fireblaze, Chivewhisker, Rustgaze, Degupaw, and the blank slate found in SolarClan's last reply into ShiningClan. I would like all other cats to be presumed dead.

ShiningClan was a clan of honor, at least before they scattered and the clan was disbanded. Many moons went by without a trace of the former ShiningClan, each living member finding a new home in foreign lands. For one cat, one who left family and friends behind in their old clan back when the Clan was still thriving and hearty, they feel lost. They tried to go back to their home, to rejoin a clan they once left, only to hear stories that clan was run out of town, that the clan was no more as of many, many moons ago. Still, the former ShiningClan warrior seeks to re-establish the once great clan, to reconnect with their roots and bring families together once more.

To uphold the natural order and law of the world - that has always been and will continue to be ShiningClan's motto. They are typical in that they strongly honor and follow the warrior code, not trusting any morally gray cat or those that seek to disobey clan laws. ShiningClan cats are all just warriors who seek peace, unless someone is crossing the line. They are often loyal to a fault. They believe in StarClan, where their ancestors guide them often.

The territory of ShiningClan is much like it was in the very beginnings, back when the current leader was a warrior. They live in an abandoned Twoleg building, though much bigger than the one they remember. In Twoleg terms, it is an old summer camp, abandoned for over twenty years on a dirt road that not many cars frequent. To the clan, it is a safe haven where not many Twolegs frequent, a bit of hope in the area that ShiningClan lives. Fields stretch across the north, east, and west portions of the territory, and a forest lies to the west. To the north lies stretching fields utilized by Twoleg farmers for hay, a dangerous area for kits. The east, across a hay field, lies a Twoleg farm and more Twoleg dwellings. The barn cats are often skittish and wary of the clan cats, but some may pose a threat. The horses are not often friendly either, but the barn offers a place to hunt many mice. To the south end of the territory lies a busy Thunderpath that not many ShiningClan cats dare cross, for fear of getting attacked by a monster. Occasional sounds from the Thunderpath may reach the camp, something that the cats have learned to live with.

The prey of ShiningClan is typical - Chipmunk, rat, hare, songbird, bat, and robin.
The predators of ShiningClan are badgers, foxes, Twolegs and their monsters (both cars and tractors), an occasional aggressive deer, birds of prey, dogs, and other cats.

Number of Cats: 1 | Next Starclan Visit: In 1 post | Pebbles: 20 | Mod: Here

Lionstar pushed her way through the pine trees. She was careful about the pine needles. Sniffing the air, she walked and found an empty clearing. Lionstar saw this as a new home! She prepared each den, moving rocks to shape dens and putting moss on and in the dens. She dug holes for piles of herbs to go in the medicine den. She then fell asleep in her den, tired from working on putting her territory together. When Lionstar woke up, she continued working. Pushing more boulders and rocks took a lot of energy, and after hours of pushing she made a boulder to be her Clan meeting rock. She took a nap and then woke and went onto a patrol to gather food for her Clan.

Arroyoclan welcomes Rain and Sandy. Rain had apparently heard of the clan and specifically sought them out to join them. Sandy, their estranged mate, had followed them, not knowing their exact purpose. Sunstar is happy to welcome both cats, but Sandy is uncomfortable around the clan and on rocky terms with Rain, and doesn't intend to stay. However, Sunstar offers to let her stay at least until she can deliver her kits, which she accepts. Rain is promoted to warrior and accepts the name Rainwillow.

She knew she should have never left her friends, her family. The only clan she ever knew. But she was young, and perhaps a bit naïve about the world around her. Sorrelbreeze wasn't born in the clan, and that's why she decided to leave - at least, that's what she tried to tell herself for years when she first abandoned her clan. The others all had their families surrounding them, and the clan felt tight knit. Where was she going to belong? The answer should have been plainly clear to her, that she had her friends and had found and made her own family in ShiningClan, but again... maybe she was too young, too immature to truly appreciate that. Instead, she had to live with the choices she made when she was barely warrior aged, just out of her apprenticeship.

It had been a tough journey, ever since she left ShiningClan. No cats, it seemed, were as friendly as her old clan. None wanted to even try to help her, her scent and demeanor too 'clan-like,' even years after she had left her clan behind her. They were all she could think about, and she tried to find them again, she truly did. But she found her old home destroyed by a fire, her family and friends' scents scattered and stale, if there at all. She wandered, seemingly without purpose, as a loner for a long time afterwards, until she found their new home... still, without any of the cats she left behind.

ShiningClan's old barn seemed freshly used. Sorrelbreeze called out into the wind, hoping that they were all just hiding. "Hello?" She tried to keep her voice steady, the anxiety and hope creeping into her prosody all in one. "Is anyone here? It's me, Sorrelbreeze! I've come back!" But the whistle of the wind was all she got, even as she searched every inch of that barn. She wasn't sure what had happened to the old ShiningClan, and she would never find out. It was time to travel again.

Sorrelbreeze let her paws take her to random locations for many moons, wishing and hoping for some kind of sign of her old clan. By the time she had reached an abandoned Twoleg building, so reminiscent of her old home, she had all but given up trying to find cats she knew. Instead, she had steeled herself to rebuild her old clan herself, to give other cats a place to call home just like she should have had and should have stayed with. ShiningClan was reborn again, rising from the ashes with Sorrelstar as its new leader.

It felt daunting, being by myself. Of course, I should be used to it now, right? Well, I can't say I ever actually got used to being alone. I wanted to hear Bramblepond's jokes, to smell the fresh herbs of the medicine den, to hear Scorchstar shuffle about his den as he prepared to assign patrols, to hear Cricketheart laugh with the queens and play with the kits while he made sure the clan was running smoothly. It's been hard without them, but it's my fault for leaving. I've learned from my mistakes, and I will never leave my clan again.

My mind wanders a lot, but I've been my only company for so long, after all. But it seemed my luck was about to change, much much sooner than I thought. I saw cats, cautiously sniffing around the Twoleg buildings I had claimed for a camp. Surely my scent markers would have been strong, but there were a lot of them here. I knew I had to be cautious too. I stayed back, calling out to them. "Hi there," I greeted, offering a light smile to the new cats. "Can I help you?"

The biggest among the small gathering of cats, a fluffy tabby that almost reminded me of Scorchstar's mate, Firesong, turned and jumped, looking embarrassed as he blinked. "Uhh... sorry to trespass," he stammered a bit, clearly on edge. It didn't seem entirely from trespassing, something else occupying his mind. "I'm Fireblaze, and these are Rustgaze, Chivewhisker, Owlfrost, and my daughter, Degupaw. We were... just in the area and noticed your... markings. They seemed fresh, and..." he trailed off, unsure of where he was going with his story.

"No need to fret," I smiled wider, allowing myself to take a few steps closer to the cats. "You must be from a clan! Hello! I actually just established this clan here, so its nice to meet you. I'm Sorrelstar." I could see Fireblaze visibly relax, a look of relief crossing his face.

"Wonderful," he breathed, flicking his tail across the head of the smallest, who must've been his daughter that he mentioned. "We were actually looking for a new clan to live in. Our old one..." Fireblaze trailed off again, and the other four cats looked away as well.

I pressed my nose lightly into Fireblaze's fur, a sign of comfort, I hoped. "You don't need to say anymore. I understand. If you are looking for a clan, I would gladly welcome you with open paws into ShiningClan. Make yourselves at home."

the two mollies had recently gotten close as of the last few moons; shiningflower was a newer member of deathclan and cobaltface had offered to show her around, since she had been a part of the clan for awhile at that point. shiningflower was mentoring a young apprentice named koipaw that cobaltface could not look at without feeling a pain in her chest, because the small cat had the exact same haunting eyes that her own ironkit had (who had been stillborn). cobaltface had been seen kind of skirting around the training area to watch koipaw and shiningflower, and after a few weeks of this, the other warrior had approached her as she watched from the shadows and started a dialogue. ever since that day, aside from when they were put on different patrols, the caliby molly and the oriental molly were always at each other's sides, even when they were sleeping at night; cobaltface had moved her nest to be next to shiningflower in the den. so when everything fell apart in their clan, and fireclan cats came pouring into the deathclan camp, the two mollies knew that they had no choice but to run if they wanted to survive. it broke both of their hearts to leave koipaw behind, but there wasn't time to grab the apprentice, and shiningflower had spotted her apprentice being swept away by one of of his siblings, so she hoped and prayed that he would be safe.

the two mollies had finally stopped running when they were far outside of the fireclan/deathclan territory that they had known, and spent several weeks wandering - kind of aimlessly - through the forests. one night, they found a clearing filled with tall grasses, and felt safe enough to curl up among the green stalks for a quick sleep before they moved again, since they could curl up together while being safely hidden from sight (except from the birds flying overhead that is). however, things weren't exactly easy from there, when the two rogues were rudely awoken in the early morning hours of the next day by a young cat - quite literally - tripping over their sleeping bodies. immediately, cobaltface and shiningflower stood back to back with pinned ears and bared teeth, as the surprised cry from the little tortoiseshell had drawn the attention of her companions, a group of about a dozen cats or so, who swiftly surrounded the pair as they attempted to gather what had happened.

"kabuto, whats wrong?" came a gruff voice as a fluffy tom-cat pushed through the grass to her side gently pushing the small molly to her paws as she shook the dirt off her coat. "nothing, i'm fine stoudland. i just tripped over these two cats; it's my own fault, i raced off without paying attention. i'm very sorry." her green eyes softened apologetically as she looked at the pair whose sleep she had disturbed. their guard was still up, which caused this 'stoudland' to let out a hiss of warning at their tense body language, clearly protecting his younger friend. "hey now,no reason for violence stoutland. these two were clearly just awoken in an uncomfortable way; i'm sure you'd be grumpy too if someone stepped on your tail while you slept." a third voice spoke, this one coming from a kind looking tabby and white tom, who approached the pair with gentle eyes. "we apologize for startling you two, but i promise you our apprentice meant no harm, she just gets eager and excitable sometimes. i'm dialga, one of the leader's of pocketclan. may I ask your names?" always being the more protective of the pair, shiningflower took a step in front of her partner as she spoke, her olive green eyes locked on the pale green eyes of this tom, while cobaltface continued to glance between the other cats. "i am shiningflower, and this is my partner cobaltface. we don't trust easily, but we are tired and worn from being on our own for too long. our old clan was attacked unexpectedly, and all were scattered. we cannot guarantee we will stay with you forever, but we would like the shelter of your company for at least a little while, if we may."

about a moon had passed since they first came to this pocketclan, and for the most part they were both adjusting well. they no longer had their old deathclan names, and had been renamed in the traditional pocketclan naming style; shiningflower had become floette, and cobaltface had become whimsicott. the only thing that the pair were still a bit nervous about, was that they realized four of these pocketclan cats were actually originally from fireclan and had arrived perhaps a moon or so before the mollies had. luckily, none of them had ever seen each other before and the fireclan cats didnt recognize the deathclan mollies, so whimsicott and floette didn't bring up the name of their old clan. they had said that things had ended badly but they were unwilling/uncomfortable talking in more detail about it, and everyone seemed to respect that. it seemed that this new chance at life had struck a cord in both mollies, causing them to realize that the relationship between them had kindled/sparked into something more than friendship long before, but both of them had been hiding from the truth of this reality. it wasn't more than a few more weeks before they went to dialga and palkia, informing their new clan leader's of their mateship. they had been narvous about how clan would feel about them being two mollies in love with each other, but thankfully they received a warm welcome from the entire group, making them feel even more confident in the choice they made to stay.
