오랜만이에요. 저는 열심히 심리학 공부하고 있어요.
이 년에 친구가 많이 만들고 있어요.
그런데 공부하기 어려워요. 숙제가 너무 많이 있고 일어나기 어려워요.
여러분, 이 년에 잘 하고 있어요?

Edit:
I just searched through the history of this thread to see how much progress I've made or if I'm barely better at Korean now than I was years ago.
Well, I've definitely gotten better even if I'm still not that good XD This post from 2017 was quite the doozy!
Kiyomice wrote:I haven't studied Korean in a long time, so I'm going to type some sentences and hope they're correct lol.
1. 나는 피곤해요.
2. 오늘은 아름답다.
3. 저는 미국에서 독일까지 움직임 있어요.
I'm pretty sure the last sentence is incorrect in some way. It's the longest sentence I've ever written x'D.
Can anyone tell me if those sentences are right? This topic is such a great place to practice in!

Good to see you again and glad that you are keep studying Korean.
Still there are few things awkward but I will comment the most important one.
'this year' is 올해.
And for advanced, 'next year' is 내년.
그래 그때 나는 잘 몰랐었어
우린 다른 점만 닮았고
철이 들어 먼저 떨어져 버린
너와 이젠 나도 닮았네
젊은 우리, 나이테는 잘 보이지 않고
찬란한 빛에 눈이 멀어 꺼져가는데

Hello! I am learning Korean and I'd say I am at the far end of a beginner? I am not confident enough to say I am intermediate haha. Anyways, I go to a small Korean grocery store and a cashier there appreciates it when I speak Korean. I want to speak beyond hello and how are you, really show her I am serious about the language and surprise her! I was wondering if anyone could shoot a few phrases for I guess a small store? Such as asking price, quantity, or where something is located? I found a few articles and my teacher gave me advice but I've been meaning to participate here more often so figured I'd give it a shot!
Oh also I read Hangul so I'd prefer without the romanization unless you guys are adding it for other readers thanks!

Hi and thanks for loving Korean.
Let's get straight to the point.
I'll show you some examples.
B is for beginner, I is for intermediate, A is for advanced
Price
Ex. B - 얼마예요? (How much is it?)
Ex. I - 다 해서 얼마예요? (How much is it in total?)
Ex. A - 파 한 단에 얼마예요? (How much is the green onion?)
Location
Ex. B - 어디 있어요? (Where is it?)
Ex. I - 신라면은 어디에 있어요? (Where is Shin Ramen?)
For the unit, most of the time '개' works.
Ex. B - 사과 한 개 (An apple)
Ex. B - 칫솔 다섯 개 (Five toothbrushes)
You can use '개' even though the correct unit is not '개'.
Ex. I - 계란 한 알 -> 계란 한 개 (An egg)
Ex. I - 우유 두 팩 -> 우유 두 개 (Two cartons of milk)
However, if you are in the stage of learning Korean, the other person may think that the grammar is simply wrong, not knowing that you intend it.
Extra round
Ex. I - 참기름도 팔아요? (Do you sell sesame oil, too?)
Ex. A - 떡볶이 만들고 싶은데 뭐 뭐 사야 돼요? (I want to make tteokbokki. What should I buy?)
그래 그때 나는 잘 몰랐었어
우린 다른 점만 닮았고
철이 들어 먼저 떨어져 버린
너와 이젠 나도 닮았네
젊은 우리, 나이테는 잘 보이지 않고
찬란한 빛에 눈이 멀어 꺼져가는데
