What if the first pack, the inhabitant pack, lives in a nice, sunshiny part of the forest, where birds are singing and food is plentiful, while the invading pack lives in a darker gloomier part of the forest with not much prey and no bird calls other than the eerie call of crows. They also have a cave. This could also contribute to our plot. The invading pack might have captured the alpha of the inhabitant pack because they need a better place to live so they decide to kidnap the alpha of the inhabitant pack, and force the inhabitant pack to surrender and give up their territory to the invading pack or else say goodbye to their "precious alpha". Also should we give the packs like, names or just keep them the way they are?

Oh my god I love that. I think names would be handy so we don't have to say inhabitant and invading pack all the time. For the inhabitant pack, we could name it the Sunleaf pack, and the invading pack, the Blightwood pack
