i have never heard of the film The Cove whats it about?

i beleive it shows how Japanese fish dolphins. It's like cowboys rounding up horses, they chase the dolphins in boats towards the shore where there are people waiting for them. then they slaughter them, i think. im not 100% sure, but that's a nice summary

ahh thats sounds really sad i am quite emotionl so im not sure if i would be able to watch it without crying its so sad that they do it

macy132 is exactly right, they show how they bring the dolphins into The Cove (they do this by banging a metal rod thing that is attached to the boat with a hammer, which scares the dolphins) and it talks about the japanse and the killing and all that stuff.
Yeah I don't think I could watch it without crying~

Yeah it really is
The person who created The Cove documentary, well he owns the Save Japan Dolphins organization, which is the organization I gave (raised) $600 to! I got a really nice card saying how nice that donation was. I also got his book called "Behind the Dolphin Smile" which I guess is smiliar to The Cove....Anyways I really hope the dolphin slaughter stops someday!

me to i really hope it stops as we talk about them now when they are still here but soon it will be 'do you remember dolphins or whales?' i would hate to grow up and know that my children wouldn't be able to see them

Yeah thats a good point animalveg, but I don't think dolphins (and hope!) will go extinct because they do have children and 'repopualte'. But That is a good point, and I wold love for it to stop. But with the movie The Cove they were putting a lot of pressure on Japan, which is good so they may stop. And in an episode of Blood Dolphin$ they started the 'dolphin drives' later which is also a good sign. Maybe if we keep the pressure on them, they will have to stop!
