Leonora is truly the jewel of her family's crown. Having been raised since birth to be the perfect
aristocratic daughter she has devoted herself to learning the ways of the upper class and doing
whatever it took to make sure her family were proud of her. Leo has known the Purcells as long
as she can remember and was a close friend of Annalise during their childhood, the two haven't
seen one another since they were a lot younger so Leo is looking forward to getting to see her
old friend once more. She finds herself quite excited to go to the ball as she hasn't been able
to attend one for quite a while due to her father's failing health. Things have not improved
too much at home but you can always count on Leo to put on the perfect facade for the sake
of her family. Leonora is somewhat of a romantic and has long held the dream of a handsome
husband and a closely knit family. Though Leo knows she would never be able to choose her
own suitor, that decision would likely be down to her father and with his health failing, the
choice will have to be made soon, the ball serves as Leo's last appearance on the social circuit.

Leonora stands at a grand total of 5'3" but does not let this bother her, she has a slight figure
with soft curves. Her hair is a light golden blonde which falls in waves to her waist enhancing
her honey coloured eyes. Leo is soft-spoken and always tries her best to be polite, she's taken
etiquette lessons as long as she's been talking and they definitely paid off. She's always lived
a rather sheltered life and due to being away from the social circuit as long as she has Leo can
come across as being a little naive, she hasn't had the chance to experience the real world all
that much and it shows! Leo has never been given the freedom to explore what she wants for
her life, she has always been told what the next step would be for her and so she's never really
considered that she would be able to be anything except the wife of a man her father chose.

Rowan and his parents lived a relatively quiet life on their farm in Scotland.
Both of his parents were his teachers: his father taught him how to work hard
with his hands, and his mother valued academics, linguistics, and manners
above all else. He can wield a sword (though less common nowadays) as well
as a quill. They raised him to be have a sharp mind and a gentle heart.
Nevertheless, he is stubborn when he thinks he is right yet loyal to those who
have earned his love and trust. He would do anything for you if you asked.

Everything changed for Rowan when both of his parents died of influenza
when he turned fifteen. There was only the farm left in his name, and a
title that he had no knowledge of . . . until a certain Scottish constable
appeared at the gates of the farm one September morning, bidding Rowan
to come at once to Edinburgh for the execution of a distant relative's will.
This relative, come to find out, was a Jacobite sympathizer who frequently
travelled overseas to America for refuge. There, he was acquainted with
the Purcell family patriarch and kept in his good spirits. The will granted
Rowan, the relative's eldest male descendant, his title and claims as Earl.
The title itself held little authority, but the lands owned under the name
granted Rowan great agricultural wealth. With the surplus of grains each
year, Rowan funded breweries across the land he owned, allowing his
tenants to make their own profit. Much of the exports were shipped to
New York, the Purcells being on the Exclusive Buyers' list. More whiskey!
