Personally I would say that isn’t fair because the store giraffe alone is worth 20c$, and each 2021 rare is worth around 3c$, but please correct me if I am wrong!

I agree with this.
The giraffe is 20 c$ and so only 10 c$ are left for all these rares from 21, which cannot be fair.

I just want to say that I'd personally value 2021 rares at 4-5 c$ each as I have sold them for that much plenty of times. so this is unfair to you

the first trade is definitely unfair to them, as a 2017 store pet is only worth a mid 09 rare, which is something between 45-55 c$
the 2020 store pet is worth 22-25 c$, so in totally they would only need to add 67-80 c$

the second trade is unfair to them.
the griffon is only worth a mid 09 rare, which is a late 09 rare + a 10 uncommon
the 2020 store pet is worth a mid 10 rare
the 2021 store pet is worth a late 10 rare
they are overpaying.

You’re actually overpaying! The 2018 store pets go for an 09 rare each so all you would need is the 09 VR (which equals 2 09 Rares), the beta fish, and the 2 2010 Rares (2:1 rules makes it fair). Everything else is extra.
