Chime inhabits a beautiful perennial garden, caring for each plant as a gardener and pollinating them alongside her flock of Anna's Hummingbirds. Due to her fast metabolism, Chime takes frequent siestas to rest and eat. Her "bedroom," if you could call it that, is an upturned flower pot resting on a worn old workbench. Inside is a deck of cards bed, the tail end of a strand of fair lights, and assorted trinkets, dried herbs, and other odds and ends that decorate the cluttered space. Chime squeezes in and out though a chip near the lip, which sufficiently windproof the shelter, but the opening in the top lets in sunlight and rain alike. [113]
