[Aristaeus, Alistair, Eurydice & Leander // Lightning Hunters // Tagging: Kin, Storm, Toby, Axis]
Aristaeus took notice of Storm's presence beside him as he walked, and taking that as sign to step up for the group he swung his head to look at his brothers, flicking his tail to gesture Leander closer, but before he could say anything he noticed Toby approaching with Axis not far behind, and slowed his pace, briefly lowering his skull in a manner of due respect and then speaking up. "With our numbers today, not counting Axis, we have a pretty good chance of taking down a bull elk. I say our two quickest hunters, Eurydice and Alistair go up first and slow it down, grab its forelegs, Toby and Leander can grip the hind legs to keep it from running or kicking. I'll get it at the head or antlers to expose its neck, and Storm can go in for the kill." He spoke with certainty but looked to Toby for approval to his plan, sound as it was.
Alistair's ears pricked up at the lead hunters' arrival and he loped forward to greet him and Axis, his ears bent behind him to take note of what Aristaeus was saying. "You brought Axis?" He hadn't been paying adapt attention in the morning when Ambrose had ordered a warrior to come with them, so e approached Axis with a friendly note of questioning. "Does this mean the Fire pack's been pushing into the hunting ground?" His voice gave way to nerves, but a soft jeer from Eurydice regarding their enemies settled him back down.
Eurydice had been eyeing Storm in irritation almost the whole walk after the argument, but his view was blocked by the majority of Aristaeus's figure, and he soon let it go. It was to be figured out later, but there was no need to fight now. Besides, they were about to have a common enemy anyway- Eurydice's ears pricked up as he heard bull elk- such a meal was quite appealing already, even if it was only fabricated for the time being.
Leander had paid little mind to the group now, veering close enough to listen in on the conversation but with his ears pricked outward for the sound of a herd, and his head bent low to scent along the ground. In his opinion, talking lead to bickering, and bickering lead to injuries and herbs wasted. So he retained a quiet focus on their surroundings idly, waiting for everything to settle and the group to start moving again. He was so focused that- while he'd noticed Toby, Axis's presence completely slipped by him.
