Staff Litter 2021 Discussion Thread

Today is the day that means something only to me.

I've had an awful time of it since July, so forgive a lack of story this year, there's just been no spark in me. But, yes, tonight's outcome - which, he's a gator - is mine.
I requested that he grow on the anniversary of Steve Irwin's death as a nod to a root of what has made me today. Animals and conservation - if it isn't obvious - has been incredibly important to me, and he's part of what helped that grow.

I chose an alligator for a couple of reasons. I saw a bunch in Texas, and thought it'd be a neat experiment to make one for CS. I also watched a video of Robert Irwin feeding the gators, and he mentioned that his dad described them as "frogs with teeth" so long as they're well-fed. His eyes are a stark red, not because of any hint of evil, but that's quite literally the color that they glow in the dark. He also has a little bit of "swamp stink", which... In my story, he protects the bogs from contamination or development. That's his camouflage, but it gets perceived the wrong way.

He also... Doesn't really have a name this year. I wasn't creative enough to come up with one, I'm sorry. Maybe you guys can name him?

Thankyou for another amazing outcome this year Desmond! Was trying to think of a way you'd negateor this one now he's grown but that the confirmation is bittersweet. Personally I was thinking of naming mine Sobek/Sebek (or even Ammit) as soon as I saw him, but his name obviously translates as "Steve" in CS-speak

First time commenter (in staff litter discussion threads, anyway), long time lurker, and I'm gonna make it a guess. Brave? Maybe. XD Foolish? Probably.

I think the new TV bab is Celozon's.


Looser/not as solid reasons: (Going off the hint chart collection of hints)

- It's a 'pretty cool' design.

- There's not many, but a lot (majority) of Celozon's pets are purple/pink based, and this one is green. Can be seen here. (Yes, I have my pets all sorted into artist designs, because I plan on trying this staff litter guessing thing with more accuracy lol). Different colour from the norm.

- The static of the screen doesn't show a picture or anything clearly, so enigmatic to a fault.

- When do most people watch TV? Nighttime.

- They have no opinion on food or clothing and have no concept of age, as they are a TV. They show lots of the same things, but are always objective. i.e. enigmatic lol.

- Powers they refuse to 'show'? As in TV show?

- There are lineart edits- literally, the lines break haha.

- We can't see the nose, so it could be any colour.

My main reason for guessing:

Celozon's style. It's all dots and pixely stuff almost. With the referral to past ideas and themes. Going back past the last staff litter (2020), the cats from the general helper litters all have the same style.

There's less 'pixel-ly' features on this dog, but it's face is literally pixels. lol Also referring to this cats specifically, 'sparkly stickers on the face'. There's a lot of dots (sparkles) on the faces, and the most recent one has a screen looking binary code/glasses, but it could be a sticker?

Anyway, here goes!!!

This one isn't mine, my previous hints actually remove it as a possibility ^^ I don't think it was very added to the hint chart, but Ialready confirmed earlier that I do have a repeat theme this year that I've done before on a staff pet, but that theme is not reptile, or robo/cyber. Robo is the closest this one would fit with, so its not this one (I do really like this pup though!).

I won't be confirming or denying any others though till my hints are all figured out, considering its already been narrowed down a lot.

From looking at Aaron's cats for the GH litters I'm going to take a wild guess and say this is Aaron's.



Mainly because of the line and colouring also the coloured CS tag.

Also to me it doesn't really resemble a dog and Aaron said it was the first "dog"

So @Aaron✦ am I close or far off?

I'm confused, the hint chart is missing a lot of pets (that I assume are claimed). I can't check to see if they have names, this baffles me. The only grown one I can see is the TV pup because that one isn't claimed yet.
