I don't want to come across as combative, because honestly this kind of comment just bums me out. The rules are clearly defined on page one regarding what is "trashing" the artists and what isn't, and I can't say I saw any comments breaking those rules. Personally, if I was an artist for CS, I'd be
looking for the "aw, I was hoping for ___" posts so I could keep those breeds in mind for the next random collection of free designs I wasn't obligated to do.

It's likely the tail was shaved so that their prey had nothing to grab them by, or it was kept shaved to give the gamesmen a good grip on this important "handle" to grab their dog by! If you've never seen a working dog at work, it's hard to pull them off of the hunt.
That makes sense! When I see ear puffs and the legs left long, it makes me think of the classic poodle cut which was meant to protect the dog from cold water. So they need their tail covered too. But I guess the source of my error is right there in the name, lol: Bedlington

Although in light of them being vermin hunters, it's interesting that the tail isn't docked like, for instance, the rat terrier or the mini Schnauzer.
