How do they spend a summer evening?:

Vivian loves to go out onto their porch, every evening really, and get all comfy in a lawn chair of theirs and read a nice book! Her porch’s decor changes seasonally, but there’s always fairy lights strung about everywhere! Usually a calm, faded yellow. Vivian has amassed quite the collection of books, ranging from sci-fi to mystery, and each season has their set of books Vivian reads! Her mini-library is very organized and oh boy, if any of it gets unorganized she’ll spend the next few days taking everything out, fixing any damages, and putting them all back in their rightful places. She’s obsessed with the upkeep of her books.

In the summers she reads mysteries and such, as well as horror and books that have been turned into movies just to watch the movies and quietly complain about the discrepancies between them and how she imagines them differently! Don’t even ask her about the Hunger Games movies unless you really want an earful, cause she’ll sure give you one! Boy, does she spite those movies. She loves to invite her friends over to read, let her read aloud to them, or watch the movies with her! They’d just have to put up with her quiet complaints over the differences between books and movies and have to deal with the sound of the woods.

She loves leaving her windows cracked so she can hear the cicadas, crickets, and other various noises running rampant in the woods. Sometimes she’s even fallen asleep outside, always waking up to the blaring sun and panicking hoping her book, or books, survived the night unscathed. It’s like her own personal horror story when she accidentally messed up a book, or even sees a messed up book. She doesn’t even bother with school libraries, it’s always a gloomy graveyard. At any given chance, she’ll try to save them!

It’s rare seeing Vivian with no books on her, and if you do, she’s most likely on her way to pick up some. Every book needs its own happy ending, even if the story doesn’t end so happily.

How do they spend a summer evening?

Mira looked at the dusky summer sky. She sat down with a glass of iced lavender tea. She adored the sky like this. In the transition from blue to pink to deep purple. She had also made cookies to eat while she watched the stars and eat (lavender suger cookies.) she took her cookies out to cool and picked up a small book (probably on plants or a folktale.) She ate her cookies, drank her tea and read, in perfet bliss. She did this almost every summer night sometimes switing the cookies for smoresor bisucuts, and the tea for juice or lemonaide.

Lyra sat in the meadow and watched as the final rays of light faded away with the setting sun. She wrapped her soft blanket around herself as a cool breeze blew through the field, causing the wildflowers around her to sway gently. It was a perfect, cloudless night, with a thin crescent moon hanging in the sky. Fireflies flew in lazy circles above her, their lights twinkling. She lay down and closed her eyes, listening to the melodious cricket song that rang out across the meadow. When she opened them again, the sky was filled with stars.

Her eyes widened at the sight of them. She'd seen the night sky countless times before, but it never ceased to take her breath away. Thousands of shining stars, all of them hundreds of light years away. These were the same stars that kalons had been admiring for generations, finding patterns and weaving them into their mythology. Lyra looked for these patterns now, using the knowledge she'd acquired from hours spent poring over star charts. With each constellation came a story, and Lyra knew them all by heart.

The stars were beautiful, but they were frightening, too. There were so many of them, and they were all so big, and so far away. As Lyra stared at the sky, she was overcome with vertigo. She felt as though she was falling upwards into the neverending void of space, where she would stay, drifting aimlessly, until the end of time.

But it never happened. Instead, she remained grounded in the quiet meadow. She allowed herself to take a deep breath, focusing on the world around her. Her blanket was soft, the crickets were chirping, and the air smelled faintly of wildflowers. She reminded herself over and over again that she was exactly where she needed to be.

How do they spend a summer evening?

Luna's favorite thing to do on a summer evening is walk to her favorite grassy field and watch the sunset. She loves finding a nice spot in the high grass to curl up and relax as the evening air turns cool and the breeze causes the grass around her to sway. When the sun sets and the fireflies come out to dance she is at her happiest.

how do they spend a summer evening?
the evening was fading and the field was glowing under the pale sunset. a cool summer breeze moved the grasses in an unique harmony. it was a beautiful sight with the colors cascading upon each other and an entire expanse of the night behind it all. but, her eyes flickered throughout, darting from one color to the next. she could only focus on the notes echoing throughout her mind, a silent melody made from the colors around her. drawing back her bow, vesta drew in a breathe and placed her bow onto the violin. she would echoed back the song, always lagging behind a few notes. it was a duo performance for her yet only one could truly be heard by an outsider.

for her, her synesthesia causes every color to be heard as a certain note. the warm colors of the sunset produced the lower notes for her to play, and the cooler colors of the grasses and night sky behind her were the higher notes. each area has its own melody that differs from each other, but the sunsets and its glow upon the fields are always what excites her to play. the setting sun and the fading light produced notes of that were varied yet remained a consistent melody. it was different as her fingers played each note that her eye landed upon.

the sunset provided a constant challenge for her as it kept on setting upon the horizon. the colors were slowly but surely changing as was her music. the soft glow upon the cool grass was fading and the music was heading to the higher end. so, that meant the sunset was nearing its end, the colors were shifting towards the cooler colors. with a final cascade of notes, she found herself finished. the only things left from the sunset were a few stray low notes blended into the high, and that was the end of the sunset symphony for that evening at least.
