▸ The Constellions consume one squirrel (2 servings)
▸Orion stops by the moonpool for a few heartbeats then is joined by Nova for a border patrol.
▸▸As they dip their nose down and feel the cool water lap at it, they ask their ancestors with great
respect to send a cat to be their right-paw cat and stand side by side with them to lead their group
before leaving to patrol for new whiskers, mildly surprised at Nova's appearance.
▸▸Nova calmly sits outside the entrance to the moonpool, leaning against a tree before perking
up and rising at the sound of pawsteps. She didn't say anything to her leader and joined them
on a patrol, knowing how they wanted their clan to grow in paws, but not sure herself how she
feels about the thought of more mouths to feed before shaking off the thought.

▸Solar Flare and his newly-named apprentice Eclipse go on a hunting patrol to train
and hunt at the same time, killing two birds with one stone (Metaphorically of course)!
▸▸Eclipse still seems wary of the new cats but is very grateful for the older Tom's knowledge, even
engaging in idle conversation and smiling at the wisecracks, feeling more at ease than before.

↪ confident with the battle party she chose, bramblestorm yowls for everyone to ambush the fox as soon as it came into sight. the predator
proved far too cunning for the irisclan cats, and while they managed to drive it away, it wasn't without loss...
- rushstream, in a panic, got tangled underneath the fox's legs and was scratched along the back as a result. luckily the was minor enough that
he'll only need +1 cobwebs.

- as rushstream hobbled to receive care from snowfinch, the fox wasn't keen on letting the tom go. it rushed past the battle party, surprising
them all, and snatched rushstream by the scruff when it got close enough. instinctively, snowfinch snapped forward and clawed at the fox's
muzzle so it could let her clanmate go, only for the creature to turn its sights on her instead as it released the warrior. before anyone could
react, it latched its jaws around her throat and sunk its teeth in with no remorse. with a yowl of anger, horizonstar rushed into action and
clawed her enemy until it let her medicine cat go. she didn't want to think about how the white-furred molly fell limp to the floor, or the sudden
wave of pain she felt in her belly as the fox slammed her down and bit. she could barely hear everyone else finish the job and send the fox
screaming as she drifted into unconsciousness and lost her first life. as she floated in limbo, horizonstar thought she could see snowfinch's
form walk away from her. the medicine cat turned back, sorrow in her pink eyes, and then picked up her pace once more...

↪ snowpaw had been attempting some hunting techniques into a burrow, but soon became claustrophobic the further she got inside. she began
to thrash in panic, shifting some of the loose soil and getting herself more stuck. dewleap wasn't ready to leave his apprentice alone, not wanting
irisclan to suffer the loss of another young cat so soon after twilightpaw. he squeezed after her, pushing the molly forward until she escaped
she escaped through an opening, all while refusing to let her know that the burrow was quickly collapsing around his larger size. when she got
out, her relief was short lived as she felt the collapse at her heels. she screeched for dewleap, her yowl alerting the other cats on patrol, and they
all started digging. unfortunately, they recovered the warrior's body too late...

↪ the kittypet sir and his patrol ended was stuck outside his twoleg home, pawing at the door and calling out to his owners to open the door for
him. annoyed by the noise, sir ordered his patrol to jump the fence and hide out of his sight, attacking once sir made the first move. jade was
the most reluctant to join, and she didn't want to think about what thorn and swift thought of all this, being former clan cats and all. the fight, if
jade could call it that, was brutal and violent - the kittypet had no chance of winning even if he fought one rogue alone. jade issued a few blows of
her own, but not enough compared to the others, and sir noticed. pushing the weakened kittypet before her, sir ordered her to deliver the killing
blow, which she did reluctantly by a bite to the neck. satisfied, sir ordered everyone away, ignoring how jade lagged behind as she struggled to cope

she wasn't sure what compelled her to ask for his name, but his final words were that his name was weed, and that all he wanted was to go home.

- after pulling the curlclan warrior away, they then moved their onslaught to sugarfoot, who put up a fight thanks to her past as a clan warrior.
she at last met her match when her opponent got his claws in her throat...

- goldenflower suffered a minor nick on her nose before she fled with the others, needing +1 raspberry leaf.

with practiced ease, only suffering a bite to the leg, and grabbed it to carry back to the rest of her patrol's prey cache. halfway back to their
meeting place, cicadastar's limbs seized and she fell to the floor, gasping for breath as her heart pounded in her ears. she felt another life slip
away as her vision blacked out and later awoke to her hunting party crowded around her in a concerned circle - poor waterfreckle apologizing
profusely for leading her to catch the snake.

↪ sorrelwhisker and her patrol froze in terror as they heard a bark in the distance, one that quickly grew too close for their liking. with his
attuned hearing, skatetooth was the first to issue the command to run, just before a wild dog burst through the undergrowth. asterdrift was
nearly taken down by its massive paws, but bluepuddle took the blow for his mate as he pushed her aside. winded by the dog, the gray warrior
couldn't get up to his paws in time to avoid the dog grabbing him by the throat and tossing him to the side. asterdrift yowled as she saw her
mate motionless, the pain in her eyes so raw that sorrelwhisker swore she'd never forget be able to forget it. lightningclaw ushered the
grieving molly away, sorrelwhisker following them as soon as their dark pelts were out of view from the dog as it ran towards the other
closest cat scents. separated from the rest of the patrol, sorrelwhisker could only hope that everyone was alright and that the dog would turn
tail and leave them alone. she, asterdrift, and lightningclaw hid underneath a bramble bush for stars' know how long, only given the clear that
they were safe once azuregaze had found them. her blue eyes were tired, sad even, and sorrelwhisker assumed the worst. minknose was found
dead, with saffronflame beside her.

➣ pain shot through every part of horizonstar's body and she let out a weak yowl, her voice cracking. the leader felt darkness washing over her as the pain ebbed and faded away, but this didn't calm her fear at all.

the grey and white molly lifted her head and looked around, her blue gaze falling on a familiar place, one she had seen in her dreams. horizonstar was in a large, white flower field that was lit up by stars that gave off a soft blue glow. the temperature was perfect, not too hot and not too cool. thin, wispy clouds floated along the beautiful night sky and a silent mist pooled around the molly's ankles. the grass under her paws was gentle and it tickled her paw pads. horizonstar realized slowly that she was in starclan.

"i lost a life," she noted to herself as she looked around at the illuminated flowers and shrubbery that surrounded her. the scents coming off of it were comforting and sweet, almost like a queen's milk or a warm greenleaf evening.

"i'm sorry i wasn't able to prevent it," she turned her head to see snowfinch standing behind her with remorse in her pink eyes.

at first, she felt a wave of relief to see the familiar face. horizonstar rushed towards to molly and rubbed against her, purring as she was happy to see her medicine cat. but then she stopped, dread quickly filling up her stomach. why was snowfinch here...? the leader stepped back and looked at the molly with sad eyes as the horrible realization hit her, noticing that her fluffy white fur was dotted with stars.

"i'm sorry my friend," snowfinch frowned apologetically. "i did all i could..."

"you did wonderful, snowfinch," horizonstar dipped her head with great respect towards the now deceased medicine cat. "thank you for serving my clan and helping us grow. we'll never forget you, i promise."

"i'm honored that i got the chance to meet you, horizonstar," the snow white molly smiled sadly.

the two touched noses before snowfinch made her way further into the starry field. she brushed her pelt against the leader's as she walked by, giving her one last bit of comfort. the starclan territory began to fade away as horizonstar woke up.

"'m afraid he ain't lookin' too well," bramblebuzz commented sadly about her denmate.

"copperheart," copperheart reminded them. "but yes, i'll get him some moss."

the ginger patched tom grabbed a mouthful of moss from his den before he slipped through the iris covered entrance of camp and padded over to the small brook near it. copperheart soaked the wadded up moss in the fresh, cool water. he watched as it expanded slightly when it began to hold more and more water. finally, the skinny cat picked it back up and headed back to his clanmates. water dripped from his jaws and the moss, making his jaws and chest slightly damp.

he wiggling back into the elder's den and placed the moss next to stormtail's maw. the tabby lapped at it gently, his eyelids fluttering. copperheart could tell he was close to death, but he wasn't very sad about it. he knew stormtail had lived out the rest of his life here in the care of irisclan, and they had all taken good care of him. stormtail was one of the most joyful cats copperheart had ever had the pleasure of meeting. the young medicine cat knew for sure he would be happy and safe in starclan, so he wasn't worried. he knew it was his time, copperheart was prepared.

"if he needs anything else, let us know," copperheart said to the other two elders. they nodded as he left them alone.

the clan had experienced so much grief recently that copperheart wasn't sure what he would do. as bad as it sounded, he had to admit that stormtail's death was going to be the least of his worries.
