they said that my pet was worth a late '10 rare, as well as that current year store pets are late '10 to early '11 rare and 2019 store pets are early '10 rare??? is that true?? ive been told 2020 store pets were worth around a '09 rare.

Here’s a handy chart for store values. Note that this guide is not the law and some users may want overpay than what is listed considering store pets will not be re-released. Some popular outcomes may fetch more than what is listed here.

Store Pet Values
2021 = late '10 rare
2020 = mid-'10 rare
2019 = early '10 rare
2018 = late '09 rare
2017 = mid-'09 rare
2016 = early '09 rare
2015 = 2 2009 rares
Anything earlier, 2009-2014, may vary depending on the pet & user but the loose values for 2014 to 2011 may look like:
2014 = 2 '09 rares + 1 '10 rare
2013 = low advent [3-6 '09 rares]
2012 = mid-advent to high advent [7-10 '09 rares]
2011 = ~2-4 mid-advents

I (personally!) would not accept this is I were you, the target dog is worth 2 MAs and the last trades for the store gryphon were valued around 2-4 MAs. While there are many trades valuing the gryphon dogs at 2 mid advents, considering the store pet is more valuable and in higher demand because it will not be re-released, I’d say to hold on to your store.

I'd personally stick to the gryphon, both have the same value (2 ma) but store pets are more desirable for trading.

The store pets are worth 250-295 c$, so with the addition of the vr it's overpay, but it's up to you if you would like to trade them away for c$.
