I remember a few days ago when everyone was worried over the PPS Lion being rare, but looking at the swap thread now, I am sure he is actually common, perhaps uncommon. It seems majority already have it! I even had some doubles over time.

I definitely don’t see it being common. There are still a toooooon of people looking for it in the swap thread. I can’t see it being less than uncommon, and possibly rare.

I got lucky and got two, so I’m auctioning the extra one off. I’m getting people offering ‘10 rares+. Which is obviously over pay even if it does end up rare, but I feel like that gives some idea of how much demand it has.

Demand is not rarity though. It's uncommon at most, but I believe it's just common. There are way too many of them out there, the simple fact you got two hints at it being less than rare.

I got kicked out of an auction for the lion because I said to myself that it might turn out to be a very common or something like that, and I just sent it as an editable trade so I could see if it would turn out to be an uncommon.

Oh no, I definitely realize that demand does not necessarily equal rarity. That’s why I’m trading mine before rarities come out. I expect that demand will drop off soon after that, even if it does end up rare.

As for it being common, I mean…anything is possible until we know for sure. But I remember when I got an August lion when they were released. Lots of people said it would only be common…sometimes I think they do it just to try to fight inflation…and we all know how that turned out.

I want to be clear…I am NOT saying that this is another August lion. Not even a little bit. I honestly wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it end up uncommon (though my guess is still rare). My point is that any time I see a pet that everyone seems to want, I don’t treat it as a common, no matter what people say. When it comes to unknown rarities, I’d rather treat a common like a rare and be wrong, than treat it like a common and end up kicking myself if it turns rare.

Sure, people can value their pets however they want but I'm just saying that this guy is way easier to get than both the August lion as well as the golden gacha pup were. It took me a week to get the August lion and a little less than a week to get the golden gacha pup... And it took me a grand total of one day to get this lion. And I've been actively seeking all three out the same way.
Not to mention there were way more of this lion than there were of the golden gacha pup. I found loads of people with doubles of them, even 3 sometimes. That just wasn't a thing with the gacha, whenever you found someone who had it, they usually only had one. And I of course don't remember how frequently I saw the august lion because that's litterally 9 years ago now, lol.

It's definitely not rare. It only has demand because it's a lion cub with an unknown rarity.

I got a Golden Gatcha for a recent rare within 3 days. This lion took me until yesterday to get and I had to offer a ton. I don't think it'll be super crazy rare, but rare summer lions seem to be a thing.

It was rare enough to be uncommon. I thought it would uncommon/rare, since the golden gacha turned out rare and I traded for the lion with about the same difficulty as I traded for the gacha.

Glad we can put this to rest at a middle ground. Also it gives me a certain level of satisfaction that it's not common, since the green tag wouldn't look near as good with its colors as the yellow tag does (:
