“Yes we can go as soon as I get my card back.” Jake said. When he got it he signed the paper and wrote in a very good tip. “Alright. Let’s get going.” He said and stood taking Nikki’s hand and heading out with the girls.

Nina was the first to get into the car with Duke in her lap
Once the door had shut Nikki turned to Jake. "Thank you for everything." she said with a smile.

Jake smiled at her. “Of course. But I do think we should talk. I mean that kiss was the best one I have ever had and I would really like it to happen again sometime so maybe you might consider a real date with me?” He asked her with a smile. He was blushing just a little.

Nikki smiled after noticing Jake's blush, "I'd like that a lot, how about we drop Nina off first, and then you and I can hang out a bit more and talk?" she suggested

“I like that idea.” He said with a smile and got in the car and put on his seatbelt. He looked back at Nina and Duke. He smiled. He was so glad that he got Duke. He seemed like a calm dog. Perfect for him.

Nikki drove Nina home and said good bye to her and Jannie before heading back to her car with Jake. "Thank you for letting her tag along with us."

Jake went with them to the door and headed to the car with her and smiled. “Of course. It was fun. She is a cute kid.” He said to her. He got in and Duke moved to the front and into his lap. He smiled and rubbed his head after putting his seatbelt on. “Where do you want to go to talk?” He asked her.

Nikki thought for a moment and she smiled as she had an idea. "do you trust me?" she asked him simply. She wanted to take him to a place that was special to her, but it was kind of a drive so she didn't want him to get weirded out.

He smiled at her a little confused. “I do trust you. A lot actually.” Jake said looking at her. He wondered where she would take them but he was excited. He was okay with wherever they went because he would be with her and that was kind of what he wanted right now. He watched her curiously. He petted Duke.

Nikki smiled at him, "Alright, you are in control of the Aux." she said passing the cord over to him, as she drove towards her dad's house.
