2021 Summer Event: Casual Chat

i love this summer events theme! it was absolutely stunning and i find it amazing that we had a cave event here and we're getting a cave update on minecraft. i will say it didn't feel as fleshed out as the events have in the past few years but it's been a hard year for everyone and i'm not sure if that's just me. i am super happy with what we got though! all of the backgrounds have been stunning, i've spent tokens on items which i never do, and i love the new pets i've gotten!

Just managed to complete a whole event collection even though I missed like five days of it and I’m feeling pretty proud of myself

Is anyone else getting spammed with journal pages? I was really late to the event (even though I am usually not) and saw that the journal pages were hard for people to get. Are they not as rare as I thought they were? I think I’ve gotten like 5 or 6 from the banner/gem mine.

Edit: I may have overpayed when getting one to complete my set if that’s the case lol

Nope. Only got two. The rest I traded for.

I have gotten 4 just from the banner, never from the gem mine, but I have gotten coouuuuntless pets from the gem mine which also seemed rare to begin with.

I got my 4 to keep as the pet and 1 of each item and must have traded away at least 5 more
They seemed very rare at 1st as everyone was looking for them and trying to trade for them but it’s just the hype and it always dies down as people start to find them for themselves
There are likely some people still looking for them though as if you weren’t very active you may not have got too many

They actually were pretty rare at first, but then they added them to the gem mine, and it seemed like they increased the drop cap overall.
