2021 Summer Event: Casual Chat

i just went to the archive to check that i have everything and… it shows a blue square next to “cave event” even though i have every pet from this event so far??? there’s literally a green check next to every single pet, and yet the event itself has a blue square… i’m worried. what am i missing?? is anybody else experiencing this?

edit: the problem seems to have fixed itself, so i can breathe easy now haha. got really worried that i had missed something for a moment there.

I did just go and check, and Yes I had that problem, but I also realised that it was because I was missing a pet. The archive does update randomly and because the event is still active, it might just keep changing... Perhaps double check you have all pets?

We think they increased their drop rate, as well as added them to the dig site, but I don't know if we confirmed for certain that the drop rate actually was increased. Still pretty lucky though! :D

That being said, though...

What exactly is this supposed to be?
Not gonna lie, I'm just a tad disappointed this guy's the one who has been roaring. They could have made a super cool spinosaurus with that lineart.. But instead they went with this Jurassic World-ish hybrid looking thing.
It's still a cool looking pet, I just really would have preferred a real dinosaur or maybe even something entirely different like a gorgonopsid.

I hate to admit how right you are - also its a little confusing the event is going though all the Mesozoic eras' and even slightly Pleistocene [with the wolly mammoths]. With the cold of the cave it would make more sense for it to be ice age themed but it seems to be flip flopping thought-out all of the past :') its a shame cause I would have loved to have seen some more dinosaurs from specific eras and it going though all the different ones could have been explained by the portal messing up- but atm its just not explained and expected that all dinosaurs and other mammals lived at the same time lol. I too am also hella confused as to what species it is meant to be and would have enjoyed some more interesting lineart- they made tons of effort with the others but the one with the hardest trade in kinda just reminds me of the birdlike store pets we got click.

STILL despite this I am really loving all the dino pets they fill my heart with joy and can still appreciate that its just a kids // not super serious game and not meant to be looked into so deeply like above lol XD
