My opinion on the energized crystal is that it was planned to originally need it to go through the portal, But when enough of us didn't have any journal pages, the plan changed. Who knows if we'll need it all now. It is cool-looking though. Just my two cents.

The drop rates of the journal has definitely gone up (or my luck has drastically improved). I have 4 total now I got on my own without trading through digging and the raised banner limit.
2 journal pages, 1 apology note, and 1 energized crystal, just so I can say I have one of each, haha.

AHHH I love the axolotls! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them. I can't wait to try and collect them. Too bad work makes it hard to keep up with the events, this year there's so many pets I want!

I agree with the higher drop rates of the journal page :0 I think i managed to get about 2 or 3 in a row yesterday!

My question is, if the energy crystals are meant to be used to open the portal (story-wise), then why the heck would they increase the drop rates after the portal has already been opened? It kinda doesn't fit in with the storyline, maybe it suggests that there's more big things to come :0 I think I'm just looking into it too much, but hey, it's always fun to dig deep into storylines and stuff !!

You don't find the crystals, you get the journal, trade the journal for a sorry page, trade in sorry page for the crystal.
