(Your cats are accepted! Thanks for joining, NotBobrox. As far as a recap goes, there are a few cats at the Centertree having a meeting, and all the other cats are in camp, on patrol, etc. This was a pretty good time to jump in, seeing as we don't have a lot going on at the moment.
@willow: I know, that's how I felt when I wrote it, but I couldn't come up with anything else. Dx)
WaterClan
Rainstar opened her mouth to call for Silvertail but let her jaws close when she remembered that the deputy had gone off to the meeting at Centertree.
I sure hope she behaves herself, the leader thought to herself.
She's been very grumpy as of late. There was no visible reason for the she-cat's sudden change in behavior. Sure, Silvertail had always been a bit impatient, but her need for speed had been overtaken by some imperturbable gloominess. It was causing her to be bossy, and Rainstar didn't like it. The blue-pelted leader quickly organized the patrols and sent her warriors off. Since the Gathering had been the night before, the patrols were small and made up of the cats that had not gone or that had managed to catch a few winks after they had reached camp. Now all that was left to do was admire the peace of the empty campsite. There were no kits to scamper across the earth, their mother calling after them. The elders were resting, and Pinefeather had taken Spottedpaw to gather herbs before the coming leafbare claimed the green leaves and turned them into shriveled, blackened bits of plant matter. Rainstar smiled sadly to herself, thinking of her mate and kits scattered throughout the clans. She hadn't seen any of them last night. The Gathering had ended and began too quickly, and with all the drama, she had hardly had the capacity to think straight. Though she refused to admit it to anyone, the she-cat with graying fur missed her kin.
Warriors of the Dawn
Heathersong nodded as Whiterunner finished giving directions. It was a relief to not have to be in charge for a while. The medicine cat padded over to the kits. "Melodykit, you'll come with me. Ravenkit, you go with that spotted she-cat over there," she added, flicking her tail in Dirtpath's direction before leading Melodykit away to where the RockClan she-cat stood. "What are we doing?" the tiny she-kit mewed, gazing up at Heathersong. How to put it... "We're going to learn a game," the medicine cat replied. Melodykit seemed satisfied with this answer, because she licked her white paw and turned her head towards Islandsong.
Dirtpath was so excited that Whiterunner had trusted her to lead a training group. What would they do? The dappled she-cat had a few moments to think while she waited for the other three cats to trickle over. She had a warrior, an apprentice, and a kit to train. Maybe she should start by seeing what the apprentice knew by having her practice with Leafshadow. Ravenkit could watch, and then he could practice a few moves with Whisperpaw while Dirtpath got to know the LeafClan tom. Dirtpath smiled at Leafshadow who had padded over and sat down. He half smiled back before turning away to look for the younger cats.
He doesn't seem very talkative, Dirtpath observed.
Nightfall sighed and looked over at the white she-cat standing proudly off to the side. She was FireClan. And he was IceClan. Nightfall certainly didn't like the look of this. He glanced at Whiterunner, the RockClan deputy. The huge tom's muscles rippled as he strode over to where Lightwhisper was lying. There would be no complaining to
that guy.
Better suck it up, he told himself, getting to his feet.
(We're missing so many people! x.x I have to find out what happened to Fairy, and Nala hasn't been on either. *sigh*)
